#BlackSabbath #SabbathSound #InStudio - Hudba
Iommi never runs out of riffs
Respect to black Sabbath but dam cutting out bill of all the pictures dam he was the back bone of black Sabbath sound
It was his choice not to come back. That's why he's not in all these interviews. Bill left the page a loooong time ago
Jesus Frias wrong. Toni, n geezer carried the troop, yes bill to, n oz. it was all. bill isn't well enough to keep with it. but he had his time. even a minute in that realm is a lotto win to most.
Jesus Frias why they cut bill off?
They didn't cut him off because they were trying to, contrary to what some shit heads are saying here. Tony was dealing with chem, and radiation therapy, and didn't step in when he probably would have if he hadn't been compromised by his weakened condition. But, in a nutshell, the legal wrangling over how much Bill was offered was left up to lawyers. Hindsight sucks, but none of them should leave these kind of relationship matters up to anybody else but themselves. And yes, the album '13' is great!!. So fuck anyone who thinks otherwise!.
If they wanted the original sound... where the hell was Bill Ward?
A band is only as good as the rhythm section. Bill and Geezer are unmatched as a unit. Bill Ward is a powerful force. He hit the skins with his heart. You don't hear it but you feel it.
Without Tony Iommi, there IS NO Black Sabbath. Period.
@@ferox965 With out question.
I guess that Bill didn't even exist right?.... It seems soooo fake, when they cut him out of the pictures. And what pissed me off the most was Brad Wilk, when he said "those 3 guys were making baddass music..."
Zead In Da House They are complete wankers mate after what they did to Bill. I didn't give a shit about this album, it was rubbish anyway.
+Paniak B. You are rubbish!!!
HEAR, HEAR!!!!!!
He actually said:"these 3 guys in their 60s ARE making more badass music ..........". Don't get me wrong now, Black Sabbath in the 70s is still my favorite band ever, without Bill it doesn't really sound the same, I agree. I mean, it is quite a big thing if even I can appreciate a certain sound of drums more than another one, being a guitar player
no Bill, no Sabbath
As a lifetime fan of Black Sabbath, it will be a devastating loss to the music industry when these guys finally pass...
BLACK SABBATH FOREVER!
There's no Black Sabbath without Bill fucken Ward
Dingo Johnson by that logic you are saying every album they made after Ozzy left is also not Black Sabbath, most of those albums Bill wasn't a part of either
There was a Black Sabbath without Bill Ward. There was a Black Sabbath without Ozzy. There was a Black Sabbath without Geezer. There isn't a Black Sabbath without Tony Iommi. No Iommi=No Sabbath.
I guess he means the original sound. And a reunion is not a reunion without someone important.
Every musician is important and for sure the sound changed. But avoiding ronnie for exemple of history, as in another case, queen without John deacon, is not the same band.
@@ferox965 I didn't like sabbath without ozzy. But you are right about Toni
@@shoeplayisbad1 Fair enough. Sabbath does not exist without Iommi.
Fucking love that they put Megalomania in here, it's one of their greatest & most underrated songs.
Most definitely!!!
Megalomania is one of the best songs EVER!!!!
Wow this slaps. I didn’t discover all of sabotage yet
actually, sabotage entirely is a underated and amazing album, the thrill of it all, the writ and magalomania is freaking delicious
People can talk all the shit they want when it came down to the whole situation with this album and their last tour, but this album is phenomenal and I think Brad Wilk was a great fill-in on this piece.
they are the masters, grew up with sabbath..i am 55 and still love that sound. a three piece band has that unique sound!!! long live Black Sabbath
I love the hard rock/heavy metal of the 60s and 70s. It's so original and cut and dry than today's stuff.
Yeah, so Bill Ward is missing now..... He didn't sign on for the reunion..... Gotta respect his/their wishes BUT without Bill, the bottom end doesn't swing like it did back the 70's..........Sabbath sounds different....not better or worse, just different.... Rubin did a good job at trying to capture the olden-days-vibe but without Mr. Ward, it wasn't gonna happen no matter what.......Best record of the year though....EASILY!!!
Apparently he didn't sign on because he wasn't presented with what I'm assuming to be fair compensation for his part in the lineup in his contract. Either he's a douche and asking for a vast cut or the other three are screwing him by giving him unfair compensation.
I gotta say I loved the bass tone on this album
I heard Sharon kicked him out
It started with Sharon, but none of the guys stood up for Bill.Obviously, paying Brad Wilk as a session player would mean more money in their pockets than paying Bill a near equal cut.I would have loved to hear Bill play those songs, because it would have made a difference.
his/their?
01:49 That guitar 'tone' ! Perfect.....
What is this track? Can't recognize
""I don't think jazz I don't think blues I just think what I do you know"" GOOOODD
This is a very important topic on Sabbath. Even when i was a kid in the seventies i knew Sabbath's sound was ORIGINAL and UNIQUE amongst all the normalised overdrives, fuzzes and distortions.( apart from tuning down which was totally original at the time )
Ozzy really seems cleaned up here. This is probably the most literate interview I've seen him in in decades
The riff at 2:25 is so badass! Heavy as hell!
One of the best Rock n Roll bands ever! The best in concert (for me) personally.
People are still on with this? It was Bill's decision to have himself taken out of all those pictures. Seriously, this was common knowledge like a year ago.
Any knowledge why Bill didn't want to be included?
I just cannot wait to hear this.
GEEZER YOU ARE ONE LUCKY SOB,PLAY BASS WITH ONE OF THE GREATEST LEAD GUITARISTS ON EARTH,AND DEFINITELY THE GREATEST DRUMMERS PERIOD,RESPECT
Looking forward to seeing you in december and i am soooo excited for the new album!! :)
Thanks man!
"Megalomania" from the album "Sabotage".
AWESOME song!!! One of my favorite Sabbath tunes! STING ME!!!!
I'm so excited wow
i really look forward to this album... i think it's gonna be great
Bill was such a huge part of their sound. How could they do this without him?
Bill's contract was unsignable,Sharon was at it again
@@pererlingjohansen6597 I know. Terrible. Long live Bill Ward!!!
@@jmgmarcus808 Yes long live Bill and fuck Sharon 🤘
Saw them in the Fillmore East in the late 80 s .Great a wall of Marshall amp great show
i just love them!
Shame about Bill and yes he was/is instrumental to the whole sound of Sabbath. I guess they could not work out the contracts and money deal.....shame that it got to that point and they forgot they used to be friends at one time that just loved playing music together.
..and I guess the came up with this
bs clickbait title for the same reason.
Great sound !
PERFECT...
legends
What Brad said:-
"these three guys who are in their 60's are making heavier and more bad-assed music than most are in their 30's."
Take note, boy bands.
Trying to capture the early Sabbath sound without Bill...
Well sorry, but you're only going to get 75%...
i love sabbath all mi life...strong music for strong people...
the inventers and good fathers of metal
That which Black Sabbath do is a lost art 🎶🔥✌
And they played with him.. what an honour for them!
Bill Ward is god of the melodic drum and important part of sabbath
yes
I can't believe Brad Wilk recorded for Sabbath, so awesome.
The treble boost pedal that Tony used with his Laney amp on the original Black Sabbath album helped to create an awesome sound! "A Bit of Finger / Sleeping Village / Warning" is Hard Rock SG Riffing that ONLY TONY can perform. That whole track is bad-ass to the 13th power! It would be cool if Tony would bring back that kind of sound for a future song. Not that I'm complaining at all about what he did on this new album. It would be nice to hear that kind of tone make an appearance again.
Good music is timeless. 🤘
im sad that what they do is a lost art. they are the epitome of rock and metal
It’s not. Me and my buddy talked about metal and mostly sabbath for an hour at the bar. Both 25 years old
There are TONS of bands doing very similar stuff to them.
Man I can't even begin to fathem the great hits they would have put out if ozzy was never fired..but even still black Sabbath didn't pack up and go home they strived just like ozzy did..by finding the right vocalist or musician ect..with or without ozzy I still love black Sabbath and always will thanks to everyone in black Sabbath for coming forth with that deeeeeepppppp and dark vibrations that us so called punk rockers that thought we have heard it all (musicaly) until y'all came forth and but out hits that go's past the flesh into the soul..thanks again ozzy and every one in black Sabbath rest in peace ronnie James dio with was fantastic with the group that heaven and hell song was amazing I love watching the live version of it a lot and wishing I had just half of y'alls talent it wouldn't help me though with the stage fright 1000 people looking at me I would probably half to pull a first on stage "Jim Morrison" of the doors on the crowd of people and sing with my back to them 😆
nice video. always dig the sabbath tone.
only 2 days left till they release the studio version of "end of the beginning".
can't wait!
Geezer said it! Hard rock!
Cant wait
Sou fã do black sabbath.
Just saw Sabbath on CSI...every bit as awesome as I thought they'd be.
\m/
New song.. Sounds SICK.
Their last album sounds truly like the very first album, meaning that they're live up to their sucess to that one. Which is cool.
As good an album as could be made, as Ozzy says, & not follow "Never Say Die". Killer riffs, lyrically relevant, great melodies (even though we now know Ozzy was drinking a bit during process), no more could have been expected from these guys. They delivered. imo Well into their 60's with Tony's illness, Bill's decision or non-decision + other issues, it could've been a travesty. It wasn't THAT, 4 DAMNED sure. Saludos to the Originators. Ain't but One Band from Birmingham that has this sound. No one can fill their shoes, even 3/4th of them. Although many have & continue to try. Happy that I got to see them in their heyday in the 70's. Great time to grow up. Thanks.......
@2:57 the heavey metal think tank at work 🤘🤘💀☠☠
See you in Vancouver!
Ozzy is great, I love Black Sabbath!! Respect from Russia! \m/
Germany (Berlin) is waiting for you, guys!!! \m/
Aug 12th can't come fast enough! SABBATH BOSTON
deep knowledge about occultism..on the black sabbath lyrics...I think the big brain is Mr.Geezer...and is one of the best bass players in this planet...
Waiting october in Colombia!!
Bought my tickets for August 8th at the Comcast!! :)
Nice!!!! the early days were the best!!
Anxious to see them in Brazil \o/
Sounds gooood ...
these dudes in their 60's now are making more badass music than some major artist in their 30's. - Brad Wilk (drummer)
i fucking love Black Sabbath
YAY
Well, all is very promising. Can't wait till the 10th of june....
The album is great
The coven is broken. The magic is gone.
Yes... After Ward, Powell, Appice.... you got THAT! Another sab album with him and i will cut my veins....
A BLACK SABBATH movie is a great idea, SABBATH story, heavy metal history!!
SABBATH!!
bill is a man who if he has to do something he gives everything..and with him knowing he cant leave it all out there on stage he didnt do the end tour...just another bill ward comment
2:51 so epic!! The way Ozz crosses his arms is like "There. I just said it. Fuck off."
i havent realised, seems like a wonderful place
Consider the fact that Sabbath's first 2 albums came out whilst the Beatles were still together, and you get an idea of how ahead of their time the band was.
I like that old Sabbath sound
Behold, the gods are back in business!!
Yeah!
Take note from Zeppelin, no drummer NO BAND, when Bonzo died they broke up, Bill is an amazing drummer as well and should not be cut out of pictures!
It's the middle part of Megalomania from Sabotage. Excellent song!
Black Sabbath \m/
As other Black Sabbath fans have pointed out here, it is well out-of-order to leave photos with Bill Ward out of this clip. Bill was 25% of the Sabbath sound!
Sabbath...power..gd line up..band
Bill was physicly unable to rejoin the band. Unfortunately he was out of condition to play a 2 hour gig. I feel very sorry for Bill, cause i think he really would have wanted to do this if he was able to...
But let's all support Black Sabbath! i Think it's amazing that these old fellows can still rock this shit.. Black Sabbath forever
just sweeet
You needs to know, Tony always like to dropped the pitch of string from standard tune down to 1 and half note. For create the more awesome sound with distortion in some album. Such as Master of reality, Vol.4, Sabbath bloody Sabbath album and more, and in live concert. You've listened and feel it's good. So, because of this, it's a real Sabbath Sound more than play with standard tune. That's an old Sabbath. And those album, it's always the most people's all times favorite.
Siri Shinobi Tony drop tuned out of necessity. After having to play using his recently installed home made fingertips, he realized the lighter gauge strings he was using (in standard E) didn't provide enough relief as down tuning a full step/step and a half would. Beginning with 'Master of Reality', as you mentioned, the darker sound of Black Sabbath was created and the rest, as they say, is history.
1 minute of silence for Rick's beard
bahahahaha!
His beard was awful. Ive never seen someone worth so much money look so poor
Hey that blues song after paranoid is that another version of warning cos i got the first sabbath album and the track warning plays that song
I miss Bill, but this sounds amazing
Oh, great seeing Brad Wilk working with Sabbath.
Thanks man. And 1991HATEFA pretty much sums it up too. hahaha! I should not get my hackles up but I have seen so many comments this last year dissing Sabbath about Bill that it's infuriating. And funny thing is , Bill and Sabbath don't even do that to each other. Bill is one of the greatest rock drummers ever and a big big part of the original Sab sound. But even 15 years ago he was having trouble and Sabs just don't want to say it in public. It's obvious to anyone who has paid attention.
2:00 Wow. Great view from the window. I wonder where that is.
Yea you really tried to get back to the sound, with all that compression and shit right?
I love ricks hair
0:53 to 1:25 ... awesome! only 4 more weeks!
Even though Bill Ward isn't on this album it still sounds like the classic Sabbath
All I can say is
Hell Yea
Whatever, with they did not happen, all the same, they are the gods of heavy metal, and in this capacity will be forever.
