  • @Ayodeji_01
    @Ayodeji_01 Před 21 dnem +20

    Terry, I wish you see this.
    Talking about rivalry, remember we beat Manchester City when they were in a title race with United for the their first PL title and we gave United a substantial point gap ahead of man city given the rivalry between Ferguson and Wenger, we didn’t care about United winning but just wanted our team to win a football match.
    On a more recent occasion, the title race between Leicester City and spurs. Arsenal beat Leicester City home and away that same season regardless of how it affects the title race.
    And lastly, just the last weekend, the United team really upped their levels against Arsenal even more than they did against City home and away. Even the fans at OT who knew the magnitude of what would happen to the title race (winning it for City) still wanted United to win the game regardless.
    Whilst I understand some Tottenham fans wanting to lose to City but the fact that they still actually meant it as the game went on. That really shocked me to pieces. Would I have done differently? Honestly can’t say about what I would want the outcome to be but cheering against my own team during a football match? Never.👎
    Unto Ange, he’s going to quit like Conte did because the “internally and externally” part of his statement meant he must have seen a lot within the club, some of the players and its environs to see that they are mentally rotten and the match yesterday revealed everything to him. This will be the foundation of his frustration. The fans won’t know the impact of the short gains (being happy to lose to city) until the transfer window when they start seeing potential good players, after seeing the mentality of the fans, reject the club for clubs where they feel the passion and the will of the fans to Win. This is because the whole world saw the show yesterday. After struggling to get the players, then they will start blaming Levy for not getting Ange his first choice players and consequently, Ange becoming frustrated with the mess will either run down his contract or be fired for a poor run of results.
    Even players like Madison, udogie and VDV must be reviewing their choice to sign for the club.
    Whoever wins the league title will be deserving Champions. The runners up will just have to learn their lessons and try to avoid the same mistakes as they go again next season.
    My prayer to the football gods as an Arsenal fan will be for Villa to lose to palace, spurs to beat Sheffield by minimum of 4 goals, Westham do a madness against city and Arsenal beat Everton to be crowned champions. ( I know this is just pure clutching at the only drop of HOPIUM water in a Sahara desert but what else have I got😂😂😂😂).

    Social media has made football fans weird and exposed the mentality of small clubs fans.
    Jamie Ohara wearing a city top and celebrating his teams 5th loss in 6 games is next level weird. Factor in Spurs are 23 points behind Arsenal with 1 game left and finished 24 points behind last season. 2 years after pipping Arsenal to 4th place they’ve gone backwards and they’re not even angry. They’re celebrating it.
    I’d be looking at Villa who were relegation candidates before Emery came in and are now in the CL. I’d be looking at that and demanding that for my club. But Spurs have a history of envy, of small club mentality and an inferiority complex. They celebrated a last minute equaliser at home to Arsenal that allowed Arsenal to win something they could never get near to at their own ground. You wouldn’t see a Liverpool team at Anfield do that, a Utd team at Old Trafford … even Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
    But then what can you expect - which alumni of winners would hold them accountable? Which fan of the trophy eras would complain? They don’t have them - just clowns like Ohara who was awful in his day and no one alive who remembers Spurs winning the league

      @robcarney-ck9sp tbh its was the majority. even yesterday Perry groves said on talk sport "I'd rather arsenal finish 17th than spurs won a title". it pretty normal for a British rivalry. I as a utd fan don't want city to win the title but I can't blame spurs fans or tbh their team... the team definitely tried to win that match. for me that's the main thing so that the league has integrity. there's already enough issues with ffp and var questions about integrity so atleast let's have all teams trying to win all games
      I personally still wanted utd to beat arsenal I can never back against my own club but losing narrowly giving arsenal a chance to stop city eas a small consolation. if it were Liverpool however part of me would kinda wanna lose to stop them... dunno if I could cheer it tho but I can understand it
      I think there's just a lot of frustration out there at city likely winning a 4th

    This mentality is exactly why Spurs no longer win major trophies. They are too concerned about Arsenal winning over their own club and its clear far too many spurs fans are Arsenal haters instead of spurs lovers. I would understand if it was the Champions league as Arsenal have never won it but spurs have seen us lift the league 13 times in our history even winning our last one at their home and we've also seen them do it once. Small club mentality and it sounds like even Ange has had enough. It's also a joke that the likes of Romero who was at fault for losing the game ended the game with all smiles and joking with pep immediately after in front of everyone.
