Yao could've been one of the best centers of all time. If only he and TMac were healthy.
Healthy?
Yes, healthy.
Definitely, dude was a great player by the time he retired.... He could even shoot freethrows
I agree
They would have won more than 1 title. Love their duo.
Remember this. Yao was a beast. Upload more like this please.
+Philadelphia 76ers FUTURE 2017 CHAMPS LOL.u have to be an internet troll everyone knows the mavs are gon win it all this year!
+SuperSad Pika ayy
How u reply like that their was just an update..
@2:52 Yao, had one of the best touches ever to play in the NBA. name one player who's 7'5 and can do a pivot pump fake fadaway over Dirk like yao did all his career, with his quick release and footwork. not to mention, he shot technical freethrows for the team. who do you know thats 7'5 shooting best free throw percentage on his team? I miss Yao's games
thenewcoming lol there is not many 7’5s in the league
@@mole3579 exactly man!! He was just a glitch
It’s not like we have players to compare him to but trash Shawn Bradley lol. You are definitely overrating Yao, but he was a good player no doubt.
always loved his soft touch, no other center of that size had his footwork and soft touch from that era
If he was actually shorter i think he would of been an even better player. People claim its his height is why he is good. To some degree but why didnt he just play like shaq?. He has some smooth foot work with some michael jordon fade aways.
His size made him inconsistent because he was injury prone.
Yao is and always will be my favorite NBA player of all-time. GWOC is a GOAT !
nba this should the kind of vids you upload in the offseason. Great performances from the past
or just go to vintage dawkins lol
I think people like YAO more about his humility and personality. And how YAO overcame doubts and stereotypes and lived up to the expectation.
the rockets had two "what could've been if not for injuries" players on the same team
never knew yao had such a great touch of the ball. he was really a underrated center in my opinion
after seeing shaquille o'neal's *61 point game* it's hard to notice any other center 👀
I was too young when Yao Ming was still playing to watch the games. I heard a lot about him though but didn't know he was really this good until I watched these games on youtube. Still amazed how a 7'5" could be so skillful and so smooth. Respect.
yao = good player. respect from greece
t-mac and yao was one of the best duo I ever seen
Yao Ming was a MONSTER at that time, the real star!
Yao Ming yao Ming Yao Ming yao Ming, you Ming... Yao ming
Yao ming has a lot of size on him. Unlike in to day's NBA where most of the 7 footers are built like toothpicks.
Obviously gimme your ring
L
that's so not true tho 😂😂😴
Well done Yao! Hall of famer!
Need more videos like this! Can't believe Yao is almost forgotten in many corners
Yao was a beast. Had some of the best post moves in the league.
He was extremely agile for someone his size. Incredible.
Man T-Mac was a beast. It just sucks that he couldn't stay healthy for most of his career.
Yao Ming. Always one of my best NBA player. PROUD OF HIM
my GOAT. loved this man
shot 13 for 14!?? Are you kidding me!? Show me one center today that can shoot that efficiently that doesn't just score off dunks and lobs.
Theo Blanch Nikola Jokić, got a perfect triple double, with no missed 3s or FGs
@@animalscars3799 jokic wasn't that good 3 years ago and he meant 3 years ago
I almost forget how fast he really is, consider how tall he is.
This is better than Dwight ever could be!
That shake-and-bake at 2:53, that shouldn’t even be possible for someone that size. That was so stinkin’ pretty. Man, Yao was a different beast. I wish I would have seen and appreciated his game more when he was playing.
Damn, T-Mac and Yao were cold. Wish we could have seen more from them. Injuries may have stole a ring from them.
more of this kind of video plz!
That looked like a fun game!
That time when you had a hard time choosing Suns, Spurs or Rockets
Is this the same game T-Mac dunked on Shawn Bradley?
Yes. The poster
Game before that he hit a fadeaway 3 while running away from the basket with dirk and finley in his face from waaaaay deep
1:40 7'5 against 7'6 , and 7'5 wins. Lmao battle of the giants.
I was in elementary school when Yao entered the league, and I never really watched basketball other than highlights. All I knew about him was that he was tall and Chinese and very hyped. That said, I had no idea how insane it was for someone with his build to be that mobile and skilled. If he could've been allowed to recover properly and rest in the off-season, I think he would've been considered a top 10 center ever.
I have a lot of respect for him.
Yao !
1:30 yao was very mobile for his height
Hell yeah. Yao Ming was nice af in his prime
and a nice shot too
Title indicates that Yao faced the Mavericks alone 😂😂😂
basically did this game lmao. they couldnt stop him.
+Donyea Mosley couldn't stop him? lol its 33 points and 8 rebounds not 50 and 20 with 5 blocks.. yao is over rated as fuck
+Catya Fapen How many NBA points have you scored in the NBA again?
+Jake Butler None same as you. that doesn't mean I can't observe players skill and what they did to impact the game. me playing basketball has nothing to do with Yao being overrated.. not saying he was bad.. dude was great just gets overrated that's all
+Catya Fapen This is just describing this certain vid in particular. Yao Dominated the entire game. Yao is a HOFer. Just let the man live. We are not comparing him to Wilt or Hakeem. But hes still was an amazing player.
he's a great player🏀
That Mcgrady last shot too damn smooth
Nice
man I can't believe rockets lost with t mac in his prime and yao Ming
t Mac was not in his prime when he was with the rockets. his prime was with Orlando. when the rockets got him he was already injury prone
+Tnc Hou yeah but he was still great with the rockets. Honourable mention would be his 13 points in 35 seconds against the Spurs.
+Tnc Hou trust me after he left us he entered his prime 😂 like Bruh I wish he had stayed with us and entered his prime with us maybe him and VC could have played for us raps in there prime and got a ring for us and themselves 😂😂 but aye yo they made there decisions, let's hope VC retires in Toronto!
Tmac averaged 31-7-7 in this series on 46% FG. 2006 season is when injuries really hurt him.
two times force game 7 but all lost. sad.
Lol remember when Erick Dampier said he was the best center in the West?
legend!
+NBA Still working on the digitized game archive?
Yao had a great game. The man was unstoppable while scoring. He was intelligent with the ball. Shame his career was short because of injuries.
That screen by Yao was such perfect timing.
I remember the ref that was prosecuted for betting on games he officiated alluded that an NBA executive told their supervisor to order them to be very strict on a particular player's screens in later games. Fucked up Yao's mojo.
Yao came in the NBA in 2002, the guy already unstoppable in just 2 years of playing and didnt event hit his prime shhhhhh
Yao badly outplayed Dirk in this series
Yao was fundamentally sound. This man was 90%+ FT
What a magnificent dunk by Tracy McGrady. My older brother went crazy with that dunk.
yao is the most versatile center the NBA has ever seen. he can play power, speed, he can shot from anywhere within the 3 point line, and can even shoot 3 point
Had TMac and Yao stayed healthy together for atleast 3 seasons.... who knows, they might have won a ring... hayyss😔🔥👌
Yao should include as a GOAT!
This dude is a cheat in 2K
nice
The Opposing Team Got A Head Start On The Tip Off
🐐🐐
Yao Ming!
Yo.
YAO!
yo.
YAO!
yo
YAO!
lol. one of the best commercials.
And the craziest thing is he shot 13/14
Dirk vs. Yao 👀 2 unique bigs going at it!
I like how Dirk look short in this video
Before 10k
Yao is good
Yao is the greatest Basketball player from China, No anyone else
Notice how confidently T-Mac hit that game winning shot, like "it's just a regular day at work" lol
Shot 13 for 14 wow!
That's some tight ass 720p right there.
T mac is cold. I know everyone says it but I really wish him and Yao could have stayed healthy together.
I started watching the season Spurs won the chip against the cavs so I never saw this series. How did the rockets lose this series up 2-0? Was it defense or injuries?
Yao was a monster...
legend in both basketball and internet.. 😂
lol dirk is so fast compared to nowadays
Well he was younger
+Steph Curry The G.O.A.T yes of course :)
+hrdcrehns 2 was *
hes lucky hes still playing today, most big men over 7 foot cant do shit at his age. still got that smooth looking jumper
the post moves are real
Yao top fit
I wish we won these finals too
Last time I was this early.... well i never been this early :(
Everyone just imagine if tmac and Yao were completely healthy. It sucks to think about how successful they could've been
33pts on 13/14- that’s unHarde like
The big man is so gorgeous
Kvh you might wanna step out on the best jump shooter on the floor with 2s left in the game. Just a suggestion
Would have been a different series had Juwan Howard been healthy.
I've never been this early
Yao is the GOAT at Center
Didn't hold a candle to Shaq.
+Vicerex Yao > Shaq
Zook T Oh? Here's their career stats:
Name: Shaq / Yao
FG%: .582 / .524
FT%: .527 / .833
ORB: 3.5 / 2.5
DRB: 7.4 / 6.7
TRB: 10.9 / 9.2
AST: 2.5 / 1.6
STL: 0.6 / 0.4
BLK: 2.3 / 1.9
PPG: 23.7 / 19.0
Only category Yao beat Shaq was FT%, Shaq completely dominates Yao statistically. You're entitled to your own opinion but stats don't lie, Yao is significantly inferior to Shaq.
+Vicerex stats do lie, because they are taken out of context all the time.
The fact that Yao Ming has a superb range and that he can make free throw helps the team a ton in any given situations.
It is almost like this:
Shaq: inside 10 outside 0
Yao: inside 9 outside 7
Yao Ming's dunk face is the best
the days i never miss one rocket game
do they not have a proper camera in 2005?
3:13 The moment Yao's translated knew he lost his job 😩😩😂😂😂
We miss Yao Ming
1:39- 7'5 against 7'6....those are f**king huge people. I'm 6'2 but that height sounds giant even to me.
6'2 is quite tall but 7'5 would make you look like a child
The look on his translator says " I'm going to loose my job..."
how he moves so quick
how is a 92% fg percentage not in the title
The Rockets have seen better days. Yao Ming has seen better days.
09-26-16.
Damn Yao Ming is a fucking beast 😎
I forgot how good this guy was...
he was amazing
i miss Yao. He's not just big, he's truly skilled. Unlike the bums they have in the NBA right now.
But how did they still lose this series?? its soo sad to know that TMAC/YAO never made it past the first round
what draft is Yao Ming?
Draymond Green would have been proud of that offensive screen on the last play
