Trying to learn about Australia:
Housing is much more $$$ than in the states ($400-$500,000 US vs $944,000 AU).
Cost of living is higher, too.
And, there ARE the snakes (in charming Queensland? :( yikes)
BUT, one is safer, one's children are safer, from mass shooters (way less guns).
The climate is a gardener's dream -- just look, it's as green as Ireland (not in the bush maybe).
Tons of subtropical plants; loads of coastline.
Desert + coastal + rainforest?
Bunnings Warehouse! Tasmanian oak! (Eucalyptus?) New Zealand looks marvelous, too. NSW, ahhh. A lovely, lovely part of the world.
