The price was 52 USD per night during the high season. Please note that this hotel is extremely popular and is often sold out during the high seasons. There are also a lot of foreign retirees staying here permanently due to the cheap prices.

Areca Lodge location
The hotel is situated in Soi Diana, a highly central location that offers easy access to all the major tourist attractions in the central Pattaya area. Pattaya Beach is approximately 500 meters away, while the Central Festival shopping mall is located at a distance of around 600 meters from the hotel. Soi Buakhao and Tree Town are both less than 400 meters away. Walking Street is also easily accessible, just 1300 meters away from the hotel.
Areca Lodge Pattaya guest-friendly?
The hotel is guest-friendly. No extra charges for one guest (2 persons per room at the same time.) Extra fee of 500 baht if bring 2 guests at the same time.
Swimming pool and fitness center
Areca Lodge boasts two swimming pools, each with ample sun loungers. The fitness center is situated adjacent to the primary building swimming pool. The gym is of good quality, although the multifunctional fitness machine is somewhat outdated. Otherwise, the gym is fine.
Is Areca Lodge good value for the money?
Based on the quality of the room, facilities, and breakfast, I consider this hotel to offer excellent value if the price is under 60 USD per night. The location of the hotel is one of the best in Pattaya, providing easy access to almost everything in the Central Pattaya area. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, comparable to that of a 5-star hotel, despite the hotel only being rated as 4-star. The only area for improvement is the fitness center, as some of the equipment could use an upgrade.

oldie but goldie.. but in middle of the party center..and allmost all hotels and guesthouses is girlfriendly
I stayed there last fall for a few nights. It was ok, nothing special. Be careful when you check in, they will try to put you in the rear building in a run down old room when you booked a much larger and better room. Many hotels will try this trick if they think they can get away with it. On a positive note, the breakfast was decent.
They refurbished the corona wing. My last visit in Sept the room I had was tired the bathroom was really poor

Good room review, no weird music or strange dialects. Who goes to Patts to use gym equipment? ........
I also go to use a gym in pattaya. But in a 5 minute walk you have 3 public gyms near areca lodge. 7fitness 2nd road, sun fitness at soi buakhao and cocos gym at the 4th floor of mikes shopping.
Some people need to excercise daily for health reasons ffs.
For this price I would book a suite room in Hotel Nalanta. 1 min to tree town 2 min to Buakhao Food market by walk.
Was there night noise from the bars?
Not in this side of the building. Rooms facing swimming pool / Soi Diana might have some noise.
Is breakfast good for vegetarian people or not?
Best rooms over looking pool are the cheapest
It’s in a good location and the room was nice. However, the gym was a disappointment.
No view but the room is tidy enough, I keep hearing bad things about hotel kettles, probably best to bring a travel kettle from home
'Guests' are not allowed in rooms!
Hotel is 100% guest friendly (No extra charges for bringing guest to rooms). That wording in the book should be "no unregistered guest allowed in hotel rooms". Guests must leave/show ID or passport at the front desk.

i think every room is guest friendly in central pattaya , I stayed at the hilton last month it was no charge guest friendly.
