US needs to follow the US Constitution. Judges and politicians who have been in politics for along time, took an oath. Patriotic America first

The US is not a direct democracy, its a constitutional republic. Why do these people get this wrong?

No one gets this wrong. No one, ever, has proclaimed that the US is a “direct” democracy. There has never been a nation that was a direct democracy. The US is a representative democracy. As was said in the video.

More correctly we are a democratically elected constitutional republic. Why do these people get this wrong?

Federally we're a constitutional republic, electorally we're a representative democracy.

I hate to correct you but the United States is a Federal Republic with a written constitution. Your state is a unitary Republic with a written constitution. Thus the United States is a union of independent countries united for their common defense and external trade. The United States was never one country. We the people in the preamble referred to the people of each state not the collective hole. Power was centralized in the Civil War. Francis Bellamy a socialist created the Bellamy Salute which was similar to the Nazi salute. It was changed in World War II for obvious reasons. Citing the pledge made Americans think we were one country. Federalism was the vertical check on consolidated power. This has obviously been eroded to the point where liberty is in danger.

Thank you ! We in the UK have no idea of the freedoms that we (should) enjoy as we have no proper written constitution. So we have lost the right to hold views that do not follow the official government line; And, of course, we cannot express those views. The mechanisms of the state, from police to public media (like the BBC) constrain citizens and support/enforce a Liberal stance. Democracy offers us the choice of 2 Parties, neither of which reflect the opinions of the people, just the views of elite politicians, who have NEVER had a real job. It's the death of a nation through the pretence of Democracy. The UK is a hollow shell of a country.

You don’t have these freedoms? Here in America they are almost gone. You get in social trouble if you say something people don’t like. Now they talk about “hate speech” and the things they consider to be hateful are absolutely ridiculous. The socialist/communist ideals of the Democratic Party are taking over 😞

The reason the UK has no Constitution it is because they already had one and it failed ....look it up and find out why it's happening here with the U.S. it's failing too today. That's why there is none where yur at ....Kapeesh?

Today we have 3 Constitutions. But the other 2 derive from the original.
federal and state have their own while the real one is locked up in a museum safe with the biggest high security a piece of paper can get... Pretty much!

A Republic with a Democracy voting system. The Democracy voting system is wrong for the Republic. The Founding Fathers did not get to come up with the proper voting system for The Nationalist Constitutional Republic.

Oh my goodness! First, the Constitution is not a framework to govern the country! There is no popular sovereignty established by the Constitution of the United States. The people are counted to apportion representation and suffrage to the States to participate in the legislative processes of Congress which are governed by legislative processes to reach a majority consensus of the States as the Union.
Sorry, that’s where I stopped the video! Because of you can’t get that right, you don’t understand the Constitution of the United States.
The assembly of the States had sovereignty in the United States, and the proportional and equal suffrage each State is entitled is the residual sovereignty each State retained when it ceded power to form the Union. Which means for those of you in the cheap seats, the States ceded power to form the Union that they have an equal right to participate in to reach a majority Consensus of all the States in the Union to make the collective decisions of the States as the Union!
The people do no have any sovereignty, representation, or suffrage in the federal government, they are counted and representation and suffrage is apportioned to their States based upon that number. The Union was formed of the States, by the States, for the States, not the people!

The US is a republic, not so much of a democracy. Remember democracy means majority rules so it doesn’t protect the minorities. That’s why we have the constitution of republic.

  • @russell8516

    It's a Republic not a democracy.

  • @nfpnone8248
    @nfpnone8248 Před měsícem

You need to learn what a republic is before you ever make another video. There is no such thing as a representative democracy, either all are assembled, which is a democracy, or all are assembled through a representation, which forms a Republican Form of Government.
A representative is someone you hire to advocate for your interests, a representation is a smaller version of the original, and in the case of a representation of ALL THE PEOPLE, when you get done it must be an exact representation of ALL THE PEOPLE, “The People in their Collective Capacity”, assembled as the Most Numerous Legislative Branch! If it’s not an exact representation of ALL THE PEOPLE, then you must change the representative density until you do produce an exact representation of ALL THE PEOPLE!
