Other videos show you have to remove the grill to replace the headlight. The video did not show you removing the mounting bracket but it appears you did so, is that correct?
@@tanyah2524 yeah I'm sitting here with a pair trying to figure out how to get the plate off the new ones w o busting something....thanks for nada 1A auto
But, there is an adjustment screw to adjust the headlight beam in or out. No one talks about that. Do you have any ideas about how that needs to be set?
So do you need to remove the grill to install or not? Your video show that grille removal is not required but every other video on youtube shows that you do need to remove the grille?
The studs on mine just spin in the headlight housing and a metal cutting blade from an oscillating tool doesn't reach in far enough to cut them. And ideas?
Thanks for this other '96 Sierra vid' . I was hoping that just removing the headlight component, via from above the long-shanked screws and leaving the original mounting bracket as-is would not have to re-aim the OE style headlights, but since the aiming screws are within the replacement HL component, not the 'frame' mounting bracket, best to set-up for adjustment process ! :-l Since the chances of the new replacement being the same are pretty slim, 1% eh !? 🙂
Mike or anybody at A1Auto ok does anyone know how I can get the stripped bolts out of my GMC 1999 c2500 headlights bracket? So I can change a burn out Bulb !! Please give me and idea some one
Can you help me find bulbs for the little tiny lights to the left and right of the turn signals? The little side marker lights? I can't find any info anywhere and the guy at AutoZone said they couldn't figure out what I meant.
+Lendercl You may need to use some force to get it out but be careful as you do not want to damage the wiring harnesses. You may also want to see if there are any other videos that someone posted with the same issue as you are having ans see how they did this.
You totally skipped some steps. The headlight part you first showed is different than what you installed and you only adjusted beam height not l/r angle.
pulling my hair out!! i have a 1993 and the side marker lights are a single solid piece.. EVERY kit and replacement lights i find have two separate pieces for the side marker lights. They claim 1990-1998 compatibility for these kits, but obviously don't fit a 1993.

You definitely don't need to take the grill off. I did mine with the grill on.
Good Question!!
