This is my transcription of Emily Remler soloing over "Joy Spring." Emily Remler was an amazing guitarist, who unfortunately was left us way too soon (she passed away in 1990 at only 32 years of age). Remler got into jazz during her time at Berklee, finding inspiration in guitar troubadours such as Pat Martino, Wes Montgomery, and Charlie Christian. In this clip, her Pat Martino influence is palpable.
