This is a dumpster fire of a school.
A friend of my graduated from there many moons ago, but she will not even display her diploma, or put it on any application...she has been told point blank that she was turned down for jobs because of Evergreen. They do not want the baggage that the nuts bring with them. Even though she graduated long before the school turned into a zoo.
@@vypersoft1 maybe your friend can say they were in a supermax prison during the time they attended Evergreen. It's a bit of a white lie but it might improve their chances of getting hired.

I go here and that guy is literally the only one like him on this campus. It's very embarrassing when news reports like this interview him and use him as a icon for this college. They also don't show it in the video, but he constantly starts and stops running wherever he goes and it's actually quite hilarious. But believe me when I say most people here are very embarrassed by his existence.

It is a horrible college with disgusting students. I am a liberal and these kids are pushing more to the right because of their so called progressive behaviour. I was going to go, during a dark time in my life when I felt hopeless and was full of self hate. But I decided to do something a bit less severe. So I shot myself in the knee and was then able to move on with my life.

What in the hell was that! I've seen propaganda videos before, but this one takes the cake. How much did they offer to get happy people. It was not a education that's for sure.
Student of colour programs? What the hell does that mean. I thought all people were equal and that America was leading the world in integrating everyone.
You do realize almost every single college, including state schools, community colleges, and public universities, has a students of color organization? Most schools have groups for students of color and a lot of them have been around for a while now. It's not about segregation, it is about providing a space for students of color to talk about race-specific issues. Also, most of these associations let white people join them if they so choose to.
Evergreen doesn't believe in Equality, instead they have "Equity Councils" which regulate who gets to be elevated and who is pushed down. Who gets to speak, and who must be silent.
The main incident at Evergreen can be traced back to someone posting an inflammatory Evergreen Facebook post about white students. Then (to prove a point) another student then re-posted the same thing with the ethnicity swapped, and everyone lost their minds (because they don't actually believe in Equality).
There was a fistfight or confrontation on campus and one of the aggressors was held in the campus police building while they contacted his parents. Apparently, because he was a black student...this was seen as an unspeakable act. This is the incident that made them want the cops removed from campus and an early catalyst for the college takeover we saw: Somebody had their parents called on them.
This "colllege" needs to lose state funding. There needs to be lasting consequences for how unethically this college has been run.
The College already had an iffy reputation, but now it's simply ruined and people won't just let this fade into memory.

First speaker eating - Its unlike a state collage but is a lot more like a collage ; Second - eating Lucky Charms; Third - dressed as a unicorn with monarch butterfly wings; Forth - Evergreen has better academics than a Community Collage. Not a great recruitment video.

I go to this school and it's a great place to learn because everyone here has the same views as you do so you don't have to worry about people with opposing views making you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. We don't receive grades so you don't have to worry about feeling devastated if you fail, everyone gets a trophy here. And to top it all off, I just got a job offer with Starbucks and I'll be ready for my career in the barista arts as soon as I graduate in May. THANKS EVERGREEN!

Evergreen’s a good school if you are disciplined and focused then they have all the resources you need to succeed. I have read many books in the library and spent a lot of days walking the trails. I went to University of Washington btw.

I went here as a late 30s adult and got my degree from this school. My choice was honestly based on proximity. If I was still living in Lake City and could go to UW then I would have done that. However, I was in Oly and didn't want to apply at some Catholic school. 🤷♂️
I do like their "Choose your pathway" thing. I took classes based on what I thought would be beneficial for my career. If I was 19 then to be honest, I probably would have choosen the easiest path to a degree. As someone a bit older I had a different mindset. So I did appreciate that as an adult who was seasoned in the workplace I could take the wheel, instead of some list of waste of time required programs to fulfill degree requirements that my community college had.
