We just had a large pharmacy career-learning event at UNE in Portland and as a p1 i learned so much! I had no clue what ambulatory pharmacy was, but it is now on the top of my list! And industry positions value pgy1/clinical experience so it is a relief to know i can change my path whenever i want!

Is it easy to maintain a work-life balance as a pharmacist is US?
it depends on what path you pursue and the policies your hospital/clinic/company implements! I think for my hospital, the work-life balance is fine since I only work one weekend a month - but I have friends who work at other hospitals and they work every other weekend. So the answer can vary a lot!

My daughter went to a 0-6 program right out of High School. At present she is working clinical pharmacy in the Philadelphia metro area. She went to Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. My wife was a retail pharmacy, she advised her to clinical. My wife had cancer, my daughter mostly does oncology.
