Mad respect to the guy convincing the organisers that "feck" was a clean word 😂
And shag, drugs and lesbian references. When I came across this channel concept I thought - 'they'll have trouble finding an Irish comedian.' I guess they found one who totally lied to them about the content of his set! 🤣
Rightttt😂🤣😂
LynxChan ooOoOO Lynxie!
I thut ITwas fAk... iym veery upset now doancha Know!!
@@justdefacts Mentioning lesbians being taboo would do a real feckin bigoted disservice to the cause though
It's feckless or fecklessness 😎😁
GET THIS MAN A NETFLIX SPECIAL ✨✨✨✨
"Yeea why not, go on"
He's got an Amazon special
Thank feck lol
Absolutely
A M E N!!!!!!
Irishman in a dry bar.... That was the *FIRST* joke 😂🤣😭
Thank you. I was wondering what I had missed
Jonathan Eastman - that was very funny 😄
😂😂🤣🤣
That was the first joke. And rightly so. 😂
🤣
He killed me at describing kite surfing as acting like a "Red-bull sponsored extreme Jesus" 🤣😂
I couldn't fecking breathe
That one had me howling. 😂
That was his best line. Absolute cracker.
I had to have a weed cookie after that one.
And everything is true :)
He has a skill for making cultural differences hilarious without any negativity. He is funny because its true lol
When he was talking about the US getting slaves to pick produce, I could hear the audience thinking, "I didn't get slaves. Maybe whites back then but I didnt." Provo people are sick of being blamed for what their great, great, great, great, grandfather might have done.
@@brett4264 Nonetheless, they are pretty good at it. When I visited the US with my father (we are German), he got comments about Hitler and being a Nazi. He shot back with a comment about how their slaves are. Made them silence but it was just so annoying. We got such comments not only once. So, US people better tolerate such jokes as some of them comment those things in a more aggressive way themselves.
Uhhhhh no you except criticism better from someone who looks like you
@@brett4264 Oh really? Because I heard them laugh, as did I (white guy). It's so hard to be friends with the guy who can't take a joke. Comedians usually have self deprecating jokes, including their culture/fam and it's easy to laugh that those, but you can't handle it when the spot light is on you? Most hate it when the minority group laughs it up until the comedians jokes about them, and then the minority group writes blogs etc. You are being that person! Everyone knows white people aren't slave owners today, including him. Who cares? Fragile snowflakes, we have become.
@@brett4264 he never blamed anyone tho, he just mentioned white guilt - where people feel bad for what their ancestors did (again, _not_ being blamed for it). And he explained he doesn’t have white guilt despite being white, because his ancestors didn’t have slaves in Ireland.
I still love the fact that his mother is technically married to his Father's dead sister. That story just cracked me up
Not just the first lesbian marriage, she's also the first lesbian widow in Ireland.
@@user-fl8yv7rz6f brutal 😂
I quite liked the description of the dead family member you never knew about, and that not being the central part of the story. It does happen.
"We don't even have china town in Ireland, we let them live with us" genius 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
Tbh I don't quite get that one. Does he mean "live with us" generally (like all groups here live in their own groups, but technically together) or that we intermarry?
@@pn5721both
@pn5721 I think he meant they have no "ghettoization area for the Chinese dating back to the time before and during the Chinese Exclusion Act.
I'm Scottish, Irish and French raised in Canada, my family consists of having all 4 accents at the same time. My voice is hysterical to basically anyone.
Similar, and Potawatomi, but mostly Irish. Lmao, thankfully I learned to mimic others vocal patterns. Weirdly, I occasionally get stuck with a southern accent.
I appreciate you mofos(same background other than the French and who knows may be heh). Love that accent mix
Great show bro!
I want to meet you and your family so bad.
@@weronikamichta4261 Haha, if you get the chance to come to Ontario 😂
This guy is phenomenal. Bring him back often.
Thanks a million for the very kind words!
Agreeee!!
Agree! Very funny! I come from O'learys and greenans so the humor is what i grew up with. He is hysterical!
Being an immigrant myself I must say I felt the same with my interview questions... so easy!
And he nailed the comparisons between his native 🇮🇪 and the 🇺🇸. I'd love to hear his take on 🇨🇦 (my native land). I laughed continuously through this.
That's what I was gonna say !!
Very bright guy, very casual, and yet he has the best delivery/timing.
I had my naturalisation interview last April! And guess what, I got "George Washington was the first President" and "Who was the first President?" for reading and comprehension! Needless to say, I passed :)
@@luvour_8128 Thank you!!
I'm African-American and my great great grandmother was Irish. She and my GGGrandfather were chased out of their Louisiana town for being married and he was eventually killed, but our family is huge now, and we still have lighter Irish looking cousins today!
So sad they fell in love and couldn’t just be together and live their own lives.
Why do you identify as African American if you're part Irish?
@@brett4264 because it was my grandfather's grandmother, so a long time ago
If you were from Carolina, we could be kin!
@@fpcooper95 and if you wanted to embrace your irish heritage you would be welcomed with open irish arms. (From an irishman) :)
Never heard of Dave Nihill, but he just made my top 5 of all time comedian list. Please come and perform in Oahu Hawaii, I will be front table.
Thanks a million for the kind words and just added to the destination list :)
@@davidnihill1 I laughed so hard David. Loved every moment hope I see you in Cali!
Dude, that line "i'm a spanish speaking imigrant" is simply genious, how come no one cracked? i mean, that'sDave Chapelle level set up
You mad cause you guys don't have a super hero?
just without the transphobia hopefully
@@daimhinaubrey3194 If trans people truly want equality but still want to be a protected class that can't be made fun of like the majority, it's a bit hypocritical. He was good friends with a trans person who came to all his specials. I think that person passed. Doesn't seem to have hateful jokes.
@@Brian-uq4wu that trans person killed herself after the lgbtq community attacked her nonstop for being friends with Chappelle and supporting his comedy. Go figure.
@@Jajajajaja...1 yeah welcome to 2022. It's terrible to be a bully, unless you're a bully with minority status. Ideally the LGB people
This might have been the best comedian I've seen on here.
He's right - I got my DNA and I'm 30% Irish! Had no idea. Love the accent! The cultural jokes are brilliant!!
"I became a vegan honestly I don't have the energy to walk but spiritually I can flyyyy... "
😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
This guy is just a huge breath of fresh air! What a great set, delivery, timing and atmosphere! This material can stand with the best of them, and dare I say, even better!
An Irish comedian at a dry bar? Now that IS hilarious. He had me chortling.
"You can't just go all Bruce Jenner on our patron saint" 🤣🤣
I agree, how is that not appropriation or something similar 😂
EXCELLENT... NON-STOP LAUGHTER! Good timing, good material... loved it!
Thanks a million. Kind words much appreciated.
"I'm like 17% irish. This whole time i thought I was a filipino."
This caught me offguard but like, he's not wrong. Instant like.
In AA meetings in SF we had numerous Irish folks - we called 'em spuds. Good times, even better jokes!!
Got my wife to laugh. She and I don’t often have the same taste. Very funny. Universal appeal
Late to the party, only discovered this fella the passed few weeks... total legend mostly because every Irish joke he makes I totally agree with as a fellow Paddy!
Keep her lit! Fair play!
Don't you mean "a fellow Patty"?
So you got the algorithm too. Who'd thought.
“I don’t have the energy to walk, but spiritually, I can fly.”
This man is a gem.
Laughed out loud the whole time. These DryBar comedians are the best.
They really are. I love listening to them.
Agree. Humor at its best
Thank you for letting him do a show. It was awesome as feck
When my Irish protestant aunt married an Irish catholic it was considered a mixed marriage and the bride's father threatened not to attend her wedding to a "dirty Mick".
The same thing happened in my family too.
@@wendytimms4515 Sounds unbelievable today!
@@baronesselsavonfreytag-lor1134 you'd be surprised
what? thats wild
Dirty mick?
Lol I totally get this! I’m from Belfast living in San Diego & I did my citizenship exam during the week.. my writing test was to write: flag day is in June.
My reading test was to read:
flag day is in June 😂😂😂
Hope he comes to San Diego
Welcome to the USA 🇺🇸!
I'm irish! I could listen to this guy all day! Not only is he hilarious, but the accent is killer!💜🙌🏼🙌🏼
He was spot on with his observations. He should have a much longer set!
Davy: Great humor is always the truth. We laugh at ourselves because we recognize the truth.
We so need the humor today.
apart from the whole 'not knowing anything about Irish slavery' thing
Wickedly Funny + handsome Irishman = 💯 good!
Actually laughing out loud, oh my goodness 🤣 Woke as feck, so am I🤣
This guy is HILARIOUS!!! Good social commentary, and love the Irish accent.
I was always told I was of German background, but I recently had a 23 and Me done... and I'm 45.3% Irish, and 45% German lol
Same. I was told I was Swedish and Spanish. Turns out I’m mostly Irish.
7 out of 8 of my great grandparents claim Irish descent. Turns out I’m 42% SCOTTISH. 🤣🤣 No idea who is truly Scottish.
Commercially available DNA tests are notoriously flawed.
@@billschlafly4107 true but when I told my family my aunt said “ you didn’t know you were Irish?” Then went into some family history. The funny part of saying where from Ireland “I’m from” said you still have relatives in Ireland. Ya like my last name isn’t a common one lol
@@billschlafly4107 so clinically done. Q-tip, swab inside mouth, fill out form with as much info as possible, put in mailbox, in 2 weeks you get % of Irish descent & a list of locals you never knew you were related to. I asked friend if I ate rare steak before swabbing, would it show my bovine relatives? Lmao.
That gesture he does after a joke where he puts out his hand, palm facing up, raises his eyebrows and turns down the corners of his mouth is the universal gesture for "I have no clue"...lol
Irish people are the best story teller 😂
Not sure why I liked this so much. Maybe it's the 17% Irish inside of me.
That will do it
😂😂😂
🤣🤣
Irish whiskey?
Oh my Gosh. For real. The funniest I've heard on dry bar in a MINUTE!!! "Did you just drop an f bomb? Your people blew up Japan!"
Twice.
He shoulda said Your people dropped an H bomb
@@Alex-pr6zv
Only it were A-bombs.
i have been watching old Dave Allen skits and bits, and then boom, the AI decided to diversify my Irish portfolio with this absolute Genius..... love him, brilliant
Dave just jumped into my top 10 Dry Bar acts ✨
I don't have a lick of Irish blood in me, but I love their humour!
Refreshing comedy. Funny and consistent.
This guy is really good he need a big netflix special
This guy is brilliant! Nice clean jokes and hilarious as FECK!

I know we Irish are funny but, this guy really puts it over the top!. 👍😂😂😂😂😂
The way he says, "I don't have any white guilt" had me dying 🤣🤣 like it sounded TOO Irish
Never heard of Dave before catching this-this guy is a genius. Haven't laughed this hard in a while. Thanks Dave!!! Hope you perform in NY soon so I can bring my friends to see you.
Oh man. I have just been watching him give a talk on public speaking and watching this special confirms to me he is everything he appeared to be. What a great guy
This guy deserved a better audience.
don't drink coffee and watch this at the same time, you will spit it out LOL great stuff
"like some modern day Red Bull sponsored extreme Jesus" got me rolling on the floor!!!! so good
Honestly I don't have energy to walk, but spiritually I can fly 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The impression of the Coachella burning man girl was perfection!
Finally!! I've been waiting for this full special for like a year!
Based on the previous snippets alone, I knew he would be one of the best in Dry Bar. And he did not disappoint. :)
Laughed so hard it made me wanna move to Ireland 😂
Just saw this guy last night at The Parkway Theater in Minneapolis. He is even funnier in person! Great show!
My stomach hurts 😂😂😂 He is soooooo funny!!!
Happy St. Paddy's day!
I just found out in a local NZ feature that 20% of Kiwis can trace their ancestry back to Ireland, so he wasn't lying when he said they shag their way into all our family trees. 😂
Made my day and week. After Bill Burr, this guy got me crying from laughter. God Bless the Irish
Great set! I totally agree with the "unnecessary activities." I feel the same way about camping. "My grandparents didn't cross the Atlantic in steerage so I could freeze to death in the woods."
I LOVE THIS MAN!! I truly believe he could help us with all our BS fighting against each other in this country. I really wish we could just get back to sitting down and just working on finding solutions we can all agree on. What we're doing now is going no where and solving nothing. I'm not blaming either side, I'm just saying I'm tired.
It's been a while since DryBar was this funny! 🤣 Thank you!
Yes, I am also "Irish", but a bit more than the 17%. Loved your program and will look for other examples of your wonderful sense of humor.
Oh Dry bar! I can't go to sleep anymore without a marathon of those gems you bring up on stage!
Easily one of the funniest comedians, that thing about the pigeon tattoo was HILARIOUS
Ok I am feeling so attacked. Lol
I was raised believing my grandma was half Choctaw. Did the DNA test. Turns out I'm mostly Irish. Like 85 percent.
I absolutely lost it at this Bahahahahahahha because a similar thing happened to my friend they thought they were mostly spanish
I mean, your grandmother could still be Choctaw with those numbers. at most, you would be 1/16 Choctaw, which would sit around 10 to 20 percent of your genealogy
this guy is a complete madlad. respect.
Saw him live in DC! So freaking good, I would totally see the same show again! Wicked funny; as many self-referential throwbacks as TeneT o_0. Neat crowd work, insane precision in the Spanish jokes, approachable after the show for photos :D !
Every immigrant wants to be the last one. "Phew! I made it! Now close the darn gates. We don't want any of those cretins getting in here."
Amazing! I just found out that I have Irish blood in me, and I come across David. Thank you! And thank you for explaining a sketchy word I'd heard several years ago from the Mom in Mrs. Brown's Boys. Whatever it's "real" meaning, this is great material! Thank you!
I love his style! He's hilarious and makes the most laid back yet incredibly direct social commentary. Can't wait to see more!
Love this guy!! He is hilarious! Can’t wait to see him again!!
I wheezed so hard like a drunk Irishman. Too fecking hilarious. Almost choked to death at the whole kite surfing bit.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍
I love his imitation of the American accent.
O dear!!!! That was one of the funniest stand ups I've watched 😂😂😂😂 you must be kidding me bro! Where did you find this guy
He might have a point! I knew I was Swiss, German and Portuguese but bloody Irish (21%).... that was a surprise! That might explain why I love Ireland so much!
I do love this guy! He's one of the funniest comedians ever! I follow him oh IG and YT and know these jokes by memory - still happy to watch and laughing. That's how you know a comedian is extremely funny 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
First time ive heard of him. I love him hes absolutely hilarious.🤣🤣🤣
He created the moment of "I would definitely want to see more, mutch more!" Vibe... Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very solid comedy!! I almost choked while eating and watching this
Loved him. Need more of this comedian 😍🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious! I’LL DATE YOU DAVE!! I lived in Ireland for 7 years… totally get the humor!!
Definitely one of the better dry bar comedians. Loved it
Absolutely phenomenal 🤩🤩🤩 high class hilarity at it's finest form ❣🙌🙌🙌
This is my new Dry Bar favorite,,,and that closing - I could not stop laughing!
I haven't laughed this much in a very long time!!!!
he needs a second special. one of the best ever at Dry Bar.
My new favorite comedian
I haven't had a drink since 2013, but I always thought day and night drinking were stupid.
Congratulations on your sobriety! It's not easy and 2013! Wow!
Hilarious!!! Glad I came across this guy.
Oh he's so damned funny! One of the best I've ever seen on Dry Bar!! So enjoyable!!
First spotted this guy on Tiktok, been a fan of his for years, nice to see him on the drybar stage
Hilarious!!! There are lots and lots Filipino Irish mix,. I can relate, specially the drinking. .
So good! I’m crying here. Hysterical 👍
The fact that every time I laugh at the “don’t know if he was trying to get out of it” and the “he had a dead sister named Patricia” tells me I would have singled myself out in the audience.
I laughed my head off 😂😂😂😂 and get this NO PROFANITY!!! I used to be a huge fan of George Carlin and Richard Pryor now I look back and think how short their act would be without all the profanity.
David Nihil, you are a blessing upon this country🎉
