All the farmhouse style here in the states is driving me bonkers. I was highly attracted to a vintage/antiques version of it in 1997 - 2000. Imagine how tired I am of it now?
In fact, w the internet and all the DIY + YouTubing, + IG'ing of regular folks, some of whom are really gifted, the farmhouse look has gone over the falls, been bashed on the rocks below and is staying under clear, green water, for me, for now.

Love this! There are a few things I would have done differently, but it's great to see that you can make open shelves full of non-decorative everyday items look good. Way more realistic than just having a vase and a Tom Ford book in there.

Way too much white. There's a reason why all-white kitchens with all-white appliances and decor have gone out of style.
There's a reason why people wear sunglasses in snow sports.
There's a difference between light & airy vs. cold, clinical, and snow-blindness inducing.
Not trying to be mean, but she just went too far with the bright white---especially for a family room.
@denizdenakaplan3481. Yep. Lots of white means the Kool Aid, the sodas, the snacks are banned. I can't see the teenagers coming back from soccer or a bike ride getting any chance to loiter in the room without a proper shower and change of clothes first.
I like the white updates on the bookcases and the side table, and I really love the center table, but the old wall color or a solid salmon color looked better. It’s too white for my tastes. Too much white and things begin to look like a hospital, and are no longer inviting. I know I’m in the minority, and this isn’t meant as criticism, just as a different point of view.❤️🤗🐝

When she was painting the walls it looked like more primer. I couldn't see the difference.
When tables, chairs, shelves, and most of the decor is white, painting the walls white is just too much.
I'm glad she didn't paint the inside of the bookcases white, but still....spending time in that room would make you feel like you were going snow blind.
A tint of color on the walls would make the room warm and inviting, and changing a few primer-white decor pieces to color ones would add a lot more interest.
@@JamieM470 I was surprised she chose the bland white instead of the warmer tone she sampled.
@@JamieM470 painting the inside of the shelving with a bold, bright colour could have looked stunning with the right choice
