    German cockroaches love warm, dark, confined spaces, and while they are most often found in kitchens and bathrooms, it is not uncommon to find them in your electronics, such as game consoles, routers, modems, refrigerator motors, power supplies, TVs, and more.
    Devices like routers, TVs, and game consoles in particular see roach activity due to their near constant use and warmth.
    While all cockroaches share some of the same characteristics, German cockroaches are easily identified by their size. German roaches typically measure only a half inch length; much smaller than other common roaches like American and Smokey Brown. They are lighter color, and they have two distinct dark lines behind their heads that run down their backs.
    Check the areas around any openings or ports your device may have, such as vents or battery ports. If intended by the manufacturer, open your device up for a complete inspection, but be careful not to damage any inner components. You can also simply shine a light into your device if you’re unable to open it.
    Start your treatment plan with Apex Cockroach Gel Bait. This gel bait is a vital tool in controlling German roach infestations. Apex is slow-killing bait, so when roaches feed on it, they have time to return to the nest and spread the lethal bait to others.
    Apply just a pea sized drop onto something like an index or business card, and place this near the infested device. Make bait placements near where we know there is roach activity so that they are discouraged from foraging away to other food sources.
    Next, apply Novacide. Novacide is an aerosol insecticide that is labelled to control not just German cockroaches but other common pests like fleas, ticks, ants, and more. Novacide is great to use because it will target adult German roaches and younger generations of German roaches.
    Spray the aerosol in a downward sweeping motion on floor surfaces, focusing on areas around your electronics and kitchens. Also spray around baseboards and floorboards, and around the internal perimeter of your home.
    Be sure to visit our website for an in-depth guide and access to each of our products. We guarantee that these products and tips will help control German roaches in and around your electronics, and we offer same day shipping to help you get control quickly.

      This honestly made me cry, I've been fighting a roach infestation in my apartment for the last couple months, I live with my dad alone and he is incapacitated and unable to do so much. I'm only 20 years old, and dealing with the owners is another lost cause. I've went to the leasing office more than 5 times to address the problem. They said they were going to inspect it from in and out. They just sent one of their maintenance guys to do the spraying. They can't even afford to hire professional exterminators. I'm sick and tired of it. The roaches mostly hang out in the kitchen and they're the German small ones, I've seen them all over the kitchen and cabinets, my dad and I are very clean people so the roaches problem had to be coming from maybe a neighbor. They never conducted a full on investigation. need guidance to know what I must do, moving somewhere else is hard already. I don't if to hire professional exterminators and have them take a look. I'm really lost and frustrated. Please help me some way. Any tips or advice will be much appreciated.

      @@nuttymcmuffin3081 have you controlled it? Sever infestation should take three months. If you have not then you are not finding where they breed. They lay an egg capsule every 4 weeks. In general I igr and bait then replace bait at 2 4 and 8 weeks. Young roaches need fresh bait. Using a lot of bait is not better than using it more often. Roaches do not usually go far. Typically they can find food in a few feet of thier hiding spot. The harder it is for you to get bait there the more likely there are roaches. They love to hide. Third month re apply gentrol. Get paper sticky traps like roach motel or catch master to see how your doing and where the bad spots are. The love fridge motors, plumbing holes, under side of countertops, power adapters, outlets, coffee makers. I have even found them inside of the battery compartment of an electric toothbrush.

    I live in an apartment building and got roaches from our neighbors (confirmed by pest control) We do our best to keep our kitchen spotless but they're relentless and I've worried that it's something we're doing wrong. Apt building's are the worst , do you know if your neighbor is treating them as well - cause if not you will never get rid of them .
      I use to work construction, one job we had to do demolition on the building before new construction starts , man that old building was ALIVE !! They were all in between the walls , some units were over run with them , like open a cabinet door an they would just come running out at you , the space below like the sink counters you know the bottom shelf where you would stuff , the floor was black with roach crap an eggs , We bitched to the Boss an threatened to walk off the job , He finally hired an exterminator on the 3rd day to come in an kill them an vacuum up most of the mess . Once all that mess gets airborne it's causes all kinds of health problems It was disgusting !! The F'ing things got in our work trucks , We were afraid we were taking home with us it was that bad .

      @MannyP I fumigated all my belongings. Nuvan , is a fumigation strip you just put belongings into heavy duty bags the yard waste kind put in a strip and don't move for 6 weeks you can put TV's computers. Books DVD'S pictures and anything you can't wash into bags., wash bedding and clothes on hot dry on hot, use Premise 2 liquid insecticide to do all baseboards in home,

      @Chrisjones-uh1xm Před 2 lety +5

      @MannyP you also tie the bags shut real tight, fumigation will kill any live roaches within a day or so but not egg sacks so that's why don't move for 6 weeks and make sure sealed bags are in a climate controlled area so eggs will hatch, 65 to 85 degrees. Even beds and box springs can be treated put in mattress covers with 1 or 2 strips of nuvan. U can use same night just leave on mattress covers for 6 weeks or so

    First off, if German roaches are in your electronics, they are in your cabinets and appliances as well. The bait may help you but in most cases there are to many other food sources and you cannot get control. The products I would recommend are PI Aerosol to flush them out and Gentrol Complete with the birth control the gentleman speaks about and a residual control as well. However I would not put it all over the carpets, it needs to be put in and behind cabinets and behind appliances. Especially the stove and the fridge. I would also place a product called gentrol point source on the counters. They are growth regulators and thats all. Dead roaches must be swept up daily or the egg capsules will still hatch off of them and it will be a never ending cycle. You will not get rid of them with one treatment. It could take two or three along with cleaning the dead ones. This is 35 years in the business talking to you.

      It’s an aerosol that you can use to flush out roaches and it kills them but it doesn’t have much of a residual. That’s why I recommend the chemical to use with it. You can Google up PI Aerosol and buy it online easily. It’s a bit pricey at around $29 a can but works.

    I live in a massive 400+ unit apartment building, and the entire first floor(where I live) is infested beyond repair. The bones of the building are infested. It doesn't matter how hard we clean the apartment from top to bottom, they just crawl out of the electrical sockets or out of the most miniscule openings in plaster or molding. its like they teleport in. we are 100% surrounded by them and no amount of cleaning or baiting will completely remove them. There will always be a million more in the super structure ready to take their place.
    I need to get the fuck out of here. And will sadly have to throw away a lot of belongings, as they are *inhabited*

Had my computer a week. Fixed the computer and when I bought it home all kinds of german roaches started crawling out. I sprayed the computer and they kept coming! Dude had my computer only for a week! I took the computer outside and took the cover off and outside ALL kinds of roaches were still coming out. (I had sprayed with insecticide) but it was scary. I took it apart literally and roaches were still coming out. Kept spraying and I was lucky that I didn't keep the computer in my house for a long period of time or otherwise I would have had serious serious problems. I did clean the carpet and the entire are that the computer was there to make sure and everything was great. The computer is still outside and once I do another compete cleaning and I know for sure that that it is okay..only then will I bring it inside but its going to spend a couple of days outside. I discovered little black things in our ice maker and finally traced a whole colony just around the machine. Everytime we make ice, little black spots end up in the water. Is it safe to say it's best I throw out the machine? It's a counter top unit that was $100 so not a big purchase. I just hate waste so if I can salvage it, that is preferable. So far I've been using hot water, vinegar solution or straight vinegar to run through some ice making cycles. The specs are getting less and less each cycle. Still, the thought of ingesting bits of roaches gives me the creeps.
    I don't know how adverse ingesting roach particulates is to ones health. I haven't had any ill-side effects since discovering the issue and I've probably been drinking from the ice machine for a good month.

    If i put bait in places the roaches don’t go. Will that bring them there. I want to put bait behind appliances but I know for a fact they haven’t been there. Will bait start bringing them behind my appliances?? I’m positive they have not been behind there and i dont want to lure them to a new home behind fridge and stove. If i put them there. Will they just eat and leave, or possibly settle down in the new area I lured them to? The only place they like is my kitchen in under the sink because of a water rotted board. I want to make sure they are gone before replacing that board. There was a leak and I fixed it, but haven’t replaced under sink board yet.

I don’t want us getting sick from the poop and fumes even if we are able to kill them with these products. Vendetta gel bait has IGR in it and you don't need novacide aerosol. I personally dislike aerosols because it is almost imposable not to breath some in

    • @aarondilley5266
      @aarondilley5266 Před rokem

      @Usman Zaffar I have been using gentrol for 17 years. It works on roaches and anything else that has a gradual metamorphosis like roaches and bed bugs. The aerosol cans have a tube you can get behind cabinets. It is also in some roach baits. In addition to sterilization study show it increased appetite so they eat more bait. I have not had the need to experiment with other IGR for roaches. Novacide contains Pyriproxyfen wich works best on insects with complete metamorphosis such as mosquitoes, flies and fleas. It may have some effect on roaches but generally if you use second best you have to use more wich increase hazard to people. I stick to gentrol and bait because it is the least exposure for people because you should need less.

    • @aarondilley5266
      @aarondilley5266 Před rokem

      @Usman Zaffar none of the stuff is meant for people. German roaches have to be treated sevral times so many chances for exposure. When safty tests are done they only test for acute effects not chronic effects. Friponil has been linked to liver damage, pyrethroids are irritants, I don't know about you but particles of fungal toxin in my lungs dosen't sound like something good long term. Add that to every person is different and reacts differently to substances. George burns live to almost 100 cancer free and smoked every day but we all should know smoking is not good for most people. It's because all our bodies react differently. It is better to be safe especially when you have to use a lot. A simple dust mask and some gloves. A better mask if you use aerosols. You want a mask anyway if your stirring up roaches. Thier particles can get in your lungs and have been linked to asthma. Air,food, water. That's all you want in you body. I recommend safety so does the label.

    • @aarondilley5266
      @aarondilley5266 Před rokem

      @Usman Zaffar boric acid is a borate a vitamin. Anything with a kidney will excrete excess boric acid. Bugs don't have kidneys so they overdose. The problem with boric acid is why would they eat it? It is not food. So boric acid has to be mixed into a food base..this is called bait.. or applied as a powder to where they can not avoid getting in contact with it such as an infested outlet. It is a stomach poison so must be eaten to have an effect. Boric acid is one of the few pesticides allowed in organic food processing . Bait should be used every 2 weeks for german roaches. The only spray I recommend is gentrol wich is a sterilizer use every three months. Possibly two. I don't have one on me to check the label but you don't need it more often if you did it correctly the first time. The bait gets hard or gummy depending on the brand and the young roaches can't eat it. It important to have fresh bait so any new eggs that hatch die before they can leave new eggs. These things take 4 weeks to become adults and 4 more to have an egg with 30-50 nymphs in each capsule. A university study tested killing the roach does not kill the eggs even though they carry them around . So fresh bait and a through search for all the hiding spots. Bait placements should be small like a raindrop or smaller. And they should be everywhere you find roach feces as long as it is a safe place to put bait.

      The label is the law! Just read the label on the product you with to use, baiting is most definitely safe around children because it is out of sight out of mind( don't bait where a small child or curious animal can easily access the bait) and with the spray as shown in the video the label says for anyone not applying they should not re enter that area until chemical is dry.

Novacide is used specifically to treat homes with pets seeing that it targets fleas and ticks. As long as you keep the bait in hard to reach areas, and allow Novacide to completely dry before allowing your pets back into the treated areas, these products should be safe to use in your home.
