    I think that we must look for the blades of the impeller inside the channels of the engine.They can disrupt cooling stuck inside.

    Hi! I have the same motor and water is coming from the two holes what I assume to be exhaust outcome holes. The motor is working well but I just wonder is it normal that water comes out from those holes (or at least one of those)? The only flaw I know is that the thermostat is stucked to be open all the time. Anyhow, this motor is a marvelous piece of engineering, love it.

    Bad pump impeller is one thing, but no impeller at all... LOL
    My latest project was a car in which the previous owner in is mighty cleverness decided to replace a flexible brake hose with a brake PIPE... Useless to say and lucky me that it failed (fatigue crack) inside my garage while testing. If it have been on the road someone might have been killed...

      The fins on the impellers harden an retain shape after awhile (few years) then they can start braking the fins off. Best not to even let them get that far an replace every few years. Looking at doing the impeller on my 15hp outboard very soon myself to be on the safe side of things

    • @gringoloco8576
      @gringoloco8576 Před 4 lety +1

      I think typically they recommend like 2 to 3 yrs for impeller. They start to bend and get less effective. Eventually you'll get an overheat if don't replace.
