    Changing my straight handlebars to cruiser ones changed everything for my folding bike ride and comfort. I changed my popular seat for a Bikeroo

    Really cool. I would love to add a battery to my Day 6. Now all you need is some suspension.

      Yeah, that second battery is easy to love...feels worth the investment especially with a little passenger and a full load of groceries...the system stays right around 50-51 volts for miles and miles under load. Agreed on the suspension :)

    Just swapped out my rw4 recall tires for the IRC’s and boy the bike feels so much better no more speed wobble, and not that much compromise on acceleration. Lost about 1-2 mph top end (22ish mph now).

      Yeah, I find these tires really spongy, absorbing a good amount of the little bumps. Having the ability to push our little motor to 1200-1300 watts is really useful to combat the extra couple pounds of tire weight we've taken on.

      Am I understanding correctly that you removed the OEM 22" tires/rims and replaced them with 18" tires/rims?
      Also, how tough was it to lace up the new hub motor to the wheel? (or did you have a bike shop do it?)

      @@benchapel9814 Actually bicycle tires are measured by overall diameter, essentially tread to tread. Motorcycle and car/vehicle tires are measured by rim size so a 2 3/4 inch wide tire for an 18 inch motorcycle rim will fit the "22 inch" RadWagon wheel tire combination. He didn't have to change rims. It's what I'm going to do with my RW4 when I finally wear out the tires it came with.

    I like it very different approach. I know you like that added range and power 🔋

      That extra battery is certainly worth the $ . Makes this bike more practical and useful for sure

    In the next episode we'll be looking at Hub motors and Heat, and troubling shooting throttle and electrical issues including adjustments to the brake lever sensors. I have really maxed out the amount of power I can send to this little 10 lbs motor and longer rides pushing over 750watts continues means understanding torque and time to motor heat saturation :)

    the orange color of the handlebar wraps may not be perfect as far as matching the color of the bike but it is a very good safety color orange and white helps visibility.
    the shinko 241 tire seems to fit and work very well i had to replace the front tire but i have not been out yet because of the weather so i will find out if the tire would work.

    So did you have to rethread the spokes yourself?

    • @ebikeupgrades
      @ebikeupgrades  Před 10 měsíci +2

      no, the motor core can be taken out and swapped without messing with the motor outer casing and rim laces. Very convenient in this way

    I have an Aventon Abound and I am looking to upgrade along similar lines. But alas, not too many how-to videos on the topic. Your bike looks like a dream!

      no. Those Shinko 241 tires I reviewed in another video are much better.
