LOVE, LOVE , LOVE me some Queensryche ! NEVER again will u hear a voice like this ...sung so clear , crisp & with complete compassion 💓 AWSOME !! ALL his songs 😍
@@93qfmhippyI second that. Just saw them a couple of nights ago and the band was as tight as they have ever been…but w/o Tate it was clearly NOT Queensryche. I give the new kid props for TRYING to fill those shoes, but Tate he is NOT.
Always has been, and always will be, my favorite Ryche song!!! Only ever saw them twice in concert. Promised Land and Hear in the Now Frontier tours. Amazing!!
Right out of the starting gate these guys were awe-inspiring! They were one of the few American bands to really nail that European metal sound. Of course, they gave it their own spin and made it even more awesome! I loved this band so freaking much. I played "The Warning" constantly and I never grew tired of it. Actually, it only gets better with time.
This is before money and prestige got mixed in with their ability of making music .This e.p.is both beautiful and powerful at the same time. They attempted to create this same aura throughout they're careers.
Fucking jamming some ryche in 2020! Love this song! But operation mindcrime is absolutely the best album and looks like a prophecy!!!! RIGHT???? All of it rocks. Geoff come back!
So correct! I was listening to their older stuff s few years ago and thought to myself self as I was reading the lyrics…”WTF?!? they were so far ahead of their time”
saw these guys open up for ac dc in sacremento ca they only had the lp out geoff and chris were like 20 yrs old . ill never forget they rocked so hard. if you saw this show please give a like .
trully ahead of there time back then they have guitar chords i cant play i have small hands preist testament maiden and manny others inspierd me to play ive seen ryche 8 times trully mindbending geoff why did you screw it all up you had it made pal
For all the many years i have listened to and loved this song, I have thought the line went "The Lady wore Black, It's a Sign of the Priestess, high." I like my version better and will continue to listen to it that way.
I always envisioned her as an acolyte of the Ryche Queen, being sent forth into the world to gain the love and adoration of men everywhere she went, but not because of wanting their love or adoration....rather because it was the one way the lady was able to exact her revenge on men everywhere for the horrors she endured in her young life.
256th like.... that's got byte! :-) It would have been better if I had left this comment on NM 156 but I don't think the count was right there....A man can dream... :-/ Cheers
Wrong dude. I saw an interview where Tate claimed he wrote these lyrics while walking home one morning from the studio. The band had already laid down the music. He just needed some lyrics. So as he walked they just came to him and he sang it as he walked.
Saying “Geoff Tate merely sang..” is like saying Steve Vai merely played a string instrument or Les Claypool merely keeps the rhythm bridge between the drums and the string plucker.
Geoff had such an awesome way of painting a visual picture with his voice.
Early queensryche was incredibly poetic
Agreed and honestly there best era of music and wish they kept the style of this album for a few more albums.
Indeed
@@belia1313 All downhill after The Warning, sadly.
The first Queensryche song I ever heard. Love at first listen.
:)
(+_+)
This and Queen of the Ryche when I was in highschool.
Me also. My younger brother had this cassette and I stole it.
This album was epic!!!
This is the song that started it. It was and still is IMO one of the most incredible rock vocals ever.
Such a beautiful song, I still get goosebumps listening to it!!!!!!!
LOVE, LOVE , LOVE me some Queensryche ! NEVER again will u hear a voice like this ...sung so clear , crisp & with complete compassion 💓 AWSOME !! ALL his songs 😍
Best voice Ever.
Good quality, why stop? The awesomeness of Tate's voice and the original Queensryche sound will be around for decades to come.
I Have to agree on that sister.
Cindy, you hit the nail on the head. Queensryche without Tate's voice sucks!

Queensryche was one of the best 80's heavy metal bands to exist. Can't beat the 80's metal
We go way back. Seeing them tomorrow night. Wearing black 😎
1984 rocked!
80's rocked in general....... even pop music was MILES better than today's garbage

My personal favorite Queensryche song. That is never going to change.

3:17 - 4:15, briljant stuk.
Never really payed attention to the lyrics back then lol...
The lady was a vampire
I always envisioned her as an acolyte of the Ryche Queen, being sent forth into the world to gain the love and adoration of men everywhere she went, but not because of wanting their love or adoration....rather because it was the one way the lady was able to exact her revenge on men everywhere for the horrors she endured in her young life.
@@davidsirmons Wow that is very cool idea
Nah she had BPD
queensryche is like talking a bus ride. you didn't go anywhere, but you were taking a journey, but didn't go anywhere.
Peace of shit won't no one else do it.
your comment is like you said something but you didn't say anything
U must be deaf
Ep is super choice. Best seattle band. Sonics don't count, they're Tacoma. Think I'd say some some grungy dirge? Metal Church close second
Josette Collins. Well actually she wore white.
YES Dark Shadows and QUeensryche do good together

Chris Degarmo wrote all the good music.. Geoff Tate merely sang..
