Visit the historic Bay front city of Newport, Oregon for a Travel Guide to what to see, do and photograph in the coastal town. Jefferson Graham is joined by the gang from the Clearwater restaurant and local photographers Sharon Biddinger and Christian Flores-Munoz.
Along the way for this Pacific Northwest road trip, they tour the town and visit the top photo spots, including the Devil's Punchbowl, Yaquina Bay Bridge and other local landmarks.

Ten photo tips discussed in video:
-Yaquina Bay Bridge: Timing is everything. We photographed it 15 minutes after sunset to get the water reflection
-Yaquina Head Lighthouse: The lighting was dull, so we livened it up with Color Efex filters in Lightroom from NIK software.
-Lighthouse: More NIK Color Efex filters.
-Devil's Punchbowl. Even with a 24mm lens, we could hardly capture the enormity of this park, so we switched to super wide on the GoPro Hero 7 Black.
-Marina. HDR shot, three exposures, one normal, under and over-exposed, and sandwiched together in Lightroom software.
-Yaquina Bay Bridge. Another HDR shot.
-Sunset at Agate Beach. We were lucky to get amazing colors just as the sun was setting--and to focus on two lovers gazing at the sun, which we used as a silhouette.
-Portrait of three fisherman on boat. We asked. They said yes.
-Lighthouse. Shot on iPhone 8 Plus and augmented with Snapseed filters, drama and HDR.
-Car driving shots: GoPro attached to side door.

Welcome to Oregon. Plenty of good things inland too. Yes it rains much of fall, winter & spring. Usually starts in Oct-Nov but it almost always ends by July.
My friend lives near Forest Grove and we love visiting him every summer. Love the Gorgeous Gorge, Ashland, Bend, Portland, Eugene.....you get the point. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@skipnudd3065 haven't hit the camp grounds in a few years. For the nicer state campgrounds I think you needed to book about a year ago

Mo's Clam Chowder! And I prefer eating at the Annex. So you can look out over the harbor. Spent many a vacation at Newport. I even donated money to help with the bridge repair. I've walked over the bridge many times, the only way to really experience it. Yes, if I had money I would move to Newport.

Agreed. But in a way I'm glad he didn't mention Nye Beach, (my favourite), keeps the crowds away. I go to the Oregon Coast for relaxation. I found this tour video full of people and lacking the allure of the 8 miles of beaches in Newport that offer beauty and tranquility. Let the hoards and crowds drink and look at tacky t-shirts along the Bayfront!
