    I’ve watched several Jeep Renegade review videos and this is probably the best one yet. This lady does an excellent job in detailing the hybrid modes and I believe she is very honest about the Jeep’s pros and cons.

    I got myself a 2018 jeep renegade limited 1.6 turbodiesel in September and its awesome, great mpg over 60 mpg easily and its quick enough an has plenty torque so overtakes are a breeze, comfiest seats ive had in any car an full leather an heated front seats an steering wheel too, i think its best motor I've had and it drives great, its cool, fun ,quirky and plenty room for mountain bike an camping gear in back with rear seats down,ive sat in the back seat behind my drivers seat an plenty leg and head room an im 5 feet 9, really can't praise this car enough, its got character an soul , love my jeep 😍 great review and pretty cool colour of renegade in video 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      I think the 1.6 diesel is really the sweet spot for economy in the range. Pity there's no auto option, or 4wd.

    I've just spent a while driving a Renegade Trailhawk 4xe in Spain, and I liked it. It is very frugal in short journeys and super smooth with plenty of power when in hybrid mode, I wouldn't say it handles badly, though, it's not a car but it's miles better on road than a 4x4 fitted with KO2s or similar all terrain tyres, lastly the cargo space is lacking! It's a small car, but there's almost no space at all in the boot. I like it, but that tiny boot isba huge compromise.

    I have a first generation renegade 2 L diesel remaps and I’m getting just under 40 miles with gallon around town. I don’t have a problem with his hand. I think you handle very well.

    @dreaminofthedrive5343 Před 2 lety +4

    I like the look of this Jeep Renegade, even if its a bit plasticy. It might not be the most practical. Bad on fuel, handling and realability, but Its a bit fun and quirky.

    • @1099Deusvult
      @1099Deusvult Před rokem +2

      For a 4x4 it hasn't got bad handling what so ever, and the reliability is brilliant. As long as you look after it, it will look after you.

  • @OggyGTA
    @OggyGTA Před 6 měsíci

    Hello fellow Tentboxer - I have a 2016 Trailhawk (diesel) and it is equally unrefined, but with a 9 speed box and armfuls of torque, it pulls so well, it feels like nothing will stop it, and with all terrain tyres (proper ones not the all-weather tyres shown here) it pretty much can go anywhere in the UK! Biggest issue with all Fiat built cars, they're not very special and are built to a price. So after 8 years, ours has started to develop problems; worn engine mounts, oil pressure regulator and the a/c compressor, all needing replacing.

    It's far more economical than this suggests. It isn't sluggish with a flat battery as there is a buffer. Run it in hybrid to benefit from free electric miles. Don't buy it if you want a car experience, it's a Jeep so don't compare it to other vehicles.

    Good review but one important information is missing i.e. it's price and comparison to older gasoline models. I was in the market for a new car recently. Got convinced to buy a jeep renegade but not this one. The price was ridiculous for very little additional benefit compared to gasoline engine. Bought a used one. And that is a substantial saving not peanuts on fuel prices difference.

    I've had this car for over a year and so much here I don't agree with... to the point that I stopped the video early. Run it in hybrid mode as the dealer will have told you to do. I get 70 mpg that way, and that's driving mostly rural at 60 mph. Sat nav is fine, no need for android or apple nav. Lost the will to live after that.
    Edit... driving in Esave mode means that you are using petrol to drive the car AND charge the battery at the same time. So that only makes sense if you are driving into a low emmision zone when you will switch to electric mode, but not for everyday use.
