Well, the question "Are there more than five questions" alone displays the ignorance in this discussion pretty well. It's literally a non-binary understanding of identity. Probably she should rather have explained the difference between a scale vs. categorial.
The problem is that they have these people on who can't properly argue for what they even believe. I don't agree, for instance, that trans women should compete with cis women in sports. But gender is socially constructed. Everything is socially constructed.
There are 8 billion people, so there are 8 billion genders. Everyone is a bit different. And society can either have a strong gender binary: where the majority of people identify with traditional aspects of masculinity and femininity; or it can have a weak or weakening gender binary.
That is the answer she should've gave.
