- Saturn SL2 header install. Will a racing header increase the horsepower and torque on our mostly stock 4 cylinder Saturn Sl2? The install is pretty straight forward. It's probably going to be easier for most people to have the work done at an exhaust shop vs DIY to be honest. Unless of course you or your buddy do welding.

I have a mustang and it makes more noise with the cold air intake however doesnt feel as quick, maybe 2 or 3 hp and bearly noticeable. It’s a spectre filter with a airid tube

I just sold my '95 sw2 and I regret it. I bought it with a mighty loud exhaust leak from the flex pipe. The sw2 had the traction control button and performance button. I used to dis/engage both and floor it. The car sounded like a Nascar and would spin the tires mid shift. My gf even said it felt more like a sports car than a practical wagon. Saturn will be missed. I think they sound better than most jdm when u put a good exhaust on them (the early s-series that is).
Oh man! That's literally soo sad! Oof. Those sw2s are SWEET!! They really do deliver quite the fun driving experience! Sometime this month or next we'll be releasing our performance exhaust/muffler install. It sounds pretty good I gotta say! #ripsw2 you'll be missed 😔

If you can find a throttle body off a geo storm it should fit right in but you have to flip the bracket over… when I did mine I had issues with it keeping the throttle open so you’d have to do some adjusting there. You could also make your own bracket to

Oh 100%! Definitely wanting to do that. All the forums are implying that there isn't tuning available for these older Saturns. We'll probably gonna have to end up getting a stand alone ECU!😄
@@_stancebrothers that is correct they are a ROM setup. However if you find an SC2 PCM the fueling is the same but they are limited to 130 mph rather than 101 with the computer you have in your car. I've got a 1992 Saturn sc within mp2 transmission and a MP3 fifth gear swap it definitely helped with the acceleration at lower speeds with the larger gear ratios. My brother also has a 1995 Saturn sc that is more or less mint and he built a 2 1/2 inch exhaust from the flex pipe and pass the muffler.

🙂That time was found on the "good ol google." There were other times listed. But apparently that time was listed as the best stock 0-60 in 2002 out of the factory!👌
@@_stancebrothers i doubt it would be sub 10 in the real world stock at it its current age you would be lucky to get sub 10. would be interesting to see what you would run stock 0 -60 with the car. but it does sound nicer
Yeah, I'd be curious too. Rating our gains would definitely have been way more accurate if we had done previous vehicle specific runs on our own. Definitely gonna need to put in that forethought with future builds! Thanks! We like it too!!👍

Ah yes! You're so right! A couple months ago when we began these modifications we had to raise the suspension in order to clear the threshold of the Dynamometer for these tests we're running! (That's shown in the original dyno video with the Saturn. Link reference in video) As the owner of the Saturn, I couldn't agree with you more! My fitment is sooo embarrassingly wack right now!🤢 Before, all my wheels were tucked with less than 3" underbody clearance. Gonna be slamming it back this weekend tho!😄👌 Lol

@@_stancebrothers the oil from your skin will discolor the metal when heat cycled. its not pretty. you end up having a nice blue/black finger print on your header runner.
