The voice speaking in the middle, is the infamous Vincent Price 1911 - 1993.
He appeared on stage, television, and radio, and in more than 100 films. Mostly known for acting in horror movies in the 1950's. He also does the maniacal laugh at the end of the song/video.

John Landis was a movie director. Michael loved his movie Werewolf in London and asked John to direct this music video because Michael wanted a short horror film. Michael LOVED horror movies which is also why he had Vincent Price do that rap in the middle because Vincent was known for his horror movies that I put in another comment.

Probably his most iconic short film. This was so groundbreaking at the time it was released, most of us 50+ remember exactly where we were the first time we saw it. It was like a little horror movie musical. Incredible at the time and it sent his career into the stratosphere.

Haha great reaction. They had great chemistry and that added to the short film. MJ could act really well also. The practical effects still hold up today 40 years later. Especially the zombies. Now imagine seeing this for the first time all those years ago... that's why his impact is still unsurpassable. Miss him. Absolute legend.

The world's best musician and dancer Michael Jackson. His style of dancing and singing music never seems childish. He always sang music in deep voice, so his songs are hit and catchy. Moreover he always wrote teachable music. He was the only person in the world who performed dance-music together in front of live audience. May her soul rest in peace™🇧🇩🎵🎧🇧🇩

"...my girl" has been a way to express that you're dating someone long before this video. For one, this part of the video is set in the mid 1950s, and that was common vernacular. Most notably, in 1965 the Temptations had a major hit with "My Girl".

A very thrilling reaction 🐺🧟‍♂🧟‍♀🌕! Don't be scared lol 😁. That leather jacket is iconic- everybody wanted one back then. The choreography was dope 🧟‍♂🧟‍♀💃🏾🕺🏾! John Landis is a movie director (Trading Places, The Blues Brothers, Animal House, Beverly Hills Cop III, American Werewolf In London, Coming To America) and actor.
I see 👁👁 that you have reacted to Michael Jackson before: Ed Sullivan Show Jackson 5 medley (Stand!, Who's Loving You & I Want You Back), Got To Be There, Dancing Machine- Live, Show You The Way To Go, Jam, You Rock My World, Billie Jean, Billie Jean- Live Motown 25, Remember The Time, Remember The Time- Live, Human Nature- Live, Man In The Mirror, Smooth Criminal- Live, Blame It On The Boogie, All I Do Is Think Of You- Live, Dangerous- Live, Michael Jackson w/ James Brown at 2003 BET Awards Live, Dirty Diana, Say Say Say, All In Your Name, Rock With You, Show You The Way To Go, The Love You Save (Ed Sullivan Show), They Don’t Care About Us (Brazil Version), Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel, Black Or White, ABC- Live and Scream w/ Janet Jackson.
Thriller was released as the seventh single of off Michael Jackson's 1982 album: Thriller. It was written by Rod Temperton. It was produced by Quincy Jones. The song reached #3 on the R&B chart, #4 on the Hot 100, #4 on the Cash Box 100 and #24 on the Adult Contemporary chart. In 1984 at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards, the song: "Thriller", won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance Male. The song has returned to the Billboard Hot 100 chart multiple times since its initial release due to its popularity around the time of Halloween.
The music video was directed by John Landis and featured actress/Playboy Bunny model Ola Ray as Michael Jackson's love interest. Also appearing the music video were actor Michael DeLorenzo, actor Reed Armstrong, actor Miko Brando, actor Forrest J Ackerman, actor Greg Cannon and actor Tony Fields. Actor Vincent Price did the voiceover talking part. Vincent Price took a $20,000 payment over a percentage of the song thus losing out on millions of dollars in the process. Michael Peters choreographed the music video. The special makeup effects were created by Rick Baker (who plays the zombie whose arm falls off in the graveyard sequence). Rick Baker was the first Academy Award winner in the Best Make-Up category for his work in An American Werewolf in London (1981).
Before the 14-minute short film of Thriller aired on Showtime or MTV, it was screened at the Metro Crest Theater in Los Angeles. This screening took place on November 14, 1983 and drew a gathering of stars, including Diana Ross and Eddie Murphy. The opening music video title card: “Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that this film in no way endorses a belief in the occult”, was inserted due to Michael Jackson’s Jehovah’s Witness faith.
The music video was a cultural milestone, introducing elaborate choreography, costumes and dialogue into the format. It also introduced the concept of the long-form music video, where a mini-movie was made for a song, then edited down for the short version. The long version of "Thriller" runs nearly 14 minutes, but had remarkable longevity, easily racking up over 100 million views when it showed up on CZcams. MTV usually ran the short version, which ran a little under five minutes but still contained about a minute of non-song content in a storyline that omits most of the movie the couple is watching at the beginning.
The music video cost half-a-million dollars; at the time, it was the most expensive video ever made. But CBS Records wouldn’t pay for a third video from Thriller, and MTV had a policy of never paying for clips. Michael Jackson and John Landis funded their budget by getting MTV and Showtime to pay $250,000 each for the rights to show the 45-minute The Making of “Thriller.” (MTV reasoned that if they were paying for a movie, they were circumventing their own policy.) John Landis nicknamed "The Making Of Michael Jackson's Thriller" documentary: "The Making Of Filler".
Most homes had VCRs in 1983 and sales of videos were big business. Along with the Jane Fonda workout tapes, you could buy a VHS or Beta copy of Michael Jackson's Thriller, which included the full video and also "The Making of Michael Jackson's Thriller", a behind the scenes documentary. This tape became the best selling music video at the time, and was later certified by Guinness World Records as the top selling music video of all time, moving nine million units. Part of its appeal was the price, a mere $24.95 at a time when movies on tape cost much more. The music video won for Best Performance Video, Best Choreography, and Viewers Choice at the first MTV Video Music Awards in 1984.
The music video is considered the most famous music video of all time, at least by the Library of Congress, which added it to its National Film Registry in 2009, the first music video in their registry. It has been named the greatest music video of all time by various publications and readers' polls. A black-and-red calfskin jacket worn by Jackson in the song's video was bought by Milton Verret, a Texas commodities trader at an auction in California for $1.8 million in June 2011. Michael Jackson wore the jacket in the scene where a group of zombies rise from their graves and break into a dance routine.
The song: "Thriller", was not initially planned for release as a single, as Epic saw it as a novelty song. the Epic records executive Walter Yetnikoff asked: "Who wants a single about monsters?". By mid-1983, sales of the album had begun to decline. Michael Jackson, who was "obsessive" about his sales figures, urged Walter Yetnikoff and another Epic Records executive, Larry Stessel, to help conceive a plan to return the album to the top of the charts. Michael Jackson's manager Frank DiLeo suggested releasing the song: "Thriller", backed by a new music video. It was the final single from the album, released in January 1984.
    Michael Jackson Info 📰:
Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He passed away on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. He was a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor and philanthropist. His musical influences include: James Brown, Little Richard, Jackie Wilson, Diana Ross, Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr, Gene Kelly and David Ruffin. Dubbed the "King Of Pop", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. Over a four-decade career, his contributions to music, dance and fashion, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture. Michael Jackson influenced artists across many music genres; through stage and video performances, he popularized complicated dance moves such as the moonwalk, to which he gave the name, as well as the robot.
The eighth child of the Jackson family, Michael Jackson made his public debut in 1964 with his older brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5 (later known as The Jacksons). Michael Jackson began his solo career in 1971 while at Motown Records. He became a solo star with his 1979 album: Off The Wall. His music videos, including those for "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller, are credited with breaking racial barriers and transforming the medium into an artform and promotional tool. He helped propel the success of MTV and continued to innovate with videos for the albums Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), HIStory: Past, Present And Future, Book I (1995) and Invincible (2001). Thriller became the best-selling album of all time, while Bad was the first album to produce five US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles.
On March 25, 1983, Michael Jackson reunited with his brothers for Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, an NBC television special. The show aired on May 16 to an estimated audience of 47 million, and featured The Jacksons and other Motown stars. Michael Jackson's solo performance of "Billie Jean" earned him his first Emmy Award nomination. Wearing a glove decorated with rhinestones, he debuted his moonwalk dance, which Jeffrey Daniel had taught him three years earlier, and it became his signature dance in his repertoire.
In 1984 at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards, Thriller won eight Grammy Awards, and Michael Jackson won an award for the E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial storybook. Winning eight Grammys in one ceremony is a record he holds with the band Santana. The Grammy Awards Show success transformed Michael Jackson into a dominant force in global pop culture.
On January 27, 1984 Michael and other members of The Jacksons filmed a Pepsi commercial at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. During a simulated concert before a full house of fans, pyrotechnics accidentally set Michael Jackson's hair on fire, causing second-degree burns to his scalp. He underwent treatment to hide the scars and Pepsi settled out of court. Michael Jackson donated the $1.5 million settlement to the Brotman Medical Center in Culver City, California. Michael Jackson signed a second agreement with Pepsi in the late 1980s for $10 million. The second campaign covered 20 countries and provided financial support for his Bad album and 1987-88 world tour.
The Victory Tour of 1984 headlined The Jacksons and showcased Michael Jackson's new solo material to more than two million Americans. It was the last tour he did with his brothers. Following controversy over the concert's ticket sales, he donated his share of the proceeds, an estimated $3 to 5 million, to charity. During the last concert of the Victory Tour at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, he announced his split from The Jacksons live on stage during the Jackson 5 performance of the song: "Shake Your Body".

MJ's charitable work continued with the release of "We Are The World" (1985), co-written with Lionel Richie, which raised money for the poor in the US and Africa. It earned $63 million (equivalent to $158,728,032 in 2021), and became one of the best-selling singles of all time, with 20 million copies sold. It won four Grammy Awards in 1985, including Song of the Year for MJ and Lionel Richie as its writers. The project's creators received two special American Music Awards honors: one for the creation of the song and another for the USA for Africa idea.
In 1984 Robert Holmes à Court announced he was selling the Sony ATV Music Publishing catalog comprising the publishing rights to nearly 4,000 songs, including most of the Beatles' material. MJ's purchase of the Sony ATV Music catalog was finalized on August 10, 1985. This would lead to a strain in his relationship with Paul McCartney.
MJ's world tours 🏟: Bad (1987-1989), Dangerous World Tour (1992-1993), HIStory World Tour (1996-1997) MJ & Friends (1999) as a solo artist were some of the biggest and best of any artist in music history.
In 2009, while he was preparing for a series of comeback concerts: This Is It, Michael Jackson died from an overdose of propofol administered by his personal physician, Conrad Murray, who was convicted in 2011 of involuntary manslaughter. His death triggered reactions around the world, creating unprecedented surges of Internet traffic and a spike in sales of his music. On July 7, 2009 a televised memorial service for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was viewed by an estimated 2.5 billion people globally. On September 3, 2009 the body of Michael Jackson was entombed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
Michael Jackson is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 400 million records worldwide. He has won hundreds of awards, making him one of the most-awarded artists in popular music. His awards include 39 Guinness World Records, including the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, as well as the Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and 26 American Music Awards, including the Artist of the Century and Artist of the 1980s. He also received the World Music Awards' Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of the Millennium and the Bambi Pop Artist of the Millennium Award. Michael Jackson was inducted onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 as a member of The Jacksons, and in 1984 as a solo artist. He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and again as a solo artist in 2001. In 2002, he was added to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2010, he was the first recording artist to be inducted into the Dance Hall of Fame, and in 2014, he was posthumously inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame. In 2021, he was among the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame.

"Cuz dis is Dillahhhh! Dillah Night!" Sorry, I couldn't help it. Many people have joked that there are parts of the song where it really doesn't sound like Michael is saying Thriller, lol. Anyway, so much of this video is iconic: The choreography, the red leather jacket, the letterman's jacket Michael was wearing earlier in the video, etc.
This is still considered the greatest music video of all time and it was filmed in 1983. This was a real game changer and it's stood the test of time. Sidenote, the guy who Michael hands his box of popcorn to, when he's leaving the movie theater to go after his girlfriend, is Miko Brando. He was one of Michael's friends and, the son of acting legend, Marlon Brando.
