Child in time DEEP PURPLE #1
look at part 2
Fully agree. Ian Gillan is a big miss of this list
Yes, l absolutely agree!! Much more difficult than highway to hell (that is a wonderful song), for example
Oh! Absolutely! David Coverdale ( Opps! Major Error! ) Ian Gillan, could scream sing like no other in his day. Not too many can follow in his footsteps. Love Deep Purple! 🌎 ❤ ✌
You are so right
Queen’s Roger Taylor does not get enough credit for the Galileos that he sang in falsetto in Bohemian Rhapsody.
Roger Taylor’s falsetto>>>
Exactly
They did, people just ignore it
Roger Taylor doesn't get enough credit as a DRUMMER!!!!! He's on par w/John Bonham & Keith Moon (but a shade behind Neil Peart, Jerry Mercer, & Gil Moore).
Also his falsettos in the Lap of the Gods were epic
Freddie was sick and sitting down when he sang The Show Must Go On. It was never performed live and the video is spliced together clips.
Freddie is forever.
“The Show Must Go On” has been performed live multiple times by Queen + Adam Lambert. Freddie was sadly so near death that it is a miracle that he could get through it once so they could get what he had done to the studio to work on it for recording.
Deep Purple "Highway Star" and "Child In Time", Steel Heart "She's Gone", Skid Row "I remember You", and there are more. 🎯
ah, i see a man of culture as well...
wasted time by skid rows even harder
In a darkened room,18 and life, wasted time and i remember u by skid row were more difficult
Steve Perry w/Journey 1977-1997
Steve Perry has solo albums 1984 & 1994
You will be happy that you listened
Child in Time forever ❤
Meisterwerk ...ever !🌟
Absolutely!! I have never seen a cover of that performance. Shows that it's not possible.
Fun fact : Freddie recorded the studio album of The Show Must Go On in just 1 take
EVH recorded the solo for "Beat It" in one 45 second take too..
"
But it wasn't first take. It was many attempts. Even was a question if he will can do it, considered illness then. But he did it from one take.
The song was recorded in May of 1990 he didn't die until November of 91 he has good days and bad days i think he would've finished regardless of his illness eventually
I love you Robert Plant ❤️
I can sing Bed of Roses and Always but that Living on a Prayer just breaks me down.
Scorpions - still loving you
Fun fact: when Queen was recording The Show Must Go On, Freddie Mercury was so sick with AIDS that Brian May (Queen’s guitarist) thought Freddie couldn’t do it. Freddie slammed his beer onto a nearby table and said “Let’s f*cking do it, darling” and recorded it in just one go.
It was vodka:)
@@katalinberta5393 oh yeah, sorry 😂
...yes vodka,not beer...
Steve Perry. Mother Father live in Houston is the best live vocal period!
True
When you have a singer than can change their range in one breath and hold the note, you're making history.
That is the definition of Freddie Mercury, indeed! 🤗✌️
Are you referring Dr.Taylor Swift?
@@alexhein8439 Sorry to say, I don't listen to Taylor. If she can pull it off, cool. We all know who can, it's too much to list.
@@TwoPair72 Gil Moore from Triumph also fits this definition.
chester benington
All descent choices, but the huge miss was Mother, Father by Journey. None of these awesome singers can dream of attempting this song. The range, control, power, technique, not to mention the emotions all combined made it an impossibility to try by anyone other than "the Voice" himself - Steve Perry.
Even Steve Perry himself, during an interview said this was the hardest song for him to sing. Imagine that...a song that even Steve found difficult!
absolutely.... Steve Perry was a once in a lifetime artist that will never be matched or duplicated
Thanks for the video🌹❤🌹 🎤🎧🌊🐳
literally anything that Cris Cornell sang
Skid Row - I Remember You
Cinderella - Heartbreak Station
She's gone , I remember you & love hurts .
These are the toughest songs ever.
Queensryche .. take hold the flame
Whitesnake ,Black Sabbath , ZZ Top ,Deep Purple ? Bon Jovi is Pop Musik ! 😅
Freddie Mercury forever....
He loved his meat in the can.
Thought Ronnie Dio with Rainbow would have made the cut somewhere. Can't argue about #1 and have to agree 💯
Heaven and hell ❤
From 1981 to 2010 I sang in rock bands all over the Mountain West club scene and I did sing some of the songs mentioned here. All of the songs here are challenging but there is a song or three that I found that where super difficult for me to sing. The first one is "Give it Away" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. That song has what I call machine gun lyrics that shoot out fast and non-stop. It wasn't a challenge for pitch because the song lyrics stay in one key through out the song, it's the endurance needed to get the song lyrics out. The second song I remember singing that is a beast is Triumph's "Fight the Good Fight." You must have a great first tenor range to handle that song or you won't speak for a month. The last one is Dio's "Last in Line.' Tough song to cover, it so easy to run out of voice getting through it. For my money, all three of these songs should be on this list.
Dazed and confused, Since I've been loving you, Immigrant song, I can't quit you baby, How many more times, Friends, Four sticks, Stairway (Section after the solo)
Like pretty much every Zeppelin song.
Highway star!!very fast!!!!
How about open arms by journey, i remember you by skid row,and shes gone by steelheart?they are so damn difficult to sing🤩
Adding Songs (My own opinion)
1. Audioslave - Cochise
2. Nazareth - Love Hurts
3. Air Supply - Making Love Out of Nothing at All
I can sing love hurts. But "where are you now" no one can sing it near exactly the chorus.
Phil Lynott,...Was one of the Greatest Singer, Songwriter and Bassist.
We will be strong" Renegade " The Boys are back in Town " Southbound ",...the Cowboy Song ",...
and so much more,...still in Love with you "....
All this remembering in my ❤,...
THIN LIZZY was Amazing,..
"Dear Miss lonely ❤",........
Thank you for this video. You are amazing 🔥
Agree with most of it, but was surprised there was no guns and roses
What about "Never Let You Go" by Steelheart, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" by Iron Maiden?
I agree in Never let you go ...he hits some crazy notes.
Legendele rockului. Amazing voice and the best band. The music is all good in all time .
For me definitely Paradise City Guns and roses without any doubt. But I definitely agree with the songs I know on this video like Living on a prayer. ❤😊
He can't bring Freddie water 😂
@@milicabulsara3518 what
@@milicabulsara3518 You do know he has a wider vocal range right? and can sing high notes with heavy rasp which is very difficult
I ❤Freddy❤
There are a lot of Songs missing I think. Journey: Don't stop believing, who's crying now, separate ways (to just name the most known)
X-Japan: Tears
Steelheart: She's gone
Lots of Toto-Songs.
Checkout the old songs of Gotthard as well.
I want to know what's love is Foreigner
Stargazer….-Rainbow❤
Myles Kennedy should be on this list!
These are from US UK only. Take a look at malaysia rock songs especially from Search, Wings, May.
So I only see three good bands Queen Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd the rest you can forget
Rock forever!🖤❤️🔥🖤💥
But we all know Freddie Mercury loved opera . And understood it very vocally .. Without being classically trained
Child in time,Still of the night,Immigrant song,Bird of prey,Hocus Pocus,....
I am a rock singer and i can think of a hundred rock songs way challenging than that of the list.
I'm surprised that The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again ' and Freddie Mercury/Montserrat Cabelle's 'Barcelona' wasn't mentioned.
Led zeppelin its greatt I loved robert plant
I admire that you paid homage to the back-up vocalists for the Floyd.
I think "Child in time" from Deep Purple is the most difficult song for a singer. It's so difficult, that Ian Gillan, the original singer, it never sings since 1990.
UPDATE: "Stargazer" from Rainbow (Ronnie James Dio) is very difficult too.
The Live album Come Hell from 1995 contains Child in Time. The last tour with Richie. But I’m not sure if it was played during tours after that. But certainly after 1990.
In his prime, Steve Perry can sing any song on this list. And then some.
You put bohemian rhapsody in 9 you lost esp when you but ac dc ahead you have no idea the control of bohemian rhapsody
I don't think this video represents hard songs to sing accurately. As someone who can sing, the only two songs on this list that I ligitamately have trouble hitting the notes on sometimes are Bohemian Shape off and Livin' On A Prayer. If someone ever revises this list, here are some songs that are actually a challenge: Magic by Pilot, Making Love Out Of Nothing At All by Air Supply, Wheel In The Sky by Journey, Open Arms by Journey, Who's Cryin' Now? by Journey, Don't Stop Believin' by Journey, Tom Sawyer by Rush, Fly By Night by Rush, Up Around The Bend by CCR, Juke Box Hero by Foreigner, and I Wanna What Love Is by Foreigner.
Interesting to hear from someone who can sing. I'm pretty much limited to "Happy Birthday" and a few somber Irish tunes, but I've heard people say that G&R's "Sweet Child of Mine" and Journey's "Mother Father" rank high on the difficult list?
@@meggert2360 sweet child o mine is difficult and takes lots of practice but DAMN is it fun to sing
Try to hit the notes on:”child in time” even Pavarotti noticed Ian Gillan.
Mother Father by journey....very very difficult song to sing live
so awesome you included 4 Journey songs because no one will ever match or compare to Steve Perry.
i think bohemian rhapsody has no chorus
The juvenile lyrics of Stairway to Heaven make it almost impossible to sing without laughing.
We All Die Young - Steel Heart
Child In Time - Deep Purple
Highway Star - Deep Purple
She's Gone - Steel Heart
I Remember You - Skid Row
Carrie - Europe
Amazing - Aero Smith
Alone - Heart
All Your Love - Steel Heart
Where Are You Now - Nazareth
...and there are actually more. 🎯😊
should include deep purple child in time , uriah heep july morning
Ian Gillan of Deep Purple and Rob Halford of Judas Priest are the best singers in rock.
Robert Plant
I only want to say in JC superstar (Gethsemane)
Don't forget Sammy Hagar .. too many range high tunes
YES
i love to sing for me the hardest song is SHE'S GONE by STEELHEART very sustain highnotes ive ever heard😊😮
Any list without Steve Perry is wrong.
I'll never let you go
Need to do a multiple list for multiple genres of music!!! 😎👍👊
Прекрасный английский! Продолжайте!
I believe in you / strypper
Приятно, что у твоей любимой группы названо два сингл Queen. Александр очень хорошо разговаривает на английском языке
How is NO SONG from BACK IN BLACK on this list? Brian Johnson was belting at registers almost unmatched in rock for the entire album.
Dream on and I don't want to miss a thing aren't even Aerosmith's most difficult songs. You've got Draw the line, What it takes, Crazy, Hole in my soul, Deuces are wild and many more. Dream on may be here because it's legendary, but IDWTMAT is not even in the top 10 most difficult Aerosmith vocal lines.
Covering Queen songs means changing the key, simplifying the chord progressions and praying nobody notices when you bleep it up.
I sing Queen songs the way they are,and I'm a nobody
@@SheewMars-uz1gg link something of you singing,I'd love to hear actually.
Alter Bridge "Words Darker Than Their Wings" Myles Kennedy has said it's the hardest for him to sing especially the ending
5:15 the real me and love rein o'r me by the WHO also! Daltry had it goin on back then nevermind having the best bassist in the world with him!
God Bless the Queen!!!
Pink Floyd Gig in the Sky is just phenomenal!!
Deep Purple what ever they sing is extraordinarily good!
Bon Jovi 💯 👍🏻
…….
Ok you’re talking about TEN…
But ☝🏻
We all know that ROCK WORLD IS HUGE…
Steve Perry Journey
Is absolutely One of the Greatest Voices ever heard….
Aerosmith e Iron Maiden para toda a eternidade ❤
For me is the vocalists of steelheart
All I can say I'm from Philippines
They are my Idols
Don't stop believing by journey is hard for me 🥲
I remember you-Sebastian Bach must be on the top list
Great list!! How bout 'Guess I'll always love you?' Young Rod Stewart BLOWS you away with his dirty gritty voice.. nothing better!!!
Regarding Iron Maiden, back when I was much younger and in really good shape, I used to jump rope while singing along to the entire _Number of the Beast_ album. Trust me, "Gangland" is the toughest tune to sing correctly, not "Run to the Hills."
Even Children of the Damned , prisoners , 22 Ac
Back in my day I sang and danced to that album too. Gangland is hard.
Great gig in the sky!!
Deep Purple's Child in Time is the hardest ever.
I think you goofed during the description of the singing challenges facing your top choice The Great Gig in the Sky. You said the singer has to contend with the emotional lyrics. What??? Please write those lyrics out for me because in the hundreds of times I've listened to that song I love to hear Clare Torry's incredible wordless vocal (as you played it in the video). At the beginning of the recorded song a male voice reads a few lines of poetry but those lyrics are not sung.
Ohh, Led Zeppelin has much more super hard songs, basically never covered normally - Out of the tiles ( only 3 times live), Four Sticks (only 2 times performed live), Gallows Pole (4 live takes only), Celebeation day in original tone (only several times in second part of 71)
Claire Tory did a Fantastic job in that number 👏 Hats off to Her. Still love listening to that song 🎵 👍❤👌
Steelheart shes gone, scorpion still loving you missing in the list
Deep Purple
Child in time
Space Trucking
Lazy
Child in Time
Stargazer
" I'll never let you go " by : Steel Heart
That's why you practice
What about Yes. Close to the edge
What about She’s gone by Steelheart ?
Я бы упомянул Stone Cold Crazy.
Which song on this list demands vocal power, stamina, precision, and control?
ALL of them according to the narrator! He says it for every single song!
The queen supper
She’s Gone by Steelheart!! ❤
👍👍👍
Brilant Steven Tyler still has it.😊
1. Child in time - deep purple
No 1 is steel heart
Guns N Roses Rocket Queen #1
Первые секунды три я не понимал, что происходит, а потом понял... Ну удачи тебе на этом канале
And then there is the impossibly inimitable The HU band from Ulaanbaatar . . . nothing in rock history can compare with the musicianship and unique vocals of these Mongolian throat singers. (Metallica added The HU's rendition of "Through the Never" into their latest _Metallica Blacklist_ album; Star Wars canon now includes The HU's "Sugaan Essena"; and UNESCO just conferred The HU with the prestigious Artist for Peace award.) Heavy metal is forever changed, expanded by these newcomers! 🤘🤘
I'm surprised you completely left out YES ! It's really complicated to try ROUNDABOUT , LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND AND MORE ! OWNER OF A LONELY HEART ! ALL SONGS VERY DIFFICULT
