I'm a tank fan, but shakur is on tanks level just without the power. His ability to guage and open and close distance is next level. His footwork allows him to always be in proper position to to throw or evade shots, and he has that Mayweather kind of pop on his punches. If he can box smart and get 12 rds with tank, your having a total different kind of conversation. Also he doesn't fight in a way that's reckless enough to give tank too many clear shots on him. If the fight ever takes place this is truly a 50/50 fight

Out of all the young fighters I feel Shakur will be the best in the future. Outside his skills and talent I like how he's dictating his career by always wanting to fight the best and at the same time staying very active (possibly most active young fighter in the 130-140 division outside Tank) which is key for his growth and experience. I'm excited to see Shakur develop into the future face of boxing with his great personality and hunger for achieving great things.

Shakur don't have the power for Tank to be worried about getting ko'd. Shakur has to worry about Tanks power for every second of the 12 rounds, especially knowing that Tank can easily take you out to the body as well as the head. Shakur fights every opponent with the mindset of "Hit, but don't get hit." That means he wants to be locked in every second of every round. Technically and fundamentally sound for every moment of the fight. That mindset prepares him for each and every fight. Anyone can knock you out at any time. The sport of boxing is dangerous. Shakur Stevenson understands that, and boxes with that understanding, lol. He boxes with the mindset, "I gotta be on point because this guy can potentially DERAIL my aspirations with one or a group of punches."
He's an intelligent fighter. He's been coached and trained in that regard. He's automatically going to fight with that mindset regardless if he fights Tank Davis or Donald Duck next, lol.

Shakur is definitely an excellent fighter very skilled and super talented. Once Tank computes his style and times him with the powerful equalizer, I don’t think Shakur can handle that kind of punch. Not sure how hard his chin been tested. On the contrary, if Shakur uses his legs strategically and keep it at a distance and not get touched by Tanks equalizer knockout power, Shakur can definitely win by points. We shall see, it would be an incredible fight. Both excellent fighters. 60-40 in favor of Tank on this one due to his power and ring IQ
Will Tank become the first power hitter to become the best of his era? Usually those guys don't end up being the best of their era when you look at Tyson getting rocked by Lewis, prime Foreman getting rocked by Ali, Wilder getting rocked by Fury, Herns losing to Lenard, etc. It's usually the best boxer that ends up the best of their era which is why Shakur is the only guy I see beating Tank. I pick Tank to beat literally everyone else but feel I must leave whoever is the best boxer to be the last guy standing that dethrones him and I pick Shakur. But who knows. Maybe just maybe Tank ends up becoming the best of his era while being the first power hitter to do so in a very long time.

Shakur is Top 5 in this division. Supremely talented and a fan so im not talking personally. Im solely speaking on Star potential and blowing up. Just observation in 30+ years of watching Boxing. Unless it's a KO, at this point an entertaining loss would be better than a boring Win for Shakur. I think everyone respects his skills. It's his fight style and that style has never been popular. Floyd is probably the only Star who made it to that level being defense and safety first. Shakur doesnt have Floyd's personality tho. IF Shakur went in there and beat lets say Tank by point decision, I guarantee the narrative will be the same. IF he lost to Tank but it was an entertaining fight, i think that would garner him more fans, fame and etc

Floyd became a superstar because of his mouth and things like dancing with stars. When he was tearing up the division & knocking everyone out as Pretty Boy Floyd he still was not as big a star as Oscar or Manny. When he changed persona and became Money Mayweather and running his mouth and flaunting money people wanted to see HIM get knocked out and it became a different product. People have a weird nostalgic new memory/history of Floyd as though he was this big loved hero all his career. He only became that afterwards. Even Conor came from MMA and everyone wanted him to win. Thats absolutely not true. I can't tell you one fight that he's had but ive seen all of Tanks fights aside from maybe 4 of his early ones. He saying that cause he knows he's not a k.o kind of fighter. Hes going the distance. So he has to rely on defense to get him through. Dont get me wrong I've watched his fights i just honestly dont remember them.
hes like flolyd he dont need to cut weight to fight smaller fighters, he fights at his normal walking around weigjt
