Unfortunately none of your hints worked for me , I've seen this before on another iPhone so maybe is a hardware issue, it does pick up but almost nothing with lots of noise

MrBecker666 Bro, If nothing is working, then it can be a hardware issue, you need to repair it.😊

      I have exactly this!!!
If I speak _really_ loud, I can baaaarely hear myself on the recording. So allegedly the mic is alive, it is picking up the sound, I cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol and toothbrush, that leads me to a conclusion it is a software issue.
What did you end up doing?

    • @MrBecker666

@@kilovolt2494 since it was an old iPhone I just use the other mic(speaker phone icon) although the part is cheap changing it a bit messy didn’t feel like swapping it

So _it_ _is_ a hardware issue, as you concluded? At this point, I am not sure what caused it, I cleaned it, updated software, rebooted it a 100 times - useless. My other friend had the same issue on a newer iPhone, he ended up just buying a new one.
I don't want to waste another $1000 on a phone right now, but if it is a hardware issue, I will never buy an iPhone nor anything Apple again.
