It's gotten to the point where I'd rather listen to Corny's review of dynamite than actual AEW. It's so much more entertaining

If it wasn’t for Cornette’s review, I wouldn’t watch the show. There is nothing on the show that is a draw for any reason. TK is an embarrassment at this point

Whether you like him or not, Kenny has always been miles ahead of the Buckaroos and the rest of the elite in terms of star power, in-ring skills and everything else. He just chose the wrong friends.

I feel Kenny is kinda like Tony. Has the money/abilities to do whatever they want. Unfortunately they have difficulty making friends, and that is where the Bucks come in.

Ending it with Tony doing the throat cut gesture and rolling his eyes in the back of his head.

I don’t understand this now. The verdict has long been in. Most wrestling fans don’t want to watch the young bucks, Jack Perry, and Orange Cassidy, guys who just shouldn’t be pro wrestlers in the first place, and Jericho the guy who was Edge and Christian at this point in time and their lives, let alone indulging themselves and being indulged to this ridiculous extent, and having endless hours of TV devoted to them.
Great comment, completely agree. No wrestling fan with a brain wants to watch Orange Cassidy, the Midget Bucks and Jungle Boy.

i enjoy watching the bucks wrestle (though i don't care much for how they seem to behave behind-the-scenes), and love orange cassidy.
but then, i have a broader and deeper appreciation for wrestling than a lot of other fans, and recognize that there's not a limited amount of space within the business, there is enough room for all styles of wrestling, even stuff i don't like (like stuntshow deathmatch garbage).
Mate, most wrestling fans is here a factual statement based on all metrics. Sorry that this impotently enrages you, but by all means, YOU as an individual, along with a minority of wrestling fans, are free to carry on enjoying watching them, and then hitting the internet to display your impotent rage that most wrestling fans don’t.

AEW marks and the entire company needs to listen to these recaps in order to see where the product needs to improve. Cornette would be a great quality control guy. He picks out properly all the inconsistencies and logic issues in production, presentation and performance.

The absolute worst mindset is that all heels have to be cool or edgy. Then what is the babyface left with? JBL was a phenomenal heel because he avoided anything that made him likeable and just made people DESIRE beatings towards him in every match. Not ONE SINGLE CHEER in his entire JBL run. Incredible.

I've been hearing some crazy, outlandish rumors from some of those youtube Journalist videos saying that AEW made Swerve champion just to be some kind of Transitional champion so that they can make Will Ospreay the new Champion and have a long term storyline or something like that. I want to know how much of it is actually true.
A couple years ago I was in a car accident blackout and got back to my feet quicker than Swerve did on dynamite

Listening to Jim's description of an AEW show reminds me of the tv station Weird Al Yankovic takes over in UHF....which is a cinema classic, but shouldn't be what you aspire to in real life broadcasting
UHF is an underrated classic.
Instead of assuming racism, bigotry or out of touch commentary. AEW would greatly benefit from listening to these recaps and taking notes.

I just want to say, I have been involved in fantasy booking since 2001. For many years with the official fantasy wrestling group sponsored by the NWA. If Tony would have been writing and booking this shit with any of the groups I've been involved with, he would have been criticized plenty. He gives internet bookers a bad name. The people to really blame for AEW are the soft ass readers who kissed his ass for years and told him his shit was gold. I've been fantasy booking for 23 years and I am better than Tony and know damn well I have no business writing real television, so does everyone else I write with. I am embarrassed to be in the same community as Tony Khan, who writes like a 13 year old novice.
Seriously, when I was 8 - 12 years old I booked a promotion with my wrestling figures and it made a lot more sense, guys were being elevated well, nothing silly and obviously fake took place. I don't think I was amazingly gifted, I think most 8 year olds could produce a better, more logical wrestling promotion than Tony Khan can right now.
I feel like I build storyines with more thought and care in WWE 2K24 than Tony does his multi million dollar company

I do revel and celebrate AEWs woes because things that suck shouldn't exist.
This is like listening to Bryan and Vinny review TNA in the 2000s-2010s, except Bryan and Vinny did not have this level of insight and TNA was in much better shape than AEW. TNA was also fighting a more powerful WWE, ratings-attendance wise, but the gap is still bigger now...closer during the pandemic, but wider now.

I still don't get how the Bucks and JB aren't fired in kayfabe for attacking their boss. At least with Austin and McMahon it made sense because Austin was the biggest star in wrestling and as much as Vince hates him, he couldn't afford to fire him. But the Bucks aren't stars, they drive ratings down and they have go away heat.

Im from alberta and looking up tickets in edmonton for tonight. It looks like they booking there big wrestling arena and will have more people watching the oilers outside at the hockey party then inside watching aew. Looks like it be a big arena with 1500 fans for a 19k arena. Kind of fun. I was looking up to get road game watchalong party

I thought every major weekly show Raw, Dynamite and Smackdown is taking place on a work day but people can still attend since the show starts 2-3 hours after people get off work, plenty of time to go there if you live a couple hours away if you really want but perhaps you work late night shift !
I hate the Oilers, but I’d rather watch them on a big screen outside of the stadium, than pay money to watch AEW.
And 4 thousand tickets (3,900 according to Wrestletix) in a 19K arena is not something to celebrate, especially since they were close to 6 thousand last time they were there

Unfortunately the ppv has the wrong name in dynasty. What they should do is a full on Pamela Barnes Ewing (look it up kids) waking from a dream moment. Tony could come to misty eyed in the shower, realise that all his real wrestlers on AEW were just projections in his mind on to his matel figures! Then maybe a nurse could appear and Tony's in the Betty Ford, or a mental institution..?!?!

You know Cornette is fair when critiquing AEW and its talents when even he will compliment Omega if he does something positive. Corny routinely praises many of the talents in AEW. Bucks ain’t ever getting any love though. Haven’t earned it.
