  • Is it possible to visit a beautiful place as a tourist and not contribute to its destruction? We sent a team to Nosara, Costa Rica, to find out more about the growing trend of "ecotourism"-and brought home a few tips for anyone hoping to travel without destroying their destination.

Good tips that everyone should follow. However the problem is that the people who cause the most harm dont care and definitely wont be watching videos like these.

Please don't assume that a tour operator is acting responsibly just because they use the word "ecotourism." Use your critical thinking skills! For example, I saw a locally-owned company in Central America that offered an "eco-tour cooking class," in which a local guide would take you to local markets to buy local food and would then take you to a place where you would learn how to cook a local dish. Oh, by the way, the food was the eggs of endangered sea turtles!

I don't know if Eco tourism is possible, but i sure know there are people committing Eco terrorism . and they care nothing for you or your children's welfare.

Considering one seat on a plane is worth 8 months of an average driver's carbon emissions. How many seats are one plane's again? A fucking lot. Stop traveling.
