If you like metal/ballad like this a few other good bands/songs(in my opinion ) Manowar: master of the wind Iron maiden: infinite dreams Bruce Dickinson/ Ian Anderson: Jerusalem Rammstein: stein um stein And if you like instrumental music I highly highly recommend Jason Becker, he a remarkable individual as well as remarkable musician.
This song makes me cry cause back when it came out i was just 10 years old and my dad used to have a pare of drumsticks and he used to play to this song on the floor every note perfectly and he got me into these guys and it was the best thing i ever heard for music and here itis 11/30/19 and thinking of him doing it on the carpet note by note just like scott rockenfield my father passed away. In 2005 from alcoholism r.i.p. dad may u hear this song where ever u are Amen

She was killed my sophomore year in high school in a tragic car accident 12/21/96. I know we're only apart in body for now. Sorry about your dad. My dad passed away from alcoholism as well he was the best dad I could ever ask for and an amazing human being.... I relate to you because me and my dad he would do the same with me and my twin brother identical. We would get the drums guitar and just play man. I miss him everyday passed away 10/09-2019 suicide. I try to be the man he was every day. He brought us up on music like this. It makes life so much easier. Your dad is up there watching over you brother. We may all reunite in heaven again one day..... until then brother god bless you and keep living and loving baby

Listening to this band for the first time.. I'm ashamed that I let my pre judgements..prevent me from giving this band a chance. Now I see there are beautiful souls within this band...and some of the songs Im hearing reflect the emotional pain I myself have tried to hide for so long. Queensryche.. I saw these guys open for Metallica when I was still in high school... Peoria Civic Center Illinois.. age 48 now but I still remember how they blew the fuckin doors off of Metallica's performance. . Fan 4 life.

Queensryche the best progressive metal band of all time. When I heard them for the first time I was 13 or 14. How often did I come home from parties at night in the following years to listen to these CDs (Warning, RageForOrder, OperationMindcrime, Empire) before going to sleep. The dream lives forever. A reunion with Geoff Tate and Chris DeGarmo in addition to today's line-up. SilentLucidity or TakeHoldOfTheFlame are still the highlights at today's concerts.
Queensryche's playing was superb. This song in particular is just amazing. Outstanding vocals, great double guitars, great bass work, and excellent drumming. Top notch for sure.

I remember going to see Queensrÿche the first time with my frind that was a rock radio station program director in O.C. She got the package with a few demo "cassette tapes" and free tickets for a show at a small local venue. She called me at my job with JBL/HK and played the demo "cassette tape" over the phone for me to see if we wanted to go see them or not. Thank God we decided to use those tickets to go see this "different sounding" band. During the drive we mostly discussed how to pronounce the band's name and what it meant, if anything. We actually thought they were British! LOL Needless to say the show was fantastic! Geoff Tate's voice and his range was unbelievable. The band was great and very professional. They put on a great performance. On Monday my friend was pushing hard to play their demo on a late night local band show for unsigned bands of a wide variety. I don't remember if they played that tape or not. I was out of her stations range to hear the station at all and it was a long time ago. I remember seeing them again a few years later. I remember both of us saying that Queensrÿche sounded better live than on their studio record. I was so fortunate to have been young and in the music industry during the 80s and 90s. I no longer see too many poking fun at the 80s music. Although I do see some about fashion and the hair, the BIG hair!

Loved them at bikeweek in leesburg. My father 65 loved the too. When he passed the funeral home asked if we had music we wanted to hear. With not even a thought i handed them RAGE FOR ORDER. 20+ sheriffs ( he was one), army honor guard, family, friends and queensryche in the back round. ONE GREAT SEND OFF. Peace dad and ROCK ON.
