Currently I am looking at three different airbrush and was wondering what you or anyone else thought on them. I'm looking at the Harder & Steenbeck infinity cr vs Harder & Steenbeck Chameleon vs Iwata HP-CS. What are your experience between the three, if any? Recommendation between them or anyone that you may have used or prefer? Lastly compressor, I haven't even started looking at them yet. lol

    Y si te decidieses a hacer una serie de vídeos de esas gamas, también sería maravilloso una serie de vídeos de teoría del color y combinaciones de colores. Y también como crearnos una paleta de colores reducida. De hecho, es a lo que en estos momentos aspiro. A tener solo 8-10 colores y hacer las mezclas yo mismo.
    Se que algunos colores, especialmente los fluorescentes no se pueden conseguir con mezclas de colores básicos. Pero aun así, me parece que habría mucho interés. Al fin y al cabo, que supiésemos hacer nuestras mezclas desde un reducido número de colores, también es más creativo. Bueno, ya dirás. En todo caso agradecido y un saludo desde las Islas Afortunadas. Ciao.

    Thank you for your tutorial... it's so awesome... I'm struggling with my Airbrush for a year now. You helped me a lot. I have also a H&S, but an Evolution. May I ask what pressure are you using? And if you are working with very diluted paint to glaze with the airbrush, do you adjust the pressure on your compressor or do you just handle it by the trigger of your brush.

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 4 lety

      BigAbeTwelve the pressure is 1.8 bar and I control the "air" with the trigger

    Thank you. Very useful video! When you clean the needle with the brush, do you use thinner or water? It's a big problem the dried color in the needle, like a film.

    Hi such a great video. One thing ive wondered a while when watching airbrush videos is how long each layer needs to dry. In all videos people seems to put the next layer on pretty fast. Sometimes you see them mix a bit of white into the cup and then continue without cleaning implying really short time between layers.

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 3 lety

      Thank you. The paint dries very quickly as it is acrylic paint :)

    Thank you, very good tutorial I will try with thinner layers next time. Hopefully with better results. I think I don't entirely understand why do you always click the trigger so quickly and so many times instead of just pushing for a moment to finish some of the bigger layers. Of course final highlights needs bigger precision. Also am I understanding correctly that I should move the airbrush in the direction of the brightest highlight - just like with the standard brush?

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 4 lety +1

      yes, I use the airbrush like a brush, and yes I click the trigger quickly because for me this way is better

    What PSI do you start do you start with and do you decrease pressure with each step? I find I need 30 - 40 psi to avoid splattered coverage. Also do you have advise on keeping primer from pealing off the subject, also does paint temperature help?

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 3 lety +1

      I use 21'75 -26 PSI (this is 1.5-1.8 Bar) for pressure, and I don't need to change it, but the pressure depends on many things so use the best it works for you! About the paint temperature, I've been painting in very dry and hot places and also others with high humidity and very low temps and they work fine every time. I cant assure you this is a point to keep an eye on, sorry :(

    Excellent video, thorough and clear, many thanks. I discovered many things throigh one year of practice, hopefully I see I get most things right but I still need more practice. I wish I had found such a video when I started.
    - I use a 0.2 needle and also use a brush with cleaner to clean the needle in between, though I don't use my Artist opus brush for this;) Do you think that the amount of flow improver might helps reduce the clog on the needle?
    - I tend to mix directly in the cup, especially with the air range and single colour, though I recon mixing in a blister is better obvioulsy for the reasons you explain. I have seen some peoples intentionally creating bubles in the cup, by blocking the nozzle with a finger to mix the color. I'm curious what do you think of this?
    - Do you use standard water or demineralized water for thinning?

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 4 lety +1

      Arsen Marek thanks mate🙏🏻. hahaga I use an old artis opus brush 🤣. I'll record a video how to use the flow so you can see better the advantages😉.
      Yes, I saw that method and each painter has his trick but for me I prefer to use a blister because sometimes the paint has lumps and if you mix in the cup..... I'm very sure if I could get a good result😅

    Does thinning out game color primers to use in the airbrush work too? Or should I try to find a primer made specifically for the airbrush? I don’t understand all the science behind primers vs regular paints and don’t want to do something wrong to the primer to make it less effective.

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 4 lety

      Ronald Robinson if you use color primers I recommend you add 1 or 2 drops of water or thinner, these paints are thinner so you don't need more drops but if you use MC, GC, citadel etc you hace to add more drops of water so you will get a good dilution

    To avoid the paint spiders, do you actually push down less to reduce the airflow. Can you reduce the airflow with the trigger? Thanks, great tutorial.

    • @AngelGiraldeZ
      @AngelGiraldeZ  Před 4 lety

      yes, you can control the pressure with the trigger but if you work with high pressure ,you can have that problem, paint spiders
