Liam Gallagher is a British musician and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the rock bands Oasis and Beady Eye. He was born on September 21, 1972, in Manchester, England.
Oasis, formed in 1991, became one of the most successful and influential British rock bands of the 1990s. Liam's distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence, along with his tumultuous relationship with his brother Noel Gallagher (Oasis's lead guitarist and songwriter), contributed to the band's fame. Some of Oasis's most famous songs include "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger," "Champagne Supernova," and "Live Forever."
In 2009, Oasis disbanded after a backstage altercation between Liam and Noel. Following the breakup, Liam formed the band Beady Eye with other former Oasis members, but they disbanded in 2014 after two albums.
Liam Gallagher has also pursued a solo career, releasing albums like "As You Were" (2017), "Why Me? Why Not" (2019), and "C'mon You Know" (2021). His solo work has received critical acclaim and maintained his status as a prominent figure in the British music scene.
Liam is known for his distinctive singing style, brash personality, and outspoken nature. He remains a prominent figure in the world of rock and roll.
Beady Eye was a British rock band formed in 2009 by former Oasis members after the breakup of Oasis. The band consisted of Liam Gallagher (vocals), Gem Archer (guitar), Andy Bell (bass guitar), and Chris Sharrock (drums). Notably, Liam Gallagher was the lead vocalist for Beady Eye, as he was in Oasis.
After the breakup of Oasis in 2009 due to tensions between Liam and his brother Noel, the remaining members (Liam, Gem, Andy, and Chris) decided to continue making music together under the new band name Beady Eye. Their debut album, titled "Different Gear, Still Speeding," was released in 2011 and received generally positive reviews. It included songs like "The Roller" and "Four Letter Word."
Beady Eye's music retained a rock and roll sound reminiscent of Oasis, but the band also aimed to develop their own identity. They released a second album called "BE" in 2013, which showcased a more experimental and psychedelic approach to their music.

What's your favourite Liam quote? Mine has to be "What's wrong with being confident? If you're not confident you're a bag of pork scratchings!!" Genius.
My fave was when Jo wiley or someone like that said "songbird is a really romantic song etc etc what made you come up with the song title ...?" ..." well it was a song about me bird" dunno why just had me in stitches 😂

I have to take my hat off to Liam for his honesty talking about his by- gone days , regarding
his own attitude post Oasis days. 👍
Yeah he’s getting quite humble in recent times
He may sing to thousands but only wants 1 person to notice

He does notice and has acknowledged it a couple of times or at least the gigs he's sold out he has. I'm sure he's noticed.

Absoulte living legend , you can hear the LOVE he has in his voice and still even for his brother

No doubt, about it he loves his big brother more than anything in this earth.
Let there be love
That has to be his most candid, honest and humble interview ever. It was so good to hear him recognise that he totally fucked it with Noel and I feel for him because he has paid such a massive price for that
He did, but hopefully they’ll have a reunion tour at some point. I live in hope
@@MusicMatters_SC let’s just hope they can sit around the table as a family… who cares about a reunion tour, there’s more important stuff in life than that
@@jw_au amen!
But splitting with his brother pushed him to forge his own considerable musical identity and contributions as a songwriter.

Liam obviously still loves noel no matter what ...3 years i fell out with my brother then i saw him in the town 3 years later like nothing ever happened i love 😊him

And this is why Liam is my favorite of the brothers. Like respect to Noel for his talents, but Liam has turned into something greater:
An absolute down to earth rockstar.
I'm up for it. Also love his twitter posts! Big shouts to the rastas!
He’s unique for sure 👌🏼
He’s a normal lad talented and still down to earth, fame hasn’t changed him,🎸💙⭐
What’s the Rasta thing he always talks about ? I’m late to the party on this
Always loved Liam. He's down to earth.

No chance, Liam is absolutely petrified of Noel and as Noel says, why would Liam want Oasis back when hes smashing it on his own
Wasn't a massive Oasis fan after the first 2 albums (Definitely Maybe is a stonewall classic) but think Beady Eye were very underrated and you've just gotta love Liam, he's SO damn honest! Proper rock n roll front man and there ain't many left.

Liam is real isn't he? We need people like him..... now more than ever. With the music business being so commercialised, pop stars and their record labels curate their public image. The net result is fewer risks being taken, decisions made to have the broadest appeal and questions answered like politicians, wary of offending...... it's f*cking boring, sanitised and stale. You don't need to be slagging people off or shovelling spade fulls of drugs in your ears every night - but you do need to be yourself and that seems increasingly rare. You can really feel it when Liam is saying he sings like his life depends on it or says there is a crazy teenager inside him waiting to get out. He had to be a pop star - the alternatives were too grim for him to contemplate. There is no dole these days so working class bands/artists don't get chance to develop and the music industry is so commercialised that very few risks are taken singing new stuff. The result is the career pop star from a privileged background - and a great big shrug of indifference from the rest of us.
Well said my friend 👏

I'm actually super heartened to hear Liam acknowledge that there is something "pathetic" about his break up with Noel. I feel the same way. Totally pathetic, that two people, brothers even, so incredible together, so beloved - around the planet - no longer speak with each other. I heard Noel say, (re: Liam) "he's a filthy little narcissist and I can't have people like that in my life." It's been what 15 years - ? "I ain't talked to Noel, Noel ain't talked to me.." For me it's coherent/honest of Liam to acknowledge the absurdity. Maybe John Squire can broker their reunion but I've personally abandoned all hope.
