- Today I can present to YOU the full Drive & Sound with the recently facelifted 2017 / 2018 Volkswagen Golf 7 R VARIANT (Wagon) delivering 310 hp and 400 Nm of torque through 4 Motion and 7-Speed DSG. Interestingly enough VW has managed to get a decent sound out of this exhaust system whereas the SEAT Cupra 300 ST 4Drive sounds rather calm. Actually it sounds even better than the "normal" 5-door version which has an active valve system but had to be made quieter than the pre-facelift due to EU regulations. Of course the Akrapovic exhaust which is only optional for 3-door and 5-door will sound even more aggressive. Please stay tuned for more footage of this Golf R airing soon also on FB & Insta. Cheers.

ich weiß einfach nicht was ich von den vier Endrohren halten soll. Sehen einerseits gut aus aber andereseits ist es ein bisschen albern wenn man bedenkt was raus kommt und wie viele Zylinder das Auto hat.

My only complaint with the Golf R is that they look a little too staid. Teutonic and understated is great. But the "bargain" GTI looks more special than the halo-car Golf R. Replacing the subtle red trim with chrome makes it look like a regular Golf in my opinion.
I’m late to reply but the R could have done with the blue accents they gave to the GTE would have made it more special they should have gave it blue tartan seats instead of the alcantara things

Wie immer ein gutes Video, daher Daumen hoch. Allerdings ist der Sound nervig, dieses Pfurzen beim Hochschalten und innen der künstliche Sound, der selbst bei Komfort-Einstellung dröhnt (Tempo 60). Bin ihn auch selbst probegefahren (VFL). Leider kein würdiger Nachfolger für meinen Golf 5 R32. Daher ist es nun ein RS3 geworden. (Abholung am 5.2. in Ingolstadt) ;-)
Was verbraucht so ein 2.0tsi eigentlich bei normaler Fahrweiße im Alltag (Drittelmix Stadt/Land/BAB) ?
Ich fahre einen S3 (vorfacelift 300PS) welcher sicherlich mit dem Golf R zu vergleichen ist. Ich habe einen Langzeitverbrauch von ~10 L/100km. Bei Überlandfahrten kann man den auch mit 8 Litern Fahren. In der Stadt sind es schnell 12 Liter oder mehr
Ja, um die 10 Liter sollten realistisch sein, wir hatten 9,6 über 2.500 km.
Kann ich bestätigen! In meinem Leon Cupra ST braucht der 2.0 TSI im Winter ca. 9,5 und im Sommer etwas weniger ~ 8,5 im Langzeitverbrauch.

Wäre cool weniger nach den etlichen Videos die ihr schon erstellt habt, endlich mal per GPS die Zeiten messen würdet. Wenn bei Tacho 198 bereits die 200er-Zeit aufploppt ist das irgendwie realitätsfern und somit unseriös;-)
Wir verifizieren die Zeiten schon seit längerem per GPS-Gerät und erlangen auch mit diesem sehr heterogene und situationsabhängige Werte. Daher sind bei und alles ohnehin nur Beobachtungen. Wann die Zeit im Video aufploppt ist egal, das ist ja nur der Overlay im Editing, entscheidend ist was drauf steht, und dass kommt von der Box;)
Automann-TV warum wurde zu dem Video keine 0-250 er Zeit gemessen🤔🤔. Wenn man vom Standard spricht, dann muss wie bei zb euer gemessen/ gezeigten Audi rs3 auch diese Zeit hier zu gemessen werden.
Heigggooo stimmt, schließlich bekommen zb JP Performance oder ok chiptuning, in ihren gezeigten Videos es auch hin, die racelogic im gezeigten Video mit einzubeziehen👍👍

Geht seit 2014 mit gut mit dem 7er R :) . Und bisher keine Beschwerden über irgendwelche Turboschäden etc. an !!!serienmäßigen!!! R.

Immer lustig, wenn die Autos am Anfang der Einfädelungsspur vorbeidonnern und wenige Sekunden später selbst überholt werden 😊😅

If you look closely there are a bunch of differences. Drives completely different as well.
Automann-TV the differences are only in some interior plastics. And a different dsg. The price difference is too big. In the leon you can also order bucket seats, and brembo brakes. And still be under the golf's price. And lose zero performance.
yes and cupra st looks better imo. the back of this golf variant is ugly. And interior sound is fake 5 cylinders from speakers..
I disagree;) there are many differences which make up different cars although they have the same platform and group. Of course it’s a matter of taste or budget if one thinks it’s worth to pay that much extra for the Golf...but I personally would cause after a few weeks the Golf is just the nicer place to be and, as said, it drives different too.
seat leon cupra looks just as good from the inside and its allot cheaper its also the same car you simply pay extra for that VW badge that means nothing in the end its not a audi - bmw - merc so why waste more money on a golf rather then a better looking cupra ST?

A GTI with stickshift and a slightly modded Exhaust sound's way better. I hate this farting at every Car, the new RS4/S4 are the worst Cars with that i've seen and heard. GRRMBFLXJ i hate it sooo much.

Wirkt so, weil eine Box oder die Lautsprecher das Geräusch deutlich im Innenraum verstärken, damit das Geräusch "Sportlicher" klingt. Ich glaub das gab es erst ab dem Golf 6 GTI & R erst.
Aber bei der ganzen Filtrage ist auch echt nicht mehr viel rauszuholen wenn ich ehrlich bin :/
