Sorry I talk a million miles an hour in this video! I get very excited when it comes to liposomal C ;)
To make your own liposomal c, you need:
176 g vitamin c powder

100 g/ml vodka
550 g/ml distilled water
Here is the vitamin c powder I use

Hi Gorgeous Claudia, You are simply amazing making this in your kitchen! We are all so fortunate to have you as our wellness guru. I had no idea that liposomal vitamin C had so many health benefits including helping asthma. How wonderful that you feel better and without medication. xo
Hello beautiful Christine, as always, your comment put a big smile on my face!
Yes, vitamin c is quite amazing, internally and externally. And the liposomal form just makes it easier to be absorbed and give greater bioavailability.
If you end up making some, def. let me know how it went

Just finished my first batch. I’ve been buying this pre-made and even after investing in the ultrasonic machine, this should pay for itself by the third batch. Thank you so much for all your helpful information. PS This recipe doesn’t taste as bad as the one I’ve been buying.
Hi Angela, it is lovely to hear from you! I am no so happy to hear you are making your own. Yes, I agree, even with buying the ultrasonic machine, it will pay fir itself on just a few batches.
I am happy to hear this one tastes better than the store bought one.

I forgot to mention that I put my liposomal c in a hit of orange juice. It really helps disguise the taste :). It does however not interfere with absorption.
I take it on the morning, after breakfast, but you can take it any time throughout the day.
As I mentioned, I take 3 tbsp, which comes out to about 5 g of vitamin c
In the study mentioned on liposomal C, participants took 3 sachets. I am assuming one sachet is 1 mg
So good to know. Have a most wonderful weekend! xo

It’s amazing the amount of people I’ve come across in my work getting scurvy in this day and age....the culprit is they are eating the “keto diet” now of course you can put your body in ketosis and still get fruits and vegetables in enough amounts to prevent scurvy but so many people are doing this inappropriately and it’s almost unbelievable how hard it is to get scurvy it’s mind boggling....as usual a little education goes a long way....WFPB!!!!🌱💪🌎❤️
Awesome video Claudia people who have asthma usually think it is all about their pulmonary system but it’s systemic like every other inflammatory disease....have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Hello Claudia
Merci XXX💕

Thanks for the video Claudia. I just made your recipe for the first time without the ultrasonic machine. I used your same product with a blender 3 times for 10min increments. I hope it is sufficient and to notice results.
Hi Alison, it is nice to hear from you! I think it will be good. I used to buy a DIY liposomal c from a company, it was quite expensive, but was not even blended in the blender, just shook up. I am not sure how liposomal it ended up being, but I actually did notice some benefits from it. Yours will be sufficient. The heat of the blender helps encapsulate the vitamin c into the lecithin. Please keep me updated and have a wonderful weekend.

What's your experience?
I am LOVING the ROOSTER crowing in the background Claudia!!!✌❤👍😘 Thank you for the recipe for liposomal Vit C!!! I take 1600mg in capsule form of Liposomal Vit C everyday..... Is that enough? Too little???

Hi Denise, it is lovely to hear from you. Thank you for the kind comment.
That's Rudi, our neighbours rooster. He seems to know exactly when I am sitting down to film and wants to chime in.
I think 1600mg is a good amount of liposomal c. Personally I take about 5000mg, but I take it for my asthma. My husband takes a similar amount to you.
I am however always a bit doubtful of liposomal c in capsules, but if you feel it is working, then it is probably a great product.
If you end up making this one, let me know how it turned out.

I have just ordered an ultrasonic machine, lecithin and the powdered C - excited to begin making it!
Hi. Thank you so much for sharing this. I bought the sachets a few months ago and thought they must be having a positive effect but they are quite 🤑 so I’ve had to choose between them and other tweakments. I’ll now be trying this out ☺️
I’ll invest in the ultrasonic machine but in the meantime how many times do you think it needs go into the blender for best encapsulation? PS I think I’ve found a UK supplier for the bio re-peel 🤞🏻
Hi Carla, lovely to hear from you❤️
Yes, I have tried the sachets as well, and they do not taste good 😛
However, sadly this stuff does not taste any better. I just put some in a bit of orange juice and yuck it down.
I would say blend it at least three times, 4 to 5 if you can, always putting it back in the fridge in between. When blending it, let your blender get a bit warm, for the encapsulation to happen. I hope this helps, let me know how it works out.
I am glad you found a source for the peel! Please keep us wand let us know who the company is, and how your experience with them is

Thank you so much! Does it keep that long? I heard that is only good for about a week?could you please share your references for the storing time.
Hi Martina
I keep mine in the fridge, and it keeps for quite a while
The alcohol in it does not just work as an emulsifier, but also preservative.
While I do use line up in about 5 weeks or so, since I use quite a bit, it will be good for at least a couple of months
I hope this helps
xx
Hi Claudia, great recipe! Thank you for sharing! Can you do liposomal glutathione in the same way?
Hi Valentina, great to hear from you and thank you for the kind words. Yes, you can make liposomal glutathione the same way. What I have done before is add a bit of glutathione to the C. So I would use maybe 50 g of glutathione powder, and deduct that amount from the vitamin c powder, so only use 126g, but leave everything else the same.
Or, you could make both separately. I hope this helps. If you make it, please keep me posted
Have a great day
xo
Vslentina, normally it is 176 g of vitamin c
But if you wanted to add the glutathione, I would add 50 g, if glutathione
So only 126 g of vitamin C and 50 g glutathione, to make the 176g
@@claudiaglows Sorry, Claudia, I should look at the recipe first before asking you questions. I realized when I looked at it, but thank you for answering. So interesting love your recipe compared to the others that use tons of alcohol! I was wondering if there a way to make this portable for travel? Also when you make it, would it be ok to freeze for a short while to bring the temperature down and then blend again instead of refrigerating to speed up the process? I read someone was blending for a minute and freezing for 2, to keep the temperature down, for a cumulative of 6 min of blending.
I have not played around with freezing it, but it would be a worthwhile experiment. If you end up trying it, please keep us posted
As far as travel, I take mine with me and put it in the hotel fridge as soon as we arrive. You could bring a little cooler and keep it in that for a few days as well.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend

Hello Claudia. Another very helpful video. Excuse my silly question, but, what exactly is the purpose of the ultrasonic machine? just to boil something? 🤔🥰
Hi Sonja, not a silly question at all. The ultrasonic machine helps the liposomes to become smaller and to encapsulate the vitamin c better. It is not absolutely necessary, just blending and the heat of blending does some of this, but the ultrasonic machine adds more umpf so to say ;)
I hope this makes senes

Hi, could i substitute organic camu camu powder instead of ascorbic acid? I read its more bio available.
Hi my sweet Claudia! I love all your liposomal vitamin C videos! I have to get the ingredients and start making my own (lazy me...) 🤦🏻♀️. I try to eat a lot of fruit and vegetables every day but I am sure I am still short on vitamin C and after hearing you speak again about all the great things it does for us I am like “what are you waiting for, Sara???”. Do you have to mix the three tablespoons of vitamin C with a drink or can you take them directly? I don’t know if it affects the absorption in any way. Thank you so much and have an amazing weekend! 🤗
Hello beautiful Sara❤️
I know you eat a healthy diet, so you probably get plenty of C. But, if you want to make this, it is easy and takes hardly any time.
Yes, I put my 3 tbsp in a bit of orange juice, to hide the taste. It does not affect absorption, since it is encapsulated. Let me know if you need help making it.
I hope you will have an amazing weekend

I made this years ago,i never use vodka, i learned from other people making this, these are e new people.
May I ask what you used instead of alcohol?
Gruetzi Claudia,
Thanks for this very informative video.
Hope you will read my message and answer it. Thank you in advance.
My questions:
If I do not add the alcohol, would the total amount of liquid be: 550 ml or 650 ml? Should the 100 ml of alcohol be replaced by 100 ml of water?
What kind of ultrasonic cleaner are you using? (label, etc.).
I did not find the link...
Last, I've been told that the tank should not be filled to its maximum capacity, but only up to 2/3 - and that the mixture in the glass should not exceed the level of water in the tank.
What is your advice on these 2 points?
Thanks a ton!
Hi Maria, it is lovely to hear from you. Yes, if you would leave the alcohol away, it would then be 650 mL of water. However, in my opinion the alcohol is quite necessary, since it is an emulsifier. Just using water it’s not really going to work, so you would have to find a different emulsifier. However, I have done quite a bit of research on finding a different emulsifier, and have not been able to find anything
So, unless you have a problem with alcohol, I would say it is definitely need it. The percentage is quite low, only 4%, versus in most store-bought brands it is 12%.
I thought I linked the ultrasonic machine in the description box, please check again, and I will as well. If it’s not there I will link it right now.
I have a she not food of not filling the ultrasonic machine to capacity, so unfortunately I don’t have an opinion on that. I feel mine are pretty full, and don’t worry about it.
I hope this helps, please keep me posted if you end up making this. Wishing you a wonderful day

Hi Thank you Claudia. Could you tell me if the 3 tbs spoons is 5g per day or 5g per tbs?
Hi, 3 tbs is about 5 g.
Still at the earlier part but am enjoying the video. However, I must point out that the ultrasonic cleaner recommended bellow isn’t right for liposome making. This is bc it’s rectangular as opposed to a square. The latter facilitates equal distribution which is the one to do the job. Hope that helps and thanks for the informative video!
thank you
What do you do to prevent oxidation since ascorbic acid is air and light sensitive? Your mixture looks considerably darker when you finished as it did when you started.
Hi, there might be slight oxidation, just from it coming in contact with air and light, but for the most part, other than when making it in the ultasonic machine, the mixture is in the fridge. Once done, I store it in the fridge. I do see some oxidation around the bottle cap, after it has been opened and closed numerous times, but the mixture itself does not seem to oxidise further and stays a consistent color. I hope this helps

Hi Claudia. I did my first batch today and followed your instructions. Have not gotten an ultrasonic cleaner yet but stuck to blending the mixture a couple of times. It is thick but there are some bubbles, is this normal?
Hi Alfred
Yes, bubbles are normal. I usually take a spoon and take the bubbles off the top. It sounds like your mixture is working out really well, even without the ultrasonic machine.
Hi Claudia,
Thanks for your wealth of information. I appreciate all of your knowledge and videos.
I have been making Liposomal Vitamin C for about a year using 12% alcohol. The kids won’t take it anymore as it upsets there tummy. I was given it to them on an empty stomach. The taste is horrible.
I was wondering how you came up with 4% alcohol in your recipe?
Also your recipe is it your modified recipe?
Have you anyway of knowing that it is a high quality liposomal Vitamin C.
Thanking you in advance for any information you out can give.
Hi Thomas, thank you for your lovely comment. I was making mine with 12% as well and just found it way too much. So I slowly used less and less until I got to the 4%. So yes, it is a modified recipes, but it works well.
If you end up trying it, please let me know how it works out
xx
Thanks Claudia for replying.
I am going to try your recipe today and feel 12% is too much.
Thanks Sincerely
Also, could we add other ingredients such as acacia gum and Kakadu plum to thicken the product, and if yes, at what point would you add these?
Hi, you probably could add those ingredients, but it would make the concussion less potent, since you would have to add more liquid to be able to get everything dissolved. The mix usually turns out quite thick on its own though
Hello Claudia! I've been making Liposomal C for awhile now and use the same process as you. But I was wondering where you got your measurements? The ones I use are different but the exact same process. Not many others go through all the steps that we do. Anyway, off to blend mine right now. Oh, I was also wondering about the woman that said about needing to balance the Omega 6 with Omega 3. What do you suggest for that? It is something that I did not know but am about to research. Thanks!
Hi, glad to hear you are also making your own liposomal c. I found a similar recipe a long time ago and then adjusted the measurements to work well for me. As far as Omega 6 and 3, it is def. important to find some balance. Most of us eat way too many Omega 6's and not enough Omega 3's. To add Omega 3 to this might work some, but I think it is more important to take a look at our diet and find a better balance there

One more question, how long does your ultra sonic machine last for?.
Mine got burned out after 8 months.
Thanks so much for your help in putting these videos together.
wow, that is a bummer. I have had mine for at least 5 years and I use it quite a bit
Hi any advice. I have an ultrasonic that has a 500ml beaker (Im going to order the larger beaker but until then) that they use to make lipo vitamins, it will only hold up to 600 g of liquid. Can I take 50 grams less vodka or water? Or will it mess it up? Which should I use less of? vodka or the water? Also the company I purchased from says to do it for 30 minutes, you do yours for an hour and a half? Should it be that long as well?
Hi, I would cut the whole recipe in half, not just one ingredient
So until you get your new beeper, use half of each ingredient, to make half the mixture
I think doing it longer gives better results, which is why I do 11/2 hours.
I hope this helps
Please keep me posted and have a great week

Hey thank u so much for the video. So beautiful u r! Just had a quick question. I ordered the sodium ascorbate vitamin c but then realized I don't want to consume so much sodium as im trying to take the really high doses of vitamin c for food allergy symptoms. Can I mix sodium ascorbate and ascorbate acid with the recipe u used instead of just using the sodium ascorbate alone? Just to not have as much sodium and alot of acidity as I'd get with using ascorbic acid alone?
Hi, thank you for your kind comment. Yes, you can absolutely mix the different forms of vitamin c. Please let me know how your mixture turns out and if you notice any difference from taking it
Wishing you a great week
xx
I'll definitely let u know. And thanks for ur response. Have a great day☺
Hi Claudia, thanks for your informative research and technics. Is there a way to test the potency and efficacy of the concoction ?
Also any updates to newer or alternative better models for the ultrasonic machine and ingredients? :)
Hi Frankie, thank you for being here. No come unfortunately I don’t know if a way to test this as far as potency and efficacy.
Having just recently moved back to the United States, I actually do have to look for an ultrasonic machine, so I will keep you posted
Hi,
Is it necessary to the do the 3 rounds of frig/blender? Wondering if u can just mix it once ( the lecithin & the vitamin C, water, alcohol mixture). Why do you need to keep blending before it goes to the us machine? Then start the 1.5 hours of ultrasound machine.
Also, I notice the glass beaker is only half submerged in the water in the us machine. Will the top half of the blended mixture still get encapsulated if it is above the water line?
HI, the blending/frig rounds help with the emulsification and encapsulation, so the more you do, the better.
The beaker sticking out of the machine might make the top a bit less encapsulated, but so far I have not had any problems. But you could get a bigger ultrasonic machine, or smaller beaker just to be on the safe side.
I hope this helps, please keep me posted
I enjoyed your video on making liposomal c and am interested in trying it out as the cost over the counter for liposomal vitamin c is expensive.
I was gifted an ultrasonic cleaner for Christmas, but I am not sure it has a temperature control range as it only states its timer settings.
Would this be a problem?
Hi Nicholas, thank you for being here. If your ultrasonic machine does not have a temperature gage, I would get a thermometer and check the temperature of the mix every once in a while to make sure it does not get to hot. If it does, take the beaker out and put it in the fridge for a bit, to cool down, then put it back in the machine. Please keep me posted

Hi Claudia, I think my liposoma touched the machine because it is almos 3/4 of bubbles and 1/4 of dark liquid, it is ok to take it like this? I mean eat de bubbles?
Hi
I would scoop the bubbles off the top and use the rest
I usually have a but if bubbles as well, but not that much. And I always scoop it off the top and then bottle the rest

Many things are difficult to dissolve in alcohol - is it possible to dissolve the vitamin c first and then add the alcohol?
Hi, sure you can do that. However, the vitamin C dissolves quite easily even with the alcohol added. Please keep me updated, on how your concussion turns out. Wishing you a wonderful day
Is the final step (using ultrasound) totally necessary? Does it make the mixture lipsomal, or doesn’t it make it more concentrated (by taking out the bubbles)?
Hi Stephen, you can get a somewhat liposomal formula without the Ultrasound but the ultrasound reduces the particle size for even better absorption
Thanks for recepie, it's quite different from what I saw til now. Question from new begginer: if you feel taste of ascorbic acid it means it's not incapsulated?
Hi Rasa, lovely to hear from you.
Yes, if you taste the sourness of the ascorbic acid, it is not encapsulated well. You want to taste the lecithin.
Have you tried to make it and it tastes sour?
I taste the sodium, a salty flavor. But I don't taste the sour.
Love this video. I just ordered some liposomal vit c from livon labs, but gosh is it expensive. I want to make my own. This is a stupid question, but I am trying to use what I have and I only have vanilla vodka. Would it be ok to use that in the recipe? Would it change the efficacy?
iHi Erin, it is nice to hear from you! Thank you for your sweet comment! You know, that is a good question. I would say if it is about 40% alcohol content, it should not make a difference. It should still emulsify. Give It a try and let me know how it worked

Hi beautiful Claudia! I made this and the glutathione the other day. Thanks so much for the recipes. I used the NOW brand Sodium Ascorbate. Is it supposed to be really salty? I know it's called Sodium Ascorbate but didn't think it would be this salty.
Hi Melissa, so usually when you can taste the vitamin c (which is normally sour, but might be a bit salty) it is supposed to mean that you did not get a good encapsulation. Really what you should be tasting is the lecithin, which also does not taste good, but I would not say it is salty.
What lecithin did you use? How long did you mix everything? And for how long did you put it in the Ultrasonic machine?
x
@@claudiaglows I used the same lecithin that you did and I blended for 5 minutes 4 times and it was in the ultrasonic for 1.5 hours. Should I blend and do the ultrasonic again? Thanks so much for your reply!
@@melelle25 hhmm, that is strange. It's worth a try to blend it once more and put it back in the ultrasonic machine, though what you did sounds perfect and should def. be enough.

What is your feeling of the brands CORE? And also NOW? Thank you very much.

Hello Claudia I hate to pain with all my silly questions.
I like to know how many mg of glutathione should I take a day. The one I am going to make according to your method.
My blood work shows the law level of glutathione is 80% of my problems
Hi Frank, you are not a pain and are definitely not asking a silly question
However we do not have a great answer for you, since we are all different
If you make my recipe I would maybe start taking about 1/4 tsp a day and see how you feel. If you need more you can increase it
You could also try adding NAC which can help with glutathione production
Hi Claudia - thanks for this video - just found it today. Can you share with me where you came up with this recipe / process? I am always curious to know the quality of the end product and since yours here involves the various blending and the final 90min ultrasound "treatment" - I figured that can't be a coincidence. I would really love to hear from you!
Hi Richard, unfortunately I can not take any credit for the recipe. I found it years ago on line and it was supposed to be a dupe for a popular store brand liposomal C. The only thing I have done over the years is reduced the alcohol from 12% to 4%
x
@@claudiaglows Thanks for your answer, Claudia! I am going to try it out. I keep wondering how we can judge the quality, and in how far the duration of the various steps are influencing that. How did you come up with these timings?
again, I just followed the recipe I found and aside from the alcohol % did not change anything@@richarddelaat6639

Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that. Please let me know how it worked out

Thank you for you video. However, are there any liposomal vitamin C products already premade? I find the process you described too intimidating for me to try and if I'm consuming this drink, I want to make sure it's made properly. Any brands that are already premade and safe to use?
Hi, they are definitely some liposomal vitamin C brands available. My current favorite is by.Cymbiotica .
I used the freezer between blending to cool it down faster. And I ran the blender on high. Can that damage the encapsulation? My mixture is a darker brown color. The melting of the vit C takes longer than 15 minutes & I have to stir it a bunch of times to get it to turn clear. I used the ultrasound machine to dissolve the Vit C.
Next time I will use the lecithin granules. The powder is messy & gets on everything. They also put small silica packets that can easily go into the powder mixture that gets poured into the blender container. I had to use a metal strainer to capture all the silica preservative packets. I learned the hard way by discovering one of the ripped up packets in the blender container. Had to throw the whole batch out & start from the beginning.
Hi, I am sorry you had so much trouble with your mixture. Yes, too high temperatures can degrade the vitamin c. I also prefer granules over powder.
I hope you next batch turns out better, please keep me posted
x
Hi Claudia for the vodka. Can I use 33% alcohol instead?
Hi Irene, I think that should be ok. Please keep me posted on how it works out
Hi there. Hope you can offer insight. I made my first batch. Before I made it, I had started coming down with a slight cold. I have been taking it 3x a day but it has had no impact on the cold whatsoever. I have had more results in the past with taking regular vitamin c when having a cold. What I believe happened, my machine says if you use more than 30 minutes, you need to give it a 20 minute break inbetween rounds as it will heat up too much. So I did that, but I realized that the water was still quite warm, I didnt change out the water, I just let the beaker sit in it during those 20 minutes. Then started again, and after that round it was quite warm and the water in the beaker. I know you stated in another video not to have it go above 96.8 f I believe. My silly thermometer is kinda wonky, so it was giving me different readings some below 96.8 and some much higher. But I think it was too high. When the temp goes too high, does that ruin the effectiveness? Should I after the first round of 30 minutes, let the beaker go in the fridge for 20 minutes and change the water on my machine? My machine says to use room temp, not too cold of water as that can damage the machine. Which I did (room temp) but I used the same water throughout the rounds. Its def NOT hot here so the ambient temp wouldnt have impacted it. Any advice?
Hi, I am sorry you are sick and hope you will feel better soon
Yes, if the mixture gets too hot, it looses efficacy
What I have to do, unless our apartment is really cold, is put the mixture in the fridge between the 30 min sessions
I don’t change the water, but you could, to speed things up
I would still use our batch, just take a bot more of it, and for the next batch do what I suggest
I hope this helps
Please keep me posted and feel better

@@claudiaglows Thanks so much. Will do that :)
@@DL-sl3nt please keep me posted
Hi, The same thing happened to me. The water in the US machine got quite warm. The machine said 32 degrees C after the second 30 minutes. I started with chilled water.
So I poured some of the warm water out and replaced it with chilled water. I was able to finish the 3rd 30 minutes with the temp not exceeding 32 degrees. Without stopping to put the beaker in the frig.
I think next time I will run the US machine outside in the morning when its coolest.
Is it better for the encapsulation to have the water just below the limit of 36 Celcius?
Okay so I just need to know if I get it right before are jump start with the recipe.
If I don't have an ultrasonic machine,
I will not have to make an extra step "after" the 2 or three times blending.
It's a bit confusing the part of with and without the ultrasonic machine. Thank you for your astounding information
Hi, sorry if that pod was a bit confusing. So if you do not have an ultra sonic machine, you will blend your mixture several times, for a few minutes, to warm it up a bit in the blender. Then you will put it in the fridge between blending sessions. After 3 to 5 times going through this, you just bottle it and you’re done. Make sure to stored it in the fridge. Please keep me posted

I dident know you could have it in a bottle when you used the ultrasonic cleanser? Also didnt know about the distilled water, I thought that was dangerous or even deadly to drink?
Hi Daniel, personally I think it is better to have it in a bottle than just the metal compartment of the ultrasonic cleaner. As far as the distilled water, it is not something you want to drink massive amounts off, since it is void of minerals, but in this recipe, is is important to use for that reason.
I hope this makes sense
