- We are proud to present an automotive treasure with an unparalleled provenance. This 1949 Buick Roadmaster Cab 76C Convertible boasts a well-documented history that reads like a novel of American automotive legacy.
Provenance:
Originally sold to the discerning Archie D. Houge in North Carolina, USA, on July 8, 1949, this Buick Roadmaster embarked on a journey spanning over six decades under the same devoted ownership. It wasn't until 2009, upon Mr. Houge's passing, that the car transitioned to the next chapter of its story, remaining within the family for two more years. Its remarkable legacy then took it across the Atlantic to a distinguished museum in England. From there, it found its way to Sweden before landing in the hands of its current Danish owner.

That car is a dream. Buick has always been a champion. Namely the Roadmaster.❤❤
Absolutely stunning no question, love early buicks, wish I could own one 😊❤
What a beauty!!! I remember these old cars as a kid. The crap they build today is nothing but garbage ugly!
What a coincidence, I haven't seen a Roadmaster Convertible in YEARS until today. 9/19/23 in Warrenton Va a BEAUTIFUL gray convertible drove up Broadview Ave at around 2 pm. 4 portholes, Dynaflow badge, top down. A rolling work of art. 3 hours later I turn on CZcams and ... destiny!
A beauty!
Pretty car
Beautiful car. I wish the video had shown the straight 8 engine as well.
Lovely colour!
Gorgeous Vehicle ❤ It
My first car, 49 Roadmaster Sedanette
AKA torpedo, or Fastback.
My first car at sixteen was a 1949 Roadmaster with Dynaflow. It looked great - no rust or dents - but it needed a lot of TLC. I couldn't drive it on the expressway but it was great for dates and beach trips. I felt like a king driving that old Buick - good times!
I bet its comfy
Did I see power windows buttons, in 1949, the year when I was born?
They are the hydaulic type - silent like in a Mercedes 600 Grosser.
New to me, if hydraulic do they only operate with the engine running to provide pressure, and I see 8 port holes, was this a V8, and I wonder the CID and horses it puts out, @@alanblanes2876
The 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertibles exactly like the one shown here had powered( hydraulic) tops windows & seats as STANDARD!!!🤗👍
Very good that GM was equipping these cars so well. @@keithdukes5990
