  • In this video I show the VelocityAP Audi Coolant Ports for the 3.0TFSI, with 2x CWA100 pumps setup in series circuit(pre HX) and utilizing entirely 3/4in hoses throughout.
    Something I did not mentioned in the video; The reasoning for plumbing the pumps before the HX, these pumps will slightly raise the fluid temp, plumbing before the HX lets it remove that increase in temp. Then by feeding the bottom of the HX helps avoid air lock in the pumps.

    Awesome. Glad to see someone is still developing the short sights of this platform

    I get way better results by running the hot output of the intercoolers to the top inlet of the heat exchanger and feeding the cold side of the intercoolers from the bottom. I noticed huge drops in temp and also any air trapped is always left in the top of the heat exchanger. Otherwise nice setup

      Hey mate. Do you have any data to prove this at all?

    Can you show a how-to video on assembly/disassembly of this coolant hose re-route please?

    Chris, can you supply the electrical harness information needed to wire the 2 CWA100s in series?

    • @christopheredgett4919
      @christopheredgett4919  Před rokem +2

      I used the original pump wiring to power up 1 pump, the 2nd pump I just added a relay and used original pump feed as the activation for the relay. Also, the pump mod is done, so I’m only using 2 of the 3 wires for each pump, therefor they run on max all the time when powered up.

    What is your Iat delta during a 1/4 miles run with this setup?

    • @christopheredgett4919
      @christopheredgett4919  Před rokem +4

      I would start in the 40C range and end in the low 70C range, before I would hit high 80C and bank 1 would be almost +8-10C higher. So if bank 1 was 88C bank 2 was 80C. Pullies I had a 60.5/205. The main benefit was from the recovery, before I get back to staging lanes I’m back at my base temps, I rarely watch my IAT now and focus more on oil temps. Nonetheless, I’m also running port injected meth now and swapped out my lower to a 208. In process of getting chains done before I can get out testing again.

    Is there any help on running only one pump ?

      I’m running 2 pumps in series(both in-line), for 1 pump just follow the same setup and erase the section of the 2nd pump.

      Connections? They are just hoses going to the VelocityAP coolant ports.

    What a waste to use 5/8 hoses again when the product page clearly says you can heat shrink 3/4” hose …. You already went through all the effort of removing old 5/8 hard lines just to add soft lines that actually flow slower. Also you added unnecessary lines by divorcing all 4 ports . You should’ve connected both hot ports together and both cold ports together with 3/4” hose into a 3/4” T, and use the bottom of the T outlet to connect to cold side of Hx and top of pump

    • @christopheredgett4919
      @christopheredgett4919  Před měsícem

      @@Pwnulolumad The title clearly states 3/4 hoses, the first few words say 3/4 hoses being used, the part number mentioned in the video is 3/4 hoses..yet somehow you concluded I’m using 5/8 hoses? All these hoses would flow more than the stock metal piping, it’s also adding more volume to the circuit. We’re not using any type of T connection, because that adds resistance in the circuit. Instead we’re using Y connections to avoid increased resistance.

      Their video was on divorcing, which no, there really isn't any benefit. What this guy has done I'm pretty sure makes a difference.
