- Hi everyone! Welcome back to the channel! Today WE ARE SEWING!!!! Yayyyy! I wanted to make a quick and easy project to really get back in the groove and also because I'm been reaching for easy, comfortable pieces to wear daily so this is perfect! We're sewing along to McCalls 8259 View D in this video! I used a 100% Rayon Fabric for this skirt from Melanated Fabrics (sold out) but I've linked a great option below.

And same with the narrow rolled hem - since trying a seam guideline first, I've never looked back, finding it a lot easier and less frustrating. I've always struggled with rolled hems at the ironing board.

Glad to see you and your videos. One thing I have learned from your videos is to use lots of pins. I always used as few as possible. But after watching you and trying it your way (lots of pins) has made a tremendous difference in my sewing. Love your videos.

I am relatively new to sewing so I couldn't understand a thing without the voice over.
Hello. Do you use a walking foot with all of your sewing?
Yes and no. It depends on the machine I’m sewing on. This machine has it set that the walking foot is engaged (I could probably change the default settings) so one this one, I do sew with the walking foot. On my other machine, it doesn’t have this feature so I don’t sew with it. So it just depends on what machine I’m sewing on. Thank you for watching!
