College football ratings doesn’t or shouldn’t matter to fans! . What are you talking about?. Do you think that recruits would be more interested in showcasing their skills in-front of larger or smaller audiences? Players themselves are brands now that they can get paid. Pretty sure programs that draw higher viewership will be the bigger winners in the years to come as players want eyeballs. In fact, I’d be surprised if recruits aren’t already being told we averaged the 2nd most viewers during the ‘23 season. Just to be clear the top 10 is as follows:
    Ohio State - 5.55M
    Alabama - 5.08M
    Michigan - 4.78M
    Colorado - 4.50M
    Georgia - 3.95M
    Texas - 3.61M
    Florida State - 3.58M
    Notre Dame - 3.46M
    Penn State - 3.31M
    LSU - 2.85M

College Football needs to stop putting marque post season games on cable. One of the reasons the NFL is so popular is because they play on network TV (with the exception of Monday/Thursday night now). It's no shocker when looking into the data to see that other than postseason matchups, college footballs most watched games are all on network TV.
The National Championship also needs to be on either Friday or Saturday night, not Monday night. Superbowl parties are thing because the majority of people don't work Sunday so they have the time to get together and the game ends at a decent time. Putting your National Championship on cable on Monday night when people have work in the morning and the game doesn't get over until late is foolishness.

College football has to play nice with the nfl if they want to be successful. They have a 10 to 1 viewer advantage over cfb and the huge roster turnover with new transfers every year isnt going to help with viewership. Also, once college football stops developing players because they see no point since they transfer anyway, the nfl may just as well start a minor league to develop players which would likely drastically alter what college football looks like

Don't you know that college football played right into the hands of the NFL when that playoff committee omitted an undefeated conference power champion for two one loss teams, one of which lost to a 16th ranked team..? The NFL laughs at college football because they showed more amateurism than anyone could have expected this past winter. If college football wanted die hard NFL fans to respect it, FSU would've been in the final 4 this past season. Now college football wants to go head on with the NFL. What fools. What a clown 🤡 show. ESPN and their clown show took a great sport and regressed it some 30 years. And your mental state is so far gone you think you are going head to head with the NFL when you're showing "playoff" games and the NFL is showing regular season games. You know what, maybe the NFL should take after college football. Maybe the NFL should have ESPN get 13 of their people and host a committee on who they think should make their playoffs. What a joke. A selection committee of idiots ruining the game, and who selected them?
