FINALLY MAN I deleted shotcut my mistake and then when I redownloaded it IT WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT when I searched some tutorials for the newer version there were NONE and then I got this in recommended after a week. thank u sir
Thanks for the tutorial. I've just downloaded and started working with it. I came from using Adobe After Effects on and off for a few years, but decided I wasn't using it enough to justify the monthly cost. Already I'm finding this program so intuitive (maybe due already having some skills from working with adobe). It is much easier to use than After Effects; perhaps because of its relative simplicity. Among other things I like how you can just directly see the soundwaves of the audio right there in the bar for the video and so you can easily make your cuts, for long unnecessary pauses etc. And I'm not even using a GPU and it's running without any issues, unlike Adobe which was quite power hungry. I have a gpu on my secondary computer now so I can use Da Vinci. But for the moment this software suits my needs so I'll stick with it as well because the user experience is pretty nice compared to what I have been accustomed to.
I came from using Movie Maker. I just really want to right click on an wav file and selected edit with shortcut then add some image files and export an MP4 file, upload it to youtube but the interface is a bit complex.
Man, this is actually way better than any other tutorial i've watched on Shotcut, things like those fade transitions i probably would never have found by just experimenting. Thank you.

Does anyone know how to get 1080p resolution for facebook? tried everything from high, main profile h.264 and even the youtube format, tried lowering it 30fps bilinear good, still gives me 720p resolution, I'm tryna post it on a group page, I can see some can upload upto 1440p, I only wanted to get full 1080p resolution for facebook

@@icecp6532 It is a multi-step process as I read it. Got to split the video at two points, delete the middle, then rejoin the two parts. Wouldn't it be simpler to just be able to cut out a chunk and then have the two ends automatically rejoin?
All I use SHOTCUT for is I load .264 clips & SHOTCUT will ask me if I want to convert the file to .mp4. Oh, Hell Yeah! I then load the .MP4 file into OPENSHOT, do my editing & save. I have tried to learn SHOTCUT but cant get it to do anything other than load a new file. If a programmer is worth a SH, his program will be intuitive. No need for a user manual or teaching video. In this regard, SHOTCUT FAILS. Too complicated. !
