Honestly this is one of the cases were it is damn sad that a lot of German/European movies don't seem to make it to the American/International market.
People miss out on a LOT of good quality stuff and I doubt Germans would still have that cliche of having no sense of humor if more people would see stuff like the Werner movies ^^

The name "Biernot" could be translated as "Beer urge", and obviously, drinking canned beer appears to be his main hobby...
1:52 - actually, the "Feudel" she accidentally washed down is not a condom but the floorcloth.
2:36 - I seriously doubt this translation is authentic.
Luckily, the pictures speak for themself. The translation is alright, but it could've been a lot better
I guess the translator didn't know what "Feudel" means and just went with what is seen clogging the pipe... and contrary to her words that item IS a condom.
I hope you have the opportunity to watch the whole movie some time ^.^

As someone who has been working in the trades, Lehrjahre sind keine Herrenjahre ( aprentice years aren´t Lord years) are a life documentary.
Well you can't easily translate phrases like ours into English. I think most people will not understand what " Apprentice/ Lord years" means.

Mein vater hat mir Werner gezeigt als ich ungefähr 10 Jahre alt war.. diese art von humor hat mich nachhaltig geprägt und ist bis heute unübertroffen
i love the Werner films. As german i have to say: Do "Braver Lumpi"!!!!! Maybe the best scene in Werner movies (a little bit disturbing but great). The subtitles are a problem, but you don´t need them to understand what is happen..

if you drink beer with your friends, we say "Prost" in germany. the translation is cheers.
but in the Werner-Movie, they say "Hau weg die Scheiße". the translation may be "get rid of that shit."
so if you´re going to visit north of germany, at the north sea, and you´re in a bar or pub, order a beer and say "hau weg die scheiße". you´ll find a lot of friends.
