The biggest & most overlooked change is you can now see where your bombs are gonna land when you fire them from the ship. In the original you just aim & hope for the best
@@gamenerdlegacy One decision I will never understand is why rename the third game from The Legend Of Zelda Triforce of The Gods to A Link To The Past? The western name misses the point and the name no longer makes any sense.
@@spartanq7781 Yeah that change was cuz Nintendo of America didn't like any religious references in video games. So many games of the 80s and early 90s were censored.
It's a look that grew on me over the years. I didn't like it at first back in the day cuz I loved Ocarina too much. But once I played WW, it blew my mind 🤯
I loved the addition of the Swift Sail, map on your game pad instead of the pause screen, and extra pictures, but hated the shortening of the Triforce quest. It made the big wallet useless and I actually liked doing the quest so I wasn't a fan. Another thing to note is in the Wii U version there were some instances where taking a single picture got you multiple figures unlike the GC version.
Yeah there was so much they improved with the HD version. If you enjoyed the Triforce quest then yeah I understand you not enjoying the fact they shortened it. I didn't know about the single picture getting multiple figures tho. If that's the case then maybe I'll go and finally complete that quest lol.
It is definitely a challenge in patience. Especially, getting all the figurines for the Nintendo Gallery! But if you can do it, you are hardcore and amazing 🙌
Well I grew with the Wii and I figured out it can play gamecube games so I started with original version of Wind Waker I also play the HD too I would like both versions as like replay games I enjoy tbh I like HD more tbh because it runs better and looks better I did also have the Zelda special edition Wii U when I got it
@@gamenerdlegacy Ikr a switch version would be nice some also want Twilight Princess port for Switch but I would say if WW or TP came on Switch I would say Wind Waker be more likely as it came for Gamecube and HD on Wii U most people didn't have a gamecube or Wii U at the time of their marketing Twilight Princess on came out on Gamecube and Wii at launch however the gamecube and wii version were sort of different they just flipped the game for the wii version like Link is mostly seen as left handed but since Wii's launch and the introduction of motion controls in the Wii version of TP Link righted handed instead of left as most people are right handed this would make since as the Wii remote would mostly be used by a right hand. The HD version of Twilight Princess on the other hand you can both versions by pro controller for left handed Link or motion controls for right handed Link it be cool TP port there was but for Switch it probably have to same version as The Wii U version.
Ive played both. Love the look and updates in HD but ill always love the OG Gamecube game and its aestehtic and the UI with GCN buttons. Same on Twilight Princess. The Wii U buttons look so damn soulless compared to a gamecube
Yeah I hear you there. I do feel the overall control is easier on Gamecube. I dont really enjoy feel and joystick placement on the Wii U gamepad. The screen on the gamepad is well utilized tho
Getting the triforce parts was so jarring in the gamecube version
Agreed

Very true. The aiming feature for does save time. Good call 👍
What? That wasn't in the original? What were the developers on?
@@spartanq7781 Yeah certain decisions back then are mind boggling

I love the art style of wind waker, haven’t played it but I just love the look

I like how much easier the Wii U is, but I’ve only played the game cube version which is my childhood favorite. I completely forgot about the Wii U.
Its still great on Gamecube. The Wii U improves the game but I don't like using the the Wii U Gamepad. I much prefer the Gamecube controller
The triforce quest was brutal on the og. Great content
Agreed and thanks 👍
Wii u has sp much quality to life changes, sailing was a pain do to changing wind direction and swift sail just makes it better
The Swift Sail is a god send 🙌

I haven't played either, but to me the gamecube version sounds more like a challenge, which i like.
It sounds more tedious rather than challenging imo

@@Toucanz I found it tedious
I don't have a wii u, I've always felt jealous of people with wind waker hd haha. Still holding out for a switch release, you never know!

You're Welcome 👍
I prefer the Gamecube there is no clues on how to do anything no short cuts like HD and it took me 92 hours to complete.
Haha cool. You're hardcore. The GameCube also has that fun feature for a 2nd player with the Gameboy Advance.

There has to be a switch port
I sure hope so 🙏
The fact this isnt on switch is pretty pathetic 😢😢
Yeah it really needs to be
Idk I've only played GameCube
Still a good one and it still looks good on the ol' Gamecube.
GameCube
Ive played both. Wii u version is better. Some people dont like the graphical changes but I dont get it.
Really? What dont they like about the graphical changes?
The original of course... nobody wants the HD nerfy version...
Haha fair 👍
