  • I finally made the proper time lapse with the Sun/Moon correctly oriented ( I got several comments about that in the raw footage video and was expecting that ). There's planes, Prominences, Magnetic Field Lines and even Black Drop Effects from the Lunar Terrain!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Equipment used:
    SW EQ6r-pro Mount ( polar aligned before dawn )
    SW Quattro 200p ( F/4 ) Telescope at Prime Focus
    Meade 950 Solar Filter
    Canon T6i camera w/ 1x F/4 Coma Corrector
    Video recorded in raw mode and manually focused using sunspots prior to recording.
    Post Processing done with Camtasia and Aiseesoft.

    the moon stopped when it meets the sun, that makes not sense

    • @kyzercube
      @kyzercube  Před 23 dny

      You can see the prominences at the top and top left disappearing while the very large prominence at the bottom becoming more visible. I have a gif ( inverted image ) clearly showing the Moon's motion during totality here:
      drive.google.com/file/d/1YLwHhcydSLKAO3udkPehwYBIIxwqCC2m/view
      Also at 1:21 you can clearly see the motion relative to the prominence. Get some glasses.

      @khaled-ahmed29" _if something cover light it would be visible before then it would move slightly not stop , then it shouldn,t show circle of light_ " It's plainly obvious that English is not your native language. Can you revise this into something that's actually coherent?
      It is the Moon. There are 2 ways to prove it's the Moon too.
      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      1: The fact that eclipses are predicted down to the second in time and to the square foot of space. This is done using Kepler/Newton models and even further refined with the Field Equations of General Relativity. Solar and Lunar eclipses have been successfully predictable with 100% accuracy for the last 350 years because of the perfection of mapping out planetary motion. We will know exactly when and where any Solar or Lunar eclipse will occur with 100% accuracy for the next 10,000 years easily. No matter what you believe, you will never escape the power of prediction when measuring the physical world.
      2: There are 1000s of amateur astronomers that have taken OVER-exposures of a total eclipse to reveal the Earthshine on the Moon showing a Full Moon, during the New Moon phase. I actually tried to do this during this eclipse, but my camera's ISO at the time was too low so it could not capture enough light even at maximum exposure and I didn't have time to change ISO settings. However I'll leave you with just a few examples out of 1000s of Earthshine Moon images from Total Solar Eclipses here made by amateur astronomers around the world:
      esplaobs.blogspot.com/2017/08/total-solar-eclipse-earthshine-taken-by.html

      www.eclipsechaser.com/eclink/image/total94.htm
      Heck even a Flerfer accidently debunked himself by taking a high exposure pic of the TSE and showed the Moon. 🤣What a moron!

    Oh this is absolutely gorgeous! Out of all the eclipse timelapses i've seen out there, this is one of the best! It's so smooth and camera adjustments are barely noticeable unless you look hard enough, and there's also that rainbow-like gradient on the diffraction spikes - not the same, but reminds me of this rainbow "ring" that forms right before C2 (diamond ring). Seeing that in person was mindboggling, and i haven't been able to find any videos out there that have something even remotely similar to the in-person experience. This is so well made.

    Nice work. I rented a 800mm lens and didn’t get this far. Did you zoom in during totality or was that your editing and cropping here? Even if it’s the latter that is really good resolution

    • @kyzercube
      @kyzercube  Před měsícem +2

      The zoom in's were post processing. Everything was recorded via Prime Focus with a 200mm, F/4 reflector telescope attached to a DSLR camera. It was recorded on RAW video setting. I can't remember what that resolution is for the camera but it's very high, close to 8K so I knew I could afford some digital zoom w/o any " blocks " issues.

      I bet you could figure out the timestamp for the points of contact
      using Stellarium on the PC.
      In mine I had time and date turned ON for each frame.
      The kicker for me was the Galaxy S23 Ultra was crashing out of Camera app every couple of frames.
      Had a Solar Filter taped to the back of the phone so could not capture totality with the phone.
      Also the tripod was broken, and wobbly causing all the random issues with the phone.

      @@Geoffr524 Stellarium is great for a bunch of different things. I use it a lot for satellite tracking like Iridium flares and the ISS along side a secondary telemetry chart, but for solar and lunar eclipses nothing beats the xjubier website data. It's on par with NASA's eclipse site but a little more user friendly with an interactive map. Both are great but I'm quite impressed at the dedication the folks at xjubier put into making this data available with such fine details. xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/solar_eclipses/TSE_2024_GoogleMapFull.html

    Now isn't it much easier on your eyes to watch this from a screen instead of practically burning your eyes with the sun?
    Edit: ignore this comment, it was kinda stupid

    • @kyzercube
      @kyzercube  Před měsícem

      I never burned my eyes with the Sun. That's what the Moon is for. Also it looks completely different IRL. You get a wide angle view without the camera glare of the wide angle view, hence how you can see the prominences with the naked eye, but a WAV camera can never pick them up.
      A camera also will not pick up the shadow bands fully.... EVER. A few have gotten small glimpses of them on camera but they do the real deal no justice at all.
      Ofc there's also the fact that I can't watch this video without me making it first 🤣You're silly.

      @@eftscreenshotter8817 I stared directly at it for quite some time when it was eclipsed, hence me in the non-time lapsed video talking to other people about the naked eye visible prominences and the increasing view of the corona expanding as our eyes are adjusting. Video in real time with audio reference here: czcams.com/video/LKn_KpHCljc/video.html
      I've never heard of anyone having a ring in their vision for long periods of time watching a TSE. During totality, it's so dark, you have zero eye squint.
      You can look at it eyes wide open without any natural " squint " reaction. The corona is no brighter than a soft white house LED light under a lamp shade, and the prominences are no brighter than a candle or cigarette lighter.
