I lived there, right on the Dockside of the boats for about 3 years. Don't decide to stay there long. The worst of the worst, is the..BARKING SEALS EVERYBODY WANTS TO FEED. YOU NEVER GET SLEEP. PLUS ONCE THE BIG EARTHQUAKE COMES, NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE, THERE IS NOT 1 SAFE PLACE YOU CAN GO.SAY GOOD BYE,IF YOU ARE THERE WHEN IT COMES. OTHERWISE I LOVED IT!

Thanks for your video. Oregon is my home state but I am far away. I suggest if people are interested in coastal living, they should visit Newport and not dismiss it out of hand. There are some beautiful places around there, and it's a nice town. Yay, Oregon!

"Cat", here! Been out here on the Oregon coast six years, now. Have traveled from Cabo San Lucas, Baja Peninsula, Mexico to Homer, Alaska many, many years and of that entire route our favorite area is from Ft. Bragg, California south to Newport, Oregon north!

Love Newport and the surrounding areas. BUT, on nice days from summer to deep fall, you will not find parking anywhere near the waterfront. If you do, though, it's a charming walk.

I had to chuckle when I saw the name Paul Clem, my last name is also Clem. Seems everywhere I look I can find a Clem, no relation though.🙂
