The very first question any nominee should be asked is "Do you intend to answer any questions you are asked during this hearing?". If they answer no, that will save a lot of time. And kind of surprised that Joe didn't catch that she wrote "I can't tell" on the gender question on her supreme court judge application, since that was 50 percent of her score.

What you need to understand is ever since the Bork confirmation hearing the goal of these hearings is NOT to elicit information to help a senator vote, but to say as little as possible about what they think or their views on Anything. This is true for All confirmation hearing no matter the party.
More accurately they should ask if they actually intend to tell or answer truthfully and get a straight yes or no.

No it doesn't disqualify her. There are legal challenges based on individuals self-identifying their gender and the matter is very likely going percolate up to the SCOTUS level. For her to declare in her mind what the definition of "woman" would be, is tantamount to her prejudging the legal question and exhibiting bias in advance of evidence being presented. I pray to God that all these senators asking tough probing questions and really putting her on the spot and expressing their concerns over her truly show that in how they vote and aren’t just giving lipservice to their constituents to make it look like they are being tough .
