It's pretty messed up that you need to go into the registry in the first place. Win 11 should be giving you these options very easily.

I recently reverted back to Windows 10, from 11 (VIA complete bootable reinstall) for several reasons one being, the need for Rich Text Documents that I can't live without and the other being, Personal Data Gathering, on Windows 11, I find offensive and harmful. And by the way I use, Start 10 and a few other products from Stardock. so after i did these changes i noticed that the icons on my right side taskbar and dates arent changing in size. Can i fix this or is it stuck like that bc of the setting?

Hmm, this worked two weeks ago on my new pc but I just tried it (several times with checking to make sure I've made no errors) and it no longer works. MickeySoft must have change something to prevent people from running windows the way they like it. WINDOWS 11 - YOU WILL CONFORM AND LIKE IT. DICTATOR! Have you found a way to add toolbars back? I really miss the desktop toolbar, it's how I've been launching my favourite stuff since Win7.
Lot's of Windows 10 functionality is missing in Windows 11. It may be added in the future but for now it's not available.

the ribbon on file explorer didn't return after i copied and pasted it' it said it was successful but even after i restarted both pc and file explorer, it didn't work. am i missing something?

I was not looking for this tutorial.
Reason = Aligning the taskbar to the left corner on Windows 11 will not make it look like Windows 10, I wanted to completely turn it into Windows 10 just by using a theme pack.
Getting ready to upgrade. Is all this still valid or did they add any customization options that eliminate the need for registry entries?
Some more settings have been added in Windows 11 but most of these on the list will still need to be set if you want Windows 10 functionality.

You can add the taskbar on multiple displays. It’s a setting in the taskbar settings menu. There is a hack to move the taskbar to the top but I’m not aware of a way to put it on the left.

Why did you use cmd prompt for the first 2 reg keys, but actually use the reg editor for the 3rd item? Was there no cmd for the 3rd item?
It could be done either way but I showed the options that were tested to work for me previously.

I've had Stardock since Windows 8 (Start8) and never looked back ever since. I've got Windows 10, and now I have Start10/11 and I set my desktop looks exactly like Windows 11. Even the taskbar icons and start menu is in the middle with Windows 11 wallpaper. 😄
For me it keeps saying ERROR: Invalid key name.

I just heard that Microsoft is stopping the sales of ISO of windows 10 end of this month. I like Windows 10 because it had unstable start but now it's usable I am going to windows 11 on for the last ditch effort.
openshell is free for changing start menu it was known as classic shell.
yo you might wanna make an updated version of this tutorial, but with explorerpatcher, that thing makes windows 11 LOOK alot more like windows 10.
Thank you for making this tutorial for us, but it just wasn't enough for me, but I found another way! You can actually turn back to Windows 10!
1. Go to settings
2. Go to Windows Update
3. Click Advanced Options
4. Click on Recovery
5. Click Go Back
Your device will then restart and when it's done, IT'LL BE BACK TO WINDOWS 10! :D

By changing the taskbar to Win 10, will it allow me to create new multiple taskbars based on directories containing multiple application links like in Win 10 or does it only change the appearance ? Thanks!
With Start11 you can add folders and pages to the start menu.

I don't see any option. It has been removed from Windows 11. Perhaps they will add that back in the future.

Old versions of windows 10 (notebly 1507, 1511 all the way to 1809) were more faster, less bloated and more better than modern 10 & 11.

You can position the Start11 menu on the top or bottom. Without Start 11 the registry hacks don't give you much control.

I tried restoring the Ribbon in File Explorer multiple times and it still doesn't work.
It is my first day with Win11 and so far I'm not impressed but surely having followed your instructions including Copy/Pasting the command as shown and restarting File Explorer, it should have worked ... right ?
The first command gives me the error "Windows cannot find the path specified"
