Welcome to the Official No Rolls Barred CZcams Channel!
Adam Blampied & the gang from WrestleTalk are creating a brand-new channel all about getting YOU into board games!
At NRB, you’ll find a variety of fun and entertaining content, including Top 10 lists, special guests playing boardgames, deep dives on classic games, and MUCH MORE!
Adam making lists about things that he's so genuinely into is the best thing. Glad to be able to see it happen.
I love that all the cards in all the games have card sleeves because Adam is just that protective
I'm so happy Adam makes lists again
He’s been making lists since January
@@TheRprince07 I know, but I don't take it for granted
There goes Adam making ANY list about ANYTHING so AMAZING!!! Love it!!
2:09 The Resistance does have the better theme...and the Hidden Agenda Expansion, along with the latest version of the Resistance, already includes all Avalon roles and more. Plus there are 2 other expansions.
these lists are almost my favorite thing on youtube! So hilarious :D While seeing new games. Love it
I missed Blood on the Clocktower on that list, but great list. I am definitely going to get Detective Club, that looks mint.

I wonder if Adam would put Blood On The Clocktower on this list now that it is out?
Considering their 29 episode series about the game, I am inclined to believe so lol
@@Ouryuu-Zenokun Exactly
Side note: This comment is a blast from the past! LOL
Great list. Thankfully, you’re not costing me too much at the moment cos I already have most you’re mentioning in the Collection Builder videos. 😊
Dead of Winter is AMAZING! Though using variants from BGG helps immensely (especially when you combine Crossroad cards from all expansions and promos). Battlestar Galactica is also fantastic, but being Out of Print, it's hard to get a hold of without shelling out loads of money (I picked it up during the show's lifetime since it was my favorite show on TV at the time).
I managed to get my copy of BSG in an eBay auction for about 90 quid.
Considering it usually goes for over 300, I think I did quite well.
Awesome to see A Fake Artist Goes to New York get some love!
Our group loves Deception, but also high up the list is New Salem.
Battlestar Galattica is my favorite. Finding the traitors is secondary to surviving the game but it's amazing
To bad it’s out of print now
Great video and amazing picks here! I can 100% confirm Deception is the best deduciton game and possibly the best board game ever!
Blampie is back... Bloody hell I've missed him
It’s still on Kickstarter but I can’t wait to get my hands on Blood on the Clocktower. Shut Up and Sit Down’s review and description had me instantly intrigued. It’s like One Night Ultimate Werewolf on steroids. You choose 1 of 3 towns, each with 20 or so roles and like Werewolf you have to find the demon or monster. Players can still participate if they die however they only get one final vote for the rest of the game. There are even roles for people who come after the game has started. It would easily be on this list if it was out. I highly recommend the Shut Up and Sit Down review and checking out the game when it comes out! Also I’m very very happy to see Adam making lists about his passions on CZcams again!
I was going to ask about that game. Seems great
Have you been watching their play throughs of BotC on No Rolls Barred? They are fantastic.
Okay, I legitimately hadn’t heard of #1 or #2. I’m excited to try them out
1 is really good and i agree that is probably the best social decudction game on the list. Dead of Winter is excellent too! It's probably the heaviest social deduction games I've played but still excellent.
The Wrestletalk crew should play Spyfall
I’m not so much a fan of the one night mechanic in one night ultimate werewolf
I like the idea that the deliberation phase informs the next kill
Who do you target?
Do you pick the person leading the charge against you?
That might thin that vote out, but it also looks mighty suspicious
Do you pick someone that you convinced to vote with you? That makes your next vote tougher, but it does make you seem more innocent.
Do you focus on the person that had the second most votes, making the townsfolk confused as to who to attack next? This works exceptionally well if there is a time set to deliberation. Or do you leave that person with the second most votes alive knowing that you can convince the townsfolk to kill them off next, making them do your work for you.
Can’t lie I marked out a little that you used first edition space hulk, the best version.
Also not great for beginners (and out of print) but battlestar galactica is an amazing hidden role game. Problem have some of my best gaming moments from it.
Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica
The best BSG story I ever heard was when Tyrell was the traitor, and he won by using his special "change resources around" ability to turn the last point of population into food.
@@paulgibbon5991 oh that’s epic! And now I want to play that again 😂
@@paulgibbon5991 I once as Cylon Helo used my once per game ability to make the admiral execute themselves. It was admirals choice, current player is executed or the admiral and the current player discard 3 cards. They picked the discard to not die and I made them pick the other option 😂
Since most people are self isolated on account of the pandemic, can you please make a list of Top 10 Board Games which can also be played solo (minimum player requirement of 1), thanks. Really liking the content so far here.. All the best
ironically pandemic the board game doesn't qualify for that
I love all of these but honestly Battlestar Galactica has to be my number one! We've put so so many hours into it, its a little long but I'll never not love it.
This channel would be better if they actually took an hour and play the game. Will Wheaton's Tabletop on Geek & Sundry was the best board game show.
Agree. Would really love to see them just do a long-form uncut episode of them playing one of the games they talk about.
I could see something like this happening eventually actually, seems like an easy one to pull off if they wanted to.
Agreed. Would be cool to see these guys enjoying the games.
In case you don’t already know, the BoardGameGeek CZcams channel has a regular show called Game Night! that did TableTop before TableTop ... and has a great collection of people playing. 👍
It'll happen sometime soon we hope, we're just being extra careful about people being in the same room right now :)
@@adamblampied7316 oh you know that is so true, and I apologize for my comment. Sorry to say, but this pandemic is feeling so normal I forgot about it. I hope you will know and not think less of my above stupid comment.
Coup is my absolute favourite
HIT THE SILK is certainly worth trying out.
Shadows over Camelot has a similar vibe to dead of winter that's pretty fun
Have to mention that The Resistance (Dystopian Universe) added the roles from Avalon in an expansion getting it to the same level. But I'm sure people would prefer the Arthurian theme
A special shout out for this genre that I want to do, but it's out of print so completely not for this series. If you can get your hands on the Battlestar Galactica board game, do it, it's an amazing hidden traitor game.
Should do this series again. Have some who doesn't do much, like El Fakidor, do it. He's never busy
I really love the game Sheriff of Nottingham. Don’t know if you would consider it a social deduction completely? But given your need to lie and barter to get your commodities through, I would consider it part of the genre and a great game for all ages.
It’s bluffing, not social deduction
I feel like Hail Hydra is my favorite personal deduction game.
Its good but requires at least 6 people to be any fun. Thats going to exclude a lot of people who play with 3 or 4 player groups.
I loved Resistance: Avalon
Adam's board game van🤣🤣🤣
I love these channels even though I can't remember the names of any of the games
Holy crap! I'm in this video...6:37
This has to be strange..
You are the dude in the middle with the green and black wristbands?
@@Palpi301 Why is it strange?
I would be really suprised to watch a Video just to find out im in it 😳😄
@@Palpi301 Well, I was caught off guard when Burke's Gambit was mentioned because my friend created the game. Then as I was watching more, the picture popped up and I was taken back that a random picture that was taken years ago randomly was shown. I sent the link of video to the gaming group I was part of because that picture was me and other members of the group. I actually was a beta tester.
Wow, that is awesome. I would be so excited right now 😄
Ninth! Hello Blampied :) welcome back!
It's expensive to get hold of now but the Battlestar Galactica Board game is just great. It takes cherry picking from a couple of the expansions to really get the best out of it which does add to the cost too (don't play new Caprica if you want the game to actually finish). But for a game with accusations flying around left right and center it's brilliant. It really could do with a reprint but the subject is a little out of date now so it's unfortunately not likely.
I know this kinda defeats the purpose, but Adam would you consider making a list of board games that should be converted into a video game?
So where's blood on the clocktower?
Epic list either way though!
It wasn't out when the list was made
Thank God among us isn't here
Battlestar Galactica should really make the list. A Top 10 all time game.
Agreed that game is bonkers fun if you have 3 hours to kill.
I remember once playing Resistance, putting in a fail on the first mission and convincing the other player they had put in the wrong card.
And once, after being so convincing at lying, I made someone question their friendship with me.
Man, I miss being able to play these kinds of games.
#1 is just Clue but more complex.
0:42 please say I’m not the only one who recognizes the two players
So truth be told, Social Deduction games are usually the ones I don't enjoy much at all. I can't lie. But man there's a bunch of these that I want to try now!
Deception is a one I've found worked with a player who doesn't like Resistance - You don't have to just lie, you can also find another player's cards that could also be suspect and shift the blame around, so it takes a bit more of the spotlight off
Spyfall should be called "Let's Be Mean to the Blind Person".
I really love secret hitler. It’s so intense in all aspects. Nothing is more satisfying than fooling other people like you do in that game... doesn’t exactly make me sound like a good person!!!
But I love that game.
One of my favorites as well. I have a KS named Blood on the Clocktower that will be coming soon. If you haven't checked it out, you might want to watch one of the nine play through videos that No Rolls Barred has made featuring this game. It's a blast.
I got a copy for Christmas 2019. Talk about bad timing. Played it once and it's been on the shelf ever since. Absolutely love it.
So... Where's Blood on the Clocktower?
I don't think it's out commercially yet
6:06 someone ruined a table...
Everyone knows the best social deduction is the CBBC show Trapped! I wish i was on that show I'd so win
I would TOTALLY and Inhuman Conditions to this list and I highly recommend it.
Does Coup count as a social deduction game, since you deduce players cards instead of their roles? Or ist that one and the same?
It does, but it's not that good
Among us is one of the kings of social deduction games
Honestly watching videos of among us is what got me into social deduction board games
Cant find burke's gambit anywhere :(
Bang The Walking Dead- best of all the Bang games
10:10 @FlorentinWill du auch hier? :D
Haha :D
Honestly thought it was Adam at the start. 😬
it was...
Who did you think it was if not Adam??
I was hoping coup rebellion would be on here. It's so different from other social production games cause it's That there is an evil team that is lying and a good team that isn't but instdad everyone is a b****** and the social reduction part comes. Not in figuring out who was lying but figuring out when someone is lying or figuring out what. Web of lies and sometimes what truths to use in order to get your influence and the money and power You need to win. I i love it because it's a social deduction game for people who really like being on the evil team every time which is me. I absolutely love being the 4th person to claim a roll despite knowing. There? Are only 3 rolls? In a deck because I. Could? Still be telling the. Truth and one of those assholes could be lying you don't know And are you gonna call me on it because it's very risky if you do. The thrill of getting away with a lie are bluffing someone into calling you on something you actually are is so fun.
i doubt anyone will read this but BANG! card game is a really good game.
Criminy...I thought the title read "SOCIAL SEDUCTION"...
Marcus...Blame Marcus.
do you have a collection of best games for 8+ people? because thats how many people there are around my age at christmas, and the only thing i can think of is Cards against humanity
Plz start making wrestling videos again, Adam. I have been a big fan of yours since those Invasion part 1&2 videos.
He still does he makes the monthly booking videos and the weekly lists
He works for Wrestletalk. Can see his content there and on their other channels.
How did CHAMELEON not make this list??
Blood on the clock tower
STOP COSTING ME MONEY!!!!
No
Avalon is better than secret hitler because you don't get eliminated and have to wait for the next game.
i always find in social deduction games if there is no logical way to eliminate people the autistic of the group (me) is always the first to be eliminated because i will do something autistic which most people mistake for one of the "ways to tell people are lying". its to the point where if i play warewolf i will just say im the warewolf to get the dying over and done with
Dead of winter is the best board game. Change my mind
No love for Bang the Dice Game? Disappointed :(
Woah, Mafia only gets a slight mention. I am sad
How is guess who not on this list?🤣🤣🤣
If your not a fan, Adam MAKES you a fan. I never liked fantasy booking. Hmm, I do now. I blame you Adam lol. Have an idea. I board game version of Quizzlemania ?
What about Betrayal :(
Space Hulk is not from the Alien franchise...its Warhammer 40k
Bro, why isn't Secret Hitler on here? Legitimately better than all the other deception games made.
No shout-out for Secret Hitler!
Booooo SECRET HITLER SHOULD BE HERE
Top 10 list of social deduction games and you choose Avalon over Secret Hitler? You need to go check your head because i think you might have a concussion.
what if you're fascinated by these games but have never played them before, and want to learn to play them but you're autistic so it's difficult interacting with new people (or the people at the nearest game store aren't receptive to newcomers)?
Spyfall is not a good game. At all.
