Is SubmitHub worth it? Tips to get more approvals.

- Hey guys, all DIY musicians. I've been using submithub for the last few years and I wanted to share a few thoughts with you. Also since I started being a curator I understood a few things that can possibly improve your submissions and hopefully give you more approvals there.

Hey Simona! Oh yes, I think this is unavoidable to get rejections, but at the end of the day, I think with a smaller budget it's a good place to get some PR rather than spending tons of money on PR agency. And thank you :)!
And one more important thing! These rejections don't mean much, the most important is what your fans think!

And by the way, that synthesizer part, lol, so funny and so true. Last time I submitted something to submit hub, they did say something about that and also, the choice in the melodies. I mean, we are artists and we have our own vision, so why would anyone criticise us on a choice in our own songs. So with you on that! 😄
@@simonavalentinamusic hahahaha yeah that is so true, the thing is Submithub kind of require from curators to give you something specific if you choose feedback option. I believe it’s because some artists complain about feedback to Submithub. That’s why I suggest choosing feedback is less important or just 90 seconds, unless someone wants feedback but I guess feedback may have sense if you submit to labels but blogs... it’s better to use some Facebook groups for that.
I know it's kinda out of context but I saw the whole vid , when I came back up after reading comments , I saw this video has 250views , the quality of the video tells me otherwise , you deserve more subs !!! 🥂

Do you think you can submit a song too early? My bands new single releases May 14th and I'm eager to submit to some blogs and playlists but I'm afraid it might be too far away and they'll decline.
Definitely not! You have a little bit longer than a month now. Curators mostly require at least 2 weeks in advance, so a month will just give them a bit more time to prepare your review and it's more likely that they will be able to share a review on the day of your release (or at least the same week). As soon as they accept your song, it lands in their approved column (in case you're worried they will forget). I wouldn't worry about 'too early', a month is a very reasonable time in my opinion.
I personally want the feedback. I like to make them do the work. Sometimes it can be helpful or encouraging and you can always ignore it, but make them put forth the effort!
