Meet Sachindri Wijekoon, an assistant professor in the School of Occupational Therapy!
She is advancing inclusivity for older adult immigrants through community research that explores the challenges faced by late-life immigrants, particularly those from ethnic and racial minority backgrounds. Inspired by her grandparents' struggles adapting to a new life in Canada, she aims to tailor care systems and policies to better meet their needs, ensuring equity and inclusion for all older adults.
