Every year, the Eurovision is getting bigger. Countries not even technically in Europe (looking at you, Australia) are now competing in the Eurovision. More and more countries not competing are broadcasting the show. From China to America - the world is uniting in the Eurovision spirit.
But what is the Eurovision? What the heck is even going on? Well, let Petra and Måns take you on a musical trip, Broadway-style, that will make everything completely crystal clear (maybe).

The best opening ever in Eurovision history!!
0:40 "And bankrupt the host TV station." Yep, that's true. We had *four* shows, *two* second chances and one large final. We could've just had the large final, since we are already guaranteed a place in the final because we won last year.
Why can't Mans and Petra be hosts every year!! :( I love them soooo much!
The production and the hosts were the best part of this year's competition by far. Måns Zelmerlöw should try to get on the West End. I think he would do great in something like Guys and Dolls or Book of Mormon.

friends with every nation
And bankrupt
the hosting TV station
To help to shore up a post-war
Europe, in 1956, it all began
The set, I'm rather
certain, was nothing but a curtain
There were only seven
countries and one camera-man
But then it started
growing now Australia's ours!
We're a big black
hole sucking in all the star
We'll take over the
world and then conquer Mars!
That's Eurovision!
It's an annual
celebration of our culture
It's the highlight of our year
And a victory can catapult you

At Eurovision, there's no
derision cause wherever you come from

Getting votes from

But when Sweden gets
12 points from Norway, it's
clearly just good taste

Céline on a tractor, Conchita's beard
Pirates and penguins
and puppets on strings
These are a few of my favourite things!
The singers come together
like songbirds of a feather
For victory they hope and pray and beg
Wait there in the green room,
an often rather mean room, wishing
all of our competitors break a leg
The impact of the
show I cannot overstate
No matter where you
go, it's a source of debate
But it's something
you either love or hate

And the interval
act is your one big chance
To fail to live up to Riverdance!

We've had two songs with sign
language and three in made-up tongue

Montenegrin and Maltese
