Exactly. Parents are the biggest offender with this. My parents just started charging me rent but they also demand I'm home by 10 every night. Look, if you're going to charge me rent, and make me buy half of my food, than it's no longer reasonable for you to try and give me a curfew.
Lol, sorry I needed to vent.

Getting your first job is really awkward because people make a weird face when you say that this is going to be your first job. It's stupid because how many jobs do people expect a 16 or 17 year old to have had? They have to start somewhere.

Yeah, I try to volunteer where I can. I do loads of stuff around my church, and help out with children's events, e.t.c. I have literally zero friends because I moved recently and because I'm introverted I've always had this small friend group; so that completely changed. And honestly, even introverted, its *_REALLY_* hard, and super lonely. Like , on my phone sitting alone at lunch just feels terrible. I don't understand how someone could _want_ to have zero friends.

Another thing I hate about being a teenager is that I am not allowed to complain about one small thing without adults instantly disregarding me as just another "edgy, moody, hormonal teenager". Honestly, it's like I can't have a bad day without the puberty card being thrown in my face by some angry adult.

    • @IsleNaK

They just don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. If you have an argument and they throw the hormone card at you then they just don't want to face the fact that arguments are always caused by two parties ^^.

Not doing them is almost worse than going with the crowd, because everyone wonder why you don't have a date and don't want to be a part of the biggest drama-fest of the year. And then they all use the same excuses to try and get you to do it

I never heard of prom myself, maybe Hungary doesn't do them (anymore) but I feel unhealthy for not dating. Not that I was basically harassed by girls in various ways, from beating to teasing, all the way to humiliation and abuse. So yea... I definitelly am unhralthy. But there's also an issue: my mother expects Me, an autistic fellow, to get a healthy girlfriend, so She can take care of little old autistic Me, so anyone in my condition, disabled and handicapped people, the group I so unfortunately fell into, is out of the question. Only healthy ladies. Problem 1 was: no healthy ladies in high school. Or the elementary School I went to as a teen for that matter... Because those were filled with handicapped/disabled people. The one chance I had at dating also had a condition my mother feared, and made Me fear as well. And when I met her as a twenties old a few times... my mother's protective measures and my general cowardice made every meeting with her a painful, awkward moment. My other problem was, at the time of my teenage years, the face that I did not want to date (making my only chance at date even more hurt by my selfishnes). I imagined my sexuality limited to one-night stands, sex for fun. When I eventually considered dating, I wanted a polyamorous relationship in a culture strictly adapted for monogamy. Meaning that I will struggle for the rest of my life. And dissapoint my former date-material with multiple things at this point. And I also have more chances of being repulsive to ladies with how I imagine my dating (as a polyamorous dude, I want to sit at one table with 3 girls at once, impressing them with my nonexistent charisma, then take them home, spend the evening with entertainment, such as TV or CZcams, or anything, really, then do a foursome for the night) and there. My situation in a shellnut. I actually feel kinda affected by my lack of dates. Hopefully, there's still time to prevent chronic depression. But I regularly feel pretty lonely. And before anyone asks: I am bi, ladies however are priority 1 even to Me.

I remember when my dad threw a graduation party for me and my sister a lot of family members asked "What are you going to do now?" and I would immediately reply "I don't know..." to which they would say "What do you mean 'you don't know'?!"you see, my step-sisters had kids when she were still teenager, my parents had me when they were 19, my step-mom had my oldest step-sister when she was a senior in high school, so it only makes sense that they would all have to get their lives together as quick as possible. But me, I didn't think I'd make it past high school, so when I graduated I decided to rest for a bit. Now I'm 22 and in college, and I still don't have my entire life planned out, and I've discovered that this is OK. Even though I'm not a teenager, I can still have fun and not worry so much about responsibility.

I have a feeling when the time comes they are going to force me to go.... but if they do try to force me, I will leave the house in a dress acting like I'm going, but in reality I'm just going to go to a friend's house or something.

I didn't want to go til 3 weeks before and I'm glad I changed my mind because looking back on it 3 years later it was the second best night of my high school days next to graduation. 1. When I was in Public School, this happened ALL THE TIME-- not JUST in middle school, but in elementary school. Someone makes one person upset, then they say "WE'RE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE YOU MEANIE" and then, well, I was always stuck in the middle of probably 45+ friends, trying to help each situation, because being in elementary school and seeing so many people upset made ME upset.
    2. Never had Prom, never will, I'm sticking with homeschool. Not interested in dancing since that one time I was in elementary school and we went to this big 5th grade graduation party, I slipped on something, and fractured my wrist. Now I never ever want to do it again ever.
    3. "I cannot stand drama!" I heard that all the time. And then they'd get into more of it. Eventually I couldn't stand it anymore and so the last day of school for me I was like, "Guys, I'm homeschooling." "Why?" "We're moving (and I'm really just done with this unnecessary drama)."
    4. Since I eat organically, and eat to my metabolism and such, I don't have much acne whatsoever. My face is usually pretty okay, except since I'm also cleansing my body, I've gotten two huge boils, but it's okay, as long as it doesn't hurt. I don't really care if it's there or not-- I'm in fact intrigued and fascinated by puss and blackheads. xD
    5. I don't date.
    6. If God has no expectations for me or others; I'll be the same. That's just how it goes for us!
    7. I used to be pretty awkward, especially if I run out of things to talk about, but I'm actually pretty okay at making a conversation, even though I don't have that many friends left... and most of those friends have moved onto other things like Sherlock or Doctor Who, while I'm still sitting here with Pokemon, Kirby, and other stuff that I play and do.
I personally feel really blessed to be who I am now; the devil used to make me think that being a teenager stunk because every adult or elder would think that we're just kids who don't know what their doing or we're ungrateful. But I learned (and am still learning) that that's not what people think of me.

I'm a senior, graduating in June, and I've never been to a prom, never had hardly a friend, much less a girlfriend... and I gotta say, sometimes my life looks so much better compared to others, when you put it in the ways that you guys did. The nice thing about staying farther away from people is that less drama happens. Sure it can get lonely but, hey! God is never far away when I need him.
I do agree with the whole expectations thing. The number one question asked to me: "So what do you plan on doing next? You have any colleges picked out?" (Okay, that was two. :P) Seriously, why do people think you have a college picked out. I'm interested in computer science, preferably programming, and so I really want to go to college for that, but darnit I don't have a clue about anything past high school! I will admit, though, that's probably my favorite thing about high school, how you know what's expected of you. I mean, you take required classes, maybe some electives, but other than that it's all planned out for you.
As for awkwardness, I find that if you're the one who made it awkward, then you're the one with the one-up. If you choose to make it awkward, or it just so happened to fall that way, you can rest easy and make the situation not awkward for you by making it even more awkward. At least, that's what I find. ;)
Anyway, if you made it to this point, gg. You know a bunch of pointless information about me, expressed via a way-too-long CZcams comment! Now continue your comments reading. :) #introvertsunite

Your friends will not let you listen to their topics which involve boyfriends, sex, and other stuff related to sex. :( They will call you a kid and ignore you, because you are into books, video games, Harry Potter, and fantasy etc.. From the adult's perspective here..... They have a sucessful life (the adults), that means they haven't experienced today's teenagers options for college. So, they give the advice to the teenagers thinking that they're helping as if they have a child in their hands, which they're not and adds stress to teenagers they're talking to.

My friend introduced me to your channel somewhat recently, and I just want to comment to say thank you, whether you see this comment or not. I have had a rough week and I've been praying and reading the bible, but I really appreciate this channel because a lot of the time, I wind up using social media as an outlet. And it's really difficult as a Christian in this day and age to find something funny and lighthearted to watch which also doesn't have some sort of material that makes you feel a little off spiritually. Although, a lot of the videos are sarcastic, I still feel safe coming to this channel. And it really brightened my day today. It gives me hope that there are youtubers out there who can still come up with comical material still with certain moral overtones. Just thank you. Because when you watch certain things, it may be funny and make you forget troubles for a while, but it can also cloud the mind and make you forget to leave everything at the feet of Jesus in prayer.

I think it's because we're all so critical of ourselves, even with really little things that we don't notice in others. So, the guy sitting next to you probably thinks his acne is horrible and doesn't even notice yours.

Gosh, at 24, I still have plenty of awkward moments that make me want to crawl in a dark corner and hide. I really don't like that everyone expects us to have everything together. All I want to do is have fun with my friends without the judgement. :/ And by the way, working with youth ministry and watching all those teenagers go through the same thing gives you sympathy awkwardness.
