Not big on worker placement so I just couldn't pull the trigger on the latest KS, despite it looking so cool. But it's great to see these going over well with their fans :D Great review!

As much as I love base game, I'm really looking forward to spice it up and get both expansions. This game is by far the funnest game i've played that involves meeple. Great review btw. Now I'm going to check out you're other video on the other expansion.

I might have to check out Champions of Midgard. I've never played it but I really like the art in this expansion.

Cosmic Tavern it's a great game. some complain it's "samey" every turn. but so is Lord's of waterdeep. if you like waterdeep, it's that with combat. we love it in my group. what this expansion adds makes it even better.

I haven't actually played Waterdeep but I've been wanting to check it out based on the good reviews. My backlog is just too huge right now. Not a bad problem to have. :)

See, the 5th player is what sold me on this one. We rarely have fewer than 5 people turn up for a session so even with just one extra player added, this is bound to hit the table MUCH more often that it currently does. As it is we only ever dust it off if someone is sick or can't make it for some other reason.

I think it's Dice Tower who started the slogan "Champions Of Midgard is Lords Of Waterdeep killer". I still think Lords Of Waterdeep with expansion is way superior to Champions Of Midgard. Still, i backed these Champions Of Midgard expansions in hope they makes the game a bit better.

I agree with you %100. Waterdeep is one of my favorite games. I just bought Midgard and although there are some similarities with mechanisms, it does not feel like I'm playing the same game at all. I only have one Midgard game played so far and my opinion might change but I was surprised at the amount of luck involved in this game, mostly with the dice and hidden events. Seems tough to have anything going because bad dice rolls ruin your plans. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, though. Many gamers (including myself) enjoy rolling dice. But I still prefer the thinky/puzzly aspect of Waterdeep and its overall fluidity, even if the theme is probably less present in it than in Midgard.

That Vile Priest looks somewhat Sam Healy-ish.

These expansions are tough. The gavel doesn't go through them 😁
