Kai Havertz is on his way to beating his career best for goals and assists in a league season. His career best was 17 goals and 3 assists at Leverkusen. This is already his 2nd best season of his career, level with the 19/20 season (the year before he joined Chelsea) when he also scored 12 goals and 6 assists. So in Havertz's first season at Arsenal he's already hit the numbers that made Chelsea spend 75 million pounds on him (nowadays he would've cost 100-125 million).
I thought it was a great signing because of the hype around him not just from fans but from clubs and analysts. They were comparing him to Özil, Bergkamp, etc. I'm still unsure whether he'll reach those world class/generational heights that were predicted of him but he's definitely on the right track. His goals/assists per game record at striker is the best in the league, a goal or an assist every 61 minutes...
Every time Kai Havertz has scored for Arsenal, they have won...

Havertz performances in this second half of the season is why we are challenging at all.
The guy has dealt with all the negativity and pressure and is fast becoming a fan favourite.
Arteta and Edu are apparently now seriously debating the need for a 9 and are possibly turning their attention to a pacy winger on the left as that's where we have been underperforming.
I still think personally we need a number 9 to give us options but I don't think we need a mega signing.
Our shopping list should be Theo Hernandez, Douglas Luiz, Olise and Gyokeres.
With these additions Arsenal would be the finished article and Arteta would then have to win the PL next season as failure would be unthinkable.

The issue with pundits and football content makers is that they only have a single point of view to everything. Those lads laughing at Havert's signing , have probably never played professionally nor managed even a high-school team. The other dynamic of a football signing is the manager's and what he sees in a player and his vision for him. It is foolhardy to critic that which you do not comprehend and I think Haverts and Arteta of all has proved this, it's the reason they are the pros and we are the fans/critics/pundits/content creators etc.

Ange Postecoglou has been massively over-hyped because of the opening 11 games of the season. Since then he's been poor, tactically Ange Postecoglou has been poor being exploited by teams like Brighton, Wolves, West Ham, Arsenal and Chelsea. He's also spent a ridiculous amount of money and expectations last June when he was announced was top 6. That was before the 200+ million pounds of investment, we can be brutally honest, Ange Postecoglou has underperformed and bottled it this season.
