  • -Except for the frame, all parts from this build are from gear best and are listed below.-
    With winter coming just around the corner, I wanted to have something to fly inside beside my standard whoop. It needed to be brushless, powerful, and have close to the same "feel" of a 5" quad. Everything I found fell short until I noticed the release of the Rakonheli 2S Delrin Carbon 66mm Brushless Whoop Kit. This is what I've been hunting for. The same exact dimensions of a tiny whoop, but with the power of the gods!!!! This really has me pumped for indoor flying, but has the power and the range to take it outside to rip around.

    Raw FPV just ordered everything almost exactly as listed on rotorbuilds. Went with Sunnysky 15000 KV. The racestars were not available. Hope they hold up. Should have my 66 mm complete in a month depending on deliveries.

      Notta Quad luckily no. Lol. She loves chasing my original whoop. But new she's really getting exercise with how fast this thing is.

      Infinity FPV of course you can! www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjLmJitnJPXAhVCWYYKHXfXD-4YABAFGgJ2dQ&ae=1&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESEeD202JmsChnMaIjjWZCOoyA&sig=AOD64_136e53HWoyOy7gR4cVB4dskmHnzw&ctype=5&q=&ved=0ahUKEwi5_pGtnJPXAhWm4IMKHWBLArkQwg8IJw&adurl=m.gearbest.com/radios-receiver/pp_638511.html%3Fcurrency%3DUSD%26vip%3D760243%26gclid%3DCj0KCQjw1dDPBRC_ARIsAJZrQfpTs4bephTzzOsk4DJkf-CmGioX5N_KhOTl9SajMnIFjrJ8iCWlU9gaAg0tEALw_wcB this guy or any dsmx micro reciver will work.

    @Hakosukaaa Před 6 lety +2

    That's awesome. The "Whoop there it is" instrumental would've been more fitting hahaha. What are your flight times and did you have to make the special 2S JST 2.0 power lead for two whoop batteries? Also how are you getting RSSI from that board?

    • @RawFreestyleFPV
      @RawFreestyleFPV  Před 6 lety +1

      Remigio Isla-nd Hey, I though about that song lol. I'm getting about 2:30 going full blast. I'm using 2 230 mAh 1s hv lipos in series. You can see my build list and pics of the build here. rotorbuilds.com/build/7322. The 16x16 esc and fc can handle 2s with out any mods, and the fc is a f4 omnibus with bf osd. I'm using a frsky xm reciver with updated firmware that puts rssi onto the 8th reciver channel, and that is displayed in the osd.

    • @Hakosukaaa
      @Hakosukaaa Před 6 lety +1

      Awesome, thank you so much for the response! XM or XM+ receiver? Didn't know you can get RSSI on the XM. Noticed you're running the cam with the tiny speaker + ATX03, was this on purpose? If so, how's the audio? I have the 1000tvl version sitting around that I can put to good use hahaha.

    • @RawFreestyleFPV
      @RawFreestyleFPV  Před 6 lety

      Remigio Isla-nd yeah. The mini Mic is pretty good. It helps to hear the motors since you can get pretty far out. I've crashed a few times in some odd spots and the mic came in handy for locating the quad. The next thing I need to do, is use the esc buzzer script for finding the quad when it's lost.

    • @Hakosukaaa
      @Hakosukaaa Před 6 lety +1

      Wow that's a good idea. So you're running the XM receiver? If so, what FW to enable the RSSI? Where's the best/fastest place to get the Rakon frame?

    • @RawFreestyleFPV
      @RawFreestyleFPV  Před 6 lety

      Remigio Isla-nd www.frsky-rc.com/xm-1g-sbus-non-telemetry/ that should have rssi update if your reciver didnt already come with it. As for the frame I went through their main page. They are the only ones that sell the 2s atm. I ordered everything on the same day as my order from banggood. Everything showed up at the same time.

    Just finished my build, so far just a few LOS flights. This thing rips, cant wait to start pulling laps with it. check out a test flight video here czcams.com/video/_lYm87Gh1Gs/video.html.
    thanks to RAW FPV for getting me excited enough to build this thing.

    • @hoddem
      @hoddem Před 6 lety

      Things didn't go so well, I am having flip outs and random reboots of the flight controller. After a bunch of testing what I found was that the VTX, receiver and camera are drawing about 300ma. my fight controller is rated for 500ma. it seems that the flight controller is struggling to run everything at once without brown outs. I can disable the VTX and fly LOS all day long. Every flight controller I have found only has 500ma of 5v power except the one you have listed which has 1A. So my only option right now is to order a whole new stack.

    Good day,
    I’m new in the FPV Drone world so I want to try some Micro FPV Drone entry level first.
    I found a few :
    1 - Redpawz R011 5.8G 40CH Micro FPV Racing Drone 1000TVL FOV 120 Degree
    2 - Eachine E010C Micro Mode 2 (Left Hand Throttle) FPV Racing 800TVL 40CH
    3 - Eachine E013 Micro FPV Drone 5.8G 1000TVL 40 CH
    4 - Eachine Q90C Flyingfrog FPV RC Racing Drone 5.8G 1000TVL 40 CH
    All under 70$, which one do you suggest me ? Or do you have other suggestions with remote control included ?
    I’m looking for good quality camera image and I’m not a racer. A few turn around the house and inside.... from my living room and I’ll be happy.
    Without knowing if I’ll like this hobby, I’m also thinking about buying the :
    FPV Goggles Quanum Cyclops V2 since I wear prescription glasses.
    Thanks for your help and time.

      To be honest, its better to spend money now on good equipment so your not having to rebuy the same thing of better quality later. if you buy a good pair of fatsharks attitude v4's now and if (thats a huge if) you dont like the hobby, you can turn around and sell them for about 30 bucks less than you bought them for, so you wont loos out that much. Same with your transmitter, youll want at least a frsky taranis qx7. if you dont like it, you can resell it for about 10-20 bucks less than what you paid. To go with the Fatsharks, and the Taranis, I would recommend buying this guy the Eachine E010S.
      www.banggood.com/Eachine-E010S-65mm-Micro-FPV-Raicng-Quadcopter-with-800TVL-Came-Based-On-F3-Brush-Flight-Controller-p-1119427.html?rmmds=search&ID=522764&cur_warehouse=USA
      That is great for learning the basics of flying fpv with in your house. I cant stress it enough with buying the better options first rather than working your way up. ive seen so many pilots try and work their way up to the top gear and end up spending double if not triple the cost had they started out right. you wont be able to sell the cheap gear if you want out, since everyone who wants out or wants to upgrade is getting rid of the same junk. if you have any other questions hit me up.

      The FC looks like it's back in stock. there's also a similar one on bangood that pops up if you search "2s 4in1 ESC". There's a bunch of good alternate camera's out there. I'm planing on using the AKK BS-2 OSD. More importantly you want any camera in the 3-4 gram range.
